The yoga class was great and the star of the show was the instructor Hanna. I was in the beginner class and the pace of the class was good enough that I could keep up. The lighting and music was perfect for some yoga although the music kept getting interrupted ever so often. Both Hanna and the person assisting her went around the class correcting everyone's postures. She was funny and very encouraging which is always a plus. The cherry on top was the quick neck massage at the very end, which I did not expect! Gotta love those surprises.

After talking with Albert & David about their philosophy and about the body, I realized they actually DO know about kinesiology and I decided to try a month. It's been 9 months now and I love coming here. My flexibly is better after old sports injuries, I am stronger, and injury free. I send my clients with chronic pain here to complete their wellness and at home care for strength, as part of their rehabilitation. They are professional, knowledgeable, have integrity, and I can trust them with my clients. I have also gained confidence, dropped 20 lbs, two dress sizes, and my legs look fantastic! I mean, what if they don't?! (We've all seen that meme of our summer body post coronavirus. Ya know, the one of a circle?! Ugh.) Well. I personally have tried to keep my fitness routine up as a way of de-stressing. Because trust me... global pandemics make me anxious. Crashing economies make me fearful. Homeschooling my kiddos makes me nervous. (And on a lesser note... the fact that pool days and summer are indeed approaching makes me both uneasy and thrilled.) Luckily, so many local businesses are offering virtual classes. Hothouse Yoga has two classes a day on Zoom. Heck yes! This review is strictly on their online services during the pandemic. On day nineteen of my distancing I partook during the lunch hour. I adored the sense of community. Even though I could really only see my instructor, Sarah, just knowing others were doing what I was doing was oddly exhilarating. What a fabulous vinyasa class-- I could feel my stress leave my body. Hothouse Yoga... in a normal, non-distancing time... is in a super convenient location right downtown. A parking ramp lives across the street. (First hour free.) The folks that work here are very passionate and knowledgeable. Pricing is... standard? ($100 a month unlimited classes for non-students, $70 for students.) Thank you, Hothouse Yoga. I didn't feel like the movements were too difficult for my skill level (which is more of a beginner, closer to intermediate I'd say), and there were a variety of options for all skill levels so that you didn't feel left out. This class wasn't incredibly serious, but it was more laidback and fun. That is also something I really enjoy because I feel less stressed/anxious. If anything, the smiles and laughter kept me interested and made me feel like I've been going there for ages.
