In the past, I had a terrible experience with a gym. They focused hugely on protein shakes and supplements and had a no-pain-no-gain macho-type attitude, and pushed me to the point of having serious allergic reactions due all sorts of foods due to chronic inflammation. Fit One Five has been a completely different experience. Yes, they push me, and getting enough protein is a emphasized, but the focus is on finding something that is sustainable for my lifestyle and by using whole foods instead of supplements when possible. Alyssa has been great about working around limitations of my body and helping me strengthen muscles that support and eliminate those limitations. I'm stronger than I've ever been, my lab results are the best they've been in 10+ years, and I've lost 42 pounds. I feel much more confident about the way I look, and I am actually excited and motivated to keep going!
