I was called back to dr Saylors office at 10:20 which i consider to be on time, If a doctor of his Calabar can see you within 20 minutes of your appointment then I think he has doe exceptionally well, His p.a. talked to me first I was impressed with her professionism, he came in a couple minutes later and again I was impressed . He took his time and i felt that he asked all the right questions. I definitelywill go back to him again. I asked that, he send a summary of my visit, to two of my doctors, he then dictated a summary of my visit and had the office give me two written copies of my visit summary, which i will deliver to my doctors on Monday(today is Friday). His office is well managed and everything seemed very organized, much better than most high volume offices. I'd say the entire visit was a strong five star visit. Not one problem at at all everything was perfect.

my girlfriend went through a horrific incident involving her getting bit on both hands and arms and…read morewas rushed from jfk to st marys for trauma care. on discharge the hospital referred us to dr. saylor's office. when i called to make the urgent appointment last friday the woman from saylor's office told me that they do not take her insurance but because she was just coming from st mary's the only possible fee would be "if they needed xrays". we really just wanted her to see a specialists asap and since she say dr. saylor in the hospital we wanted to stick with him. i took off work for the incident, and two days. this 1:45pm appointment was the fastest we could be seen so we took it and i left work again because she cannot drive with the injuries. after waiting in the waiting room for 30 minutes i realized that something was wrong so i asked and low and behold, they missed our sign in because somebody screwed up. then the called us in and said "today's visit will be $300. he may be a great doctor but his office staff needs training in customer relations. the never said anything about a fee to see the doctor. so upset my girlfriend started to cry and we walked out!

The doctors assistant that was present can attest to our horrible experience as she was a witness in the room with me and my father. First Rehab and Dave Kashuba are "off the charts.". I have a degenerative spine,so much so, that surgeons felt surgery was a necessity. The consensus was to insert a rod and screws from under my shoulder blades to my tail bone. This was in early March, and the surgery was scheduled for June 18th. I had heard incredible stories from friends how Dave and First Rehab had saved them from surgery. I started rehab in early March , the idea being to relieve the intense pain with which I was living until my surgery date. Under Dave's auspices , I kept feeling better and better, and by mid May, I was incredibly and literally pain free. I called the surgeon, and he postponed the surgery. I returned to all my prior activities and began swimming freestyle and am up to 1/2 mile 4 days a week. The surgeon considered Dave a miracle worker(as do I). In addition, to being the best in his field, Dave is so warm, personable and approachable. He is so "down to earth" and welcomes calls at any time. Dr. Dave Kashuba and the staff at First Rehab are amazing. From the moment you walk through the door you are treated like family. Dr. Dave Kashuba goes above and beyond for his patients and their families. The therapy I received made a tremendous difference in my recovery after a serious wrist fracture requiring surgery. The facility is run like a fine-tuned machine with everyone working together. Dave and his staff have since taken care of both of my elderly parents and my teenage son who is often injured playing sports. I trust the professional staff at First Rehab, they are the best. read more

I value the fact that at Saylor, the therapist is present with you for the entire hour. The front desk staff at this location has been outstanding, although my experience at the Wellington office was quite the opposite (which is now closed, and I am not surprised). If I were to rate the therapists and the WPB office, they would undoubtedly receive 5 stars. I am quite disappointed and perplexed by the abrupt closure of this office this week. There is, however, one issue that has been raised by several individuals: the matter of missed appointments. I have been a patient at Saylor for a very long time and have missed only ONE appointment during that period. On that particular morning, I woke up feeling very ill, making it impossible for me to attend. In fact, it would have been IRRESPONSIBLE for me to show up, as I could have potentially infected my therapist, other therapists, and fellow patients, some of whom are in poor health. I called immediately upon realizing my condition to inform them that I could not make it. They were understanding but informed me that I would need to pay the fee out of pocket. I expressed my dissatisfaction, considering this was the first time I had to cancel, and was told that this was the policy. While I understand the policy, I had never missed an appointment before or since. I insisted on speaking with her supervisor. I explained the situation and emphasized that I should not be charged for the reasons stated above. She ultimately agreed not to charge me but mentioned that the therapist would lose that hour's income. I did find a way to compensate her. If anyone from Saylor reads this review, I hope they will consider implementing a new, more compassionate approach to handling such situations. I would recommend that a reliable patient not be charged after maintaining a consistent appointment schedule for six months, in which case Saylor could ensure the therapist is compensated. This approach would help keep clients satisfied and staff healthy. Additionally, it is preferable for Saylor to avoid having sick patients in the clinic. You would lose more money in that case.

I have Florida Blue insurance and was initially told my responsibility would be a $30 co-pay per visit. This remained true until my second evaluation, after which my charges increased--without any prior notice or explanation. Weeks later, I received multiple unexpected bills for past appointments on top of the co-pays I had already paid. This lack of transparency was frustrating and avoidable. I would have appreciated being informed of the change in billing before treatment continued, or at minimum receiving accurate charges at the time of each visit so I knew what I was agreeing to pay. Due to the poor communication and unprofessional attitude from the billing department, I ultimately chose to stop treatment. This was unfortunate, as the physical therapists themselves were knowledgeable and genuinely helpful.
