I'm a gymnast there and it is the best gym I've ever been in the coaches are super sweet

Great for younger kids (ages 1-5); however, some of the teenager teachers are lazy and don't engage with the students. I saw 3 teachers sit and watch as the students did exercises. They didn't encourage the students, only scolded them and punished them if the students didn't do the exercises correctly. The adult coaches on the teams really seemed to enjoy their interaction with the students. read more

The owners are parents themselves and understand the needs of each child and their families. Their computer system for managing enrollment, payments, class sizes and online parent portal is efficient and accurate. Coaches are motivating and lead a structured routine. Somersaults is flexible if our kids need to take "breaks" from gymnastics and sit out a session to try other sports. The waiting room has large windows to view, and is very sound proof so you can read, work or watch your child in a quiet environment. If your child is hesitant or just not 'feeling it' that session, another staff member comes in to help warm them up and encourage them. They send just the right amount of email communication and post the latest on their bulletin boards to inform you of class times, optional meets, open gym sessions and special events. read more

My 7 year old twins have been going to Somersaults for a couple years now and they love it! My daughter has special needs and they have a lot of patience with her and accomodate her well! They are always excited to go to gymnastics and we love the staff there! read more

My five year old daughter is currently enrolled in the summer program. She has a blast but I'm not so sure she is really learning anything. I'll likely check out other gyms in the area for her next session. read more

My parents owned a gymnastics club in Illinois when I grew up...Somersaults feels like home to me. We love Somersaults! All three of my kids started taking classes when they were 18 months old, and my oldest is 10 now. The owners are amazing, and create such a welcoming environment. They have an extensive background in gymnastics, and physical education in general, and also teach classes themselves. The entire staff is very knowledgeable, and most (if not all) seem to have previous experience in gymnastics. Not only have my kids progressed in their gymnastics skills over the years, but they have also increased their strength, flexibility, and ability to balance....all of which are beneficial to any sport/activity. read more

My daughter has taken classes for 7 years and has enjoyed all the teachers, learned solid gymnastic skills, and gained strength!
