There's nothing better than being with a gym so long you get to experience all the growth that…read morecomes with it! Nikki & Nick have really built something special in Scottsdale. I haven't been at Bodi since the beginning but I have been a member for over 5 years and I definitely love that place! There are multiple options of classes that incorporate strength and cardio, yoga, heated mat Pilates and boxing (now Hyrox based class and straight lifting classes). They have expanded to 3 studios to offer all those classes, which is amazing! There's always a variety of exercises to hit the main muscles groups and the accessory muscle groups. The recovery room is super convenient to use after a class or on a rest day. Variety of class times to meet a large range of schedules. They truly value their members and community and are constantly finding ways to benefit the members even more. It can always be a little intimidating trying a new gym or class but I think they do a great job at trying to make everyone feel welcome & it's generally easy to follow along if feeling lost during a workout. The coaches bring so much energy & fun to the classes as well. Bodi is very affordable in comparison to other gyms (especially if you catch one of their sales around holidays). Class pass is another great way to experience some bodi classes. Definitely worth it to try at least once!!

I also love the layout of the gym it's clean, well spaced out, and the equipment is great. My only con so far is that, in my experience, the trainers haven't been very engaged with the class or offered much guidance on form. One of the things I love most about group fitness is when instructors hype up the room & shouting out members, offering motivation, or demoing the moves alongside the class instead of just in the beginning and I haven't really seen that yet. That said, the staff are all super friendly, the gym offers so much more than just strength training (which I'm excited to explore), and the playlists are a solid 10/10. If you're in Scottsdale or just want to try a new gym I highly recommend this one!

Her instructions were clear to follow and she was good at checking up on each of us to make sure we had good form. If you are a first timer be sure to arrive at least 15 minutes early so your instructor can give you the details on how the equipment works and go over all the different moves for the class. It was my first time using the megaformer so there was a bit of a learning curve but it wasn't too bad using it. I definitely got a good workout and various muscles were sore the next day. The room and equipment were all very well maintained and there was a lot of cool air flow throughout the class so while the workout could be intense, I never felt overheated or warm. I would definitely come here again for a class! Details: - Next to Black Rock Coffee and Playa Bowls - Grip socks required for Lagree class - Lockers available - Class Pass participant

I was not disappointed. I was a walk-in (fairly priced at $25 and booked through mindbodyonline). It is clear that John is a top-tier yoga instructor. His cues were precise without being overbearing, and his adjustments were spot-on. I got a great workout while still feeling calm and centered--exactly how I suspect yoga should feel when done well. I did not try the showers or check out the retail section, but John and his class get an A+ from me.

I could easily follow along with the class because the movements were similar to what I was used to. It was a great workout! A couple things that are different about this studio than pilates studios I have been to in general: the music is very loud and the lights are dimmed (there is backlighting so you can still see). I had to wear earplugs because I am paranoid that being in a room with loud music for an hour long class will hurt my hearing!

I had heard about The Hive in another city and finally made the trek over while in Scottsdale -- honestly not even sure what to expect. Gym? Recovery lounge? Wellness spa? We low-key expected a hole-in-the-wall situation... absolutely not. This place is straight-up luxury. Think elite fitness club meets high-end wellness center with a super cool aesthetic, moody lighting, multiple curated spaces, café vibes, retail, recovery zones -- the whole experience feels intentional and elevated from the moment you walk in. And it's not just trendy wellness fluff either -- they've got legit medical-grade recovery tech (PEMF, HOCATT, hormone replacement therapy, vagus nerve treatments ,therma lounge , many advanced therapies beyond your typical IV drip setups). The gym itself? Top-tier imported Panatta equipment from Italy -- serious fitness folks know how rare that is even in bougie gyms. Towels already placed on cardio machines, never overcrowded, thoughtful details everywhere. Add in açaí bowls, protein shakes, wellness services, retail... it's honestly next-level. Bonus: they offer a 7-day pass which makes it easy to experience everything. Came curious, left impressed -- definitely one of the most elevated fitness/wellness spaces I've visited.

Well, I hit the jackpot with this studio recommended by one of my good friends. I've had Amanda and Doug, both excellent! Doug shines amongst the brightest in terms of the many instructors and trainers that I've had. He's the only person aside from my doctor that can accurately describe what chronic fatigue feels like. That is simply amazing considering he doesn't have the condition himself (that I know of). His empathy is genuine, not superficial. In spite of all the instructors I've had, I've learned more from Doug in two sessions about managing my energy than anyone else. My session today was very seriously life-changing. When I walked out of that studio today, I had more hope for the future than I've had in years. Instead of being fearful of physical decline and inability to do things, I felt like I had a legitimate, sustainable way to increase and maintain my energy. I am genuinely grateful that I found Simply Pilates and am looking forward to continuing there. Highly recommended! Note: During my first visit, Amanda explained that they do Classic Pilates, not Contemporary Pilates. That means they do exercises created by Joseph Pilates without modifications. A distinction like that is important to me because form is very important to me and I know I'm learning something that can be replicated if I go to studios in other states or countries.
