When first contacting Pete, he immediately had Ricky contact me to schedule the measure. We went down to the store and were impressed not only with the super stocked, clean showroom, but the knowledge they possessed in showing us all of the available options. It was great to deal with someone with so much experience for so many years, along with a GREAT price. On the day of the (free) measure, they contacted me with an exact time that he would arrive and they were true to his word! It got even better from there. They ordered the laminate (wood grained) floor and soon the installers were at our home, and yes, on time! I must say that these guys were craftsmen, making difficult cuts and angles to make our living room and bedroom beautiful! We were BEYOND IMPRESSED with the entire experience. Let me just say that for over 40 years, I have unfortunately had to deal with the big box stores, but nothing compares to this experience with Valley Flooring; I'm really not kidding! They are obviously not a big box store, and actually have beat their prices each and every time I compared. I'm thankfully at a point now where I don't need to shop around; I KNOW that I will get the best price possible and don't have to worry about a subcontractor screwing up a job, or calling someone on the other side of the earth and wait and wait for a response to a problem I was experiencing. When you call these guys at Valley, you get a human that answers the phone and will get you answers to your questions immediately. The install I was talking about (above) was almost a year ago and everything they told us (durability, fit, look, professional install) was right on the money! I have had buyer's remorse over the years on some things I have purchased or services I have paid for, but really, once again, Valley Flooring takes the time and effort to get it right. There's something to say that IF there was a problem or mistake, I am confident that it would be taken care of immediately. In this crazy, stressful world, it is good to know that this portion.. carpet or any flooring is covered (no pun intended) by this group of guys who go the extra mile to not only earn your business, but care about their customers. Thankfully this was not the case for Mr. Matt and his team at Cutting Edge. Even with the clear labor shortage plaguing the nation, they worked with my schedule. Where to begin. Fist we had Roberto (owner) come give estimate to re-finish our hard wood floors on…read moreour first level floor. Price was fair and reasonable. We just had our whole first floor re-painted and cabinets resurfaced and painted. I asked Roberto, when he does the job, does he come to site himself , he said no, he had guys that come, but they don't speak English, only Spanish. I asked how I can convey to them what I need them to do/be aware of. Roberto said write it up and he'll tell them. So we did, only 4 things. For 1st Floor: * Requesting Dust less/Canister Vac when sanding. * WHOLE LOWER LEVER WAS JUST FRESHLY PAINTED! I understand there could be touch ups on the floor baseboards, which I will take care of. * Would like plastic on kitchen Cabinets -PLEASE USE TACKS NOT TAPE! For 2nd floor: * PLEASE COVER RUG and EDGE of Rug WITH PLASTIC & TAPE, this was also just installed. * Please cover lower end of all white spindles as well, they were also just painted. If in fact, he didn't lie these, then it shows he don't care about your home, only the money and the job. 4 days from the actual job, and after we hired movers to move everything out of house, I got a call from his office manager, telling me they can't do the job and canceled the job! Reason: Roberto can't meet my demands. They weren't demands, they were instructions for his guys who don't speak English! She also told me his guys are out on workman's comp and he's really busy. When I spoke to him the next day, he told me that he really busy and can't do it. He claims he wasn't aware that she told me it was because he didn't like my instructions (demands?). When I told him, I think your covering up for her mistake, he started to tell me, if I know how to run a business 101... I told him, if you were that busy, and using that as an excuse, why bother setting up an appointment for an appraisal in the first place? Just tell me your to busy and can't take on new clients.! Update: Roberto called me back and left me voice message from his cell, calling me a "F-ing bitch" and I needed psychological help. Then he kept calling and harassing me all night from his cell and office, I had to block him. Is this how a company is supposed to be? I would look elsewhere.. Very unprofessional!
