This company uses predatory business practices. They lure you in with their reputation and their…read morefancy show room and act super professional in the beginning - but the fact is they require $550 for an in person quote, and 50% down before starting... as soon as they received my 50% down payment (you should never do this, 50% gives the corporation far too much power) all of a sudden it's like a switch is flipped and they treat you completely different. That's because they have successfully trapped you, after that all promises of high quality, timely work, and project management that is supposed to be all of high standards, given the premium price points and additional costs of this "professional" establishment, stop existing. They then higher random 3rd party contractors for the bulk of the project for the cheapest prices - while charging you top dollar. They don't hold them accountable, and they don't care. You will have to beg to get them to show up, and beg for them to come back when round 1 ends up being such low quality work that you'll need a re-do. They do this on purpose because a lot of people want to avoid the headache and will accept the low quality work. Avoid this corporate nightmare, they deliberately will try to cut corners on you, they force you to manage your own project, and ultimately you'll realize you got completely taken advantage of. The time frame for the project they present is a lie. The high quality and professionals they promise it a lie. You need to beg to get their experienced pros - they will send you random workers they find who barely know what their doing for the first round - then give you the better workers if you complain. Get ready to get on your hands and knees begging for your project to get focused on while you try to compete with 10+ other people begging for their project to get done at the same time. They over schedule and don't care because all they care about is getting you wrapped up in the predatory contract and then that's it, you're trapped. Find businesses that don't have these predatory business practices, go directly to places and work with them directly. You don't need a glorified middle man to "manage" the project for you, it's nonsense - it actually overcomplicates the project and they don't manage anything anyways, they make you become a full time project manager or things will never get done - or be such low quality that it'll appear your premium priced project was a DIY job. If you respect your time, money, and soul, you won't use KSI corporate nightmare.

My wife and I wanted new laminate kitchen counters. We had been given some contacts for countertops…read morebut all of them only dealt in stone. On the third call I asked if anyone still made/installed laminate countertops and was given the phone number for The Kitchen Top Shop. We called and drove down to their showroom on 8 Mile Rd that afternoon. Long story short- a family owned business with the second generation taking over. An enormous selection of laminates from the two industry leaders, Formica and Wilsonart. We worked with John for both sales and installation. John was just great to work with! The countertops were part of a series of upgrades we were doing in our home and we wanted them to go well with new flooring and paint. John showed us an undermount sink by Karran, which we didn't even know was possible with laminate. We did a couple of other tweaks to our original project and still thought the pricing was very good. (We recommend spending the extra money for the decorative edging!) It took us a while to choose a laminate pattern, but once we did John got the materials ordered and had everything ready to install just two weeks after we provided the pattern information. The installation went extremely well! John brought along Mitchell as his helper. The two of them had the plumbing disconnected and our old countertops removed in short order. The final trimming and customization of the countertops was done on site to ensure that all the pieces fit perfectly and the faucet and electrical outlets went exactly where we wanted them. The project included the installation of a new garbage disposal, and John cleaned up the plumbing layout under the sink to allow for better access and more room. Mitchell is a wizard with the caulking gun, and cleanup was very thorough. The finished product is nothing short of spectacular. The new countertops have really transformed our kitchen. One of our neighbors came over and was certain we had gotten real stone put in. Everything looks great and is working perfectly. Good pricing, great craftsmanship, and super nice people to work with. Highly recommended!!

Mr. Jaber and I agreed on the 3D kitchen model that's attached below that will be done in one week. We received the order after 5 weeks. Mr. Jaber took the wrong measurements for the cabinets and he had to change the model on the day of the installation. Because the dishwasher wouldn't fit if he didn't do so. The door next to the sink would scrape and scratch the sink every time I opened it. He made damage in the ceiling, cabinet door, fridge box damaged with nail showing on the side of the box. He left the lazy Susan uninstalled and the door not attached to it. The cabinets underneath molding I not fully covered. Do not work with G&M Cabinets they are unprofessional. You will lose your money and time with G&M cabinets. Paid him a lot of money for his unprofessional work. Overall these cons, he is as a person is not respectful and will hang up the phone while you're talking. Not answering phone calls or text messages. I DON'T RECOMMEND G&M Cabinets and if I can give a negative star I would do so because he doesn't deserve the one star. 5 ,

Beth was an absolute dream to work with!…read more She went above and beyond to help us find the perfect chandelier for our foyer. Once we found the one we loved, Beth noticed they had two floor models. Naturally, I asked--okay, practically begged--if we could purchase one. She spoke with her manager, worked her magic, and we were able to leave with it! But she didn't stop there. Beth securely strapped herself onto what can only be described as a monstrosity of a machine and safely removed the chandelier for us. She then cleaned it up, spoke with her manager about getting us a small discount since it was a floor model, and made sure we were all set before sending us on our way. Her willingness to help, attention to detail, and genuine effort to make sure we were taken care of really stood out. She absolutely deserves kudos for a job well done!
