I have Florida Blue insurance and was initially told my responsibility would be a $30 co-pay per visit. This remained true until my second evaluation, after which my charges increased--without any prior notice or explanation. Weeks later, I received multiple unexpected bills for past appointments on top of the co-pays I had already paid. This lack of transparency was frustrating and avoidable. I would have appreciated being informed of the change in billing before treatment continued, or at minimum receiving accurate charges at the time of each visit so I knew what I was agreeing to pay. Due to the poor communication and unprofessional attitude from the billing department, I ultimately chose to stop treatment. This was unfortunate, as the physical therapists themselves were knowledgeable and genuinely helpful.

Rob's personality and professionalism is above and beyound We had a problem one morning my husband who is in pretty bad shape got up one morning and had a 24 hour bug I called very early to try and let them know as it isnt a nice thing to cancel that morning but what are you suppose to do waking up with no warning. The girl at the desk didnt want to help what so ever so I asked for the managers number she told me I was going to get the same answer and was very rude about it , she finally gave me Katies number , I called and tried to explain the issue at first calmly then my voice started to go over her and she said that the girl at the desk was correct so I admit I was not happy at that point a patients time is just as valuable as a Dr, no one is better than the other. She told me it didnt work that way that you guys loose money and time. I fully understand but if this was not the patients MO there should be some kind of allowance , she told me if I had a better attitude she would of considered it , I tried to explain I had a tuff morning my mom was rushed to the hosiptal with emergency surgery my husband wasnt well and I was waiting on a blood marrow decision , she showed no compasion she said howd you like it if I was her position her family was in Ct she would have to find a flight and make arrangements so if she was in that situation it would be worse, little did she know our mom is in Ct ,(be very carefull what you say) and we couldnt make it up there with the shape my husbands in .She went on to tell me how lucky were are that you are charging what you guys charge and your not connoisseur services , I thought thats your choice not ours it got worse and worse the more she spoke so at the end I stated how the patients at Jupiter are gratefull that we have a place that gives great care and charges what they do, that wasnt good enough she then told me I was sarcastic , I was truly trying to give credit . At the end of the conversation I tried to apologize several times it wasnt being accepted and she told me its to late . Then told me you know what you need go and take a walk I then handed the phone to my husband and he hung up . We are both seniors and have issues I think at this time in our lives we deserve a little respect as we have always did that our entire lives for others sometimes you have to just listen to people and let the steam out and try to do your best to understand what they might be going through. I told her that I cancelled the rest of his appiontments as hes a sick man and didnt want this to happen again she then told me I was threating her a threat is Iam going to cancel not I already did . Sorry this happened as Rob is a great therapist . She told me we werent welcome back , so I guess that was a threat ,as I had already cancelled . Never had these issues anywhere else we have gone to and we have gone to many doctors for my husbands issues . We are going to miss Rob as he was making progress.
