DKD) and a big box store (Lowe's). Right from the beginning, DKD was extremely responsive and personable, whereas Lowe's was the complete opposite. We decided to stay local and hire DKD, and we are so incredibly happy that we did! Quoting: Andrei and Andreea always answered our many questions (big and small). Whereas, we had trouble getting in touch with our Lowe's kitchen contact based on her store schedule and lack of a direct extension. DKD also easily beat Lowe's prices (Lowe's subcontracts so their prices were inflated). Also, DKD allows you to buy whatever materials (flooring, backsplash tile, grout, lighting, etc.) from whatever store you choose, whereas at Lowe's, you must buy from their limited choices. Timeliness: Andrei and his crew were on time every single day, and worked diligently and meticulously. These guys don't waste time. They also asked to work each Saturday, which we were always cool with. Quality: All of the work was superb (complete demo, new floors, new cabinets, new countertop, updated electrical & plumbing, painting, etc.) and finished within the estimated timeframes initially given. There was a great sense of care and attention to detail for each phase of the installation. We're **beyond thrilled** with the final results! Communication: Andrei and Andreea's communication was always clear and frequent, which we especially appreciated. I can honestly say Anthony has been the silver lining in what has been an otherwise extremely aggravating process. Had every vendor been as professional as East Hill, it would have been an incredible experience. Not only is the product unique, high quality and beautiful, the customer service and attention to detail is exceptional. Our designer, who has decades of experience, highly recommended Anthony to us. We were under major time constraints and he came within two days of receiving our call. He then proceeded to design a kitchen that far exceeded our expectations for a space that had many limitations. We met him at his (beautiful) showroom where he presented us with easy to understand 3D computer generated plans and went over every minute detail with us. That night we went home and reconsidered a lot of our choices (would I be able to reach the plates? Do we really like green for cabinets? Could the kids access the microwave?) When we requested yet another meeting with Anthony (I think we were pushing the third one within a week) he was not just amenable to my changes, but warm and good-humored. We went back to the drawing board and did the whole thing again (just to be clear, this was all because of our indecision and general annoyingness). After we had paid in full and received the cabinets, Anthony continued to be an integral part of our renovation (I'm pretty sure 99.9% of the general public would have been dodging our calls at this point). Whether it was altering the look of a cabinet face at HIS expense (because we had a change of heart...are you getting the picture of who the poor guy was dealing with yet??); making suggestions to the contractor for how to build out a wall to make a fridge look better; meeting us in the parking lot and loading our car, so we didn't have to get our baby out of her car seat; or even eating costs that were a result of our electrician's mistakes, Anthony was amazing and really there for us every step of the way. We are sad the project is over because it means no more Anthony...We are trying to look around my kitchen now for a reason to call him but it looks way too beautiful for me to find one single flaw.

Owner of JTH Builders, Jad Harb is a man whose word means nothing and to whom signed contract is…read morenon-binding. During the project, Jad provided minimal supervision and direction to the subcontractors and so they would all make decisions on own as they went. Any corrections by the client to bring the project back according to the building plan are considered that it is the client changing things and delaying progress. When any questions were brought up by us, Jad would ask us to speak directly with the subs, but then would rage text both the client and the subs, not to speak to each other. Our project sat idle for weeks because Jad didn't order windows ahead of time, the house wasn't fully enclosed until 7 months into the project with materials sitting in an open garage for months, because the correct garage door wasn't ordered in time. It is always someone else's fault but never Jad's for not overseeing the work. The building was taking so long from the contract sign date (18 months) that suddenly the price went up by approximately 80k! He would ask for payments prior to completing stages of work as in contract. Subcontractors would have to comeback multiple times to get the job done because the site wasn't prepped. Materials and equipment couldn't be delivered because the trucks would get stuck on the driveway that wasn't done for 7 months- we started in June and then the fall and winter came as a surprise with the weather so it couldn't be done. We heard that our building project wasn't his priority; then we heard the diggers were broke so the driveway couldn't be done; the garage door was badly damaged in shipment so needed to rush order another one for wait time of 5 weeks; windows were delayed by 20 weeks, but he said he had them ordered when we were waiting on the permit. The man has an excuse for everything all awhile he was constantly posting on his instagram (that has since been removed) the work he was completing for other clients around Fairfield County. Absolutely nothing was done ahead of time or anticipated by him as general contractor- his reactions to anything are outrageous. When we refused to pay until things we already paid for were fully completed, Jad walked off the job leaving a complete mess all around.
