I had really bad neck pain…read more I've been sent to physical therapy many time in my life. I always go once and never go back. I usually just do the exercises on my own, but then I came here. I've been coming for two months. Mary Stern is awesome. I look forward to my next visits (which is insane if you knew me). She is very smart and knows technics for the spine that very few therapists know (McKenzie method). She cares....and that is the best trait in a heath care professional. She talks through and finds the solution(s). I was hesitant to post this glowing review because I didn't want to let the secret out. Gerry is the other therapist and seems to have similar characteristics (his patients are happy). I truly found my personal therapist for as long as Mary will take me (all future problems). No more one and done. She has me hooked on the process and my neck pain is way better than it was before I met her. Thanks!!!!!!!

My insurance company required that I go through a course of physical therapy before they would approve the surgery. I was skeptical as to getting any benefit from the PT since I had been through the process many times prior to my past surgeries. After my first visit working with Gerry, I immediately felt a connection. Gerry was knowledgeable, professional and caring and I believed that this process could be successful. And it was because I have reached a level of improvement whereby my quality of life has been dramatically improved. Gerry was the catalyst that enabled me to reach the level of success I have attained. Alan E.

If you are looking for highly reputable Physical Therapists, look no further! Hands down, One to…read moreOne Physical Therapy is the best around for the evaluation, assessment and treatment of abnormal physical functions related to an injury, surgery, disability, or other health condition. After stem cell treatment on my right knee (March 2021), I signed up for Aquatic Therapy at One to One (Boca Clinic). Lucas treated me with the highest quality of physical therapy in a heated pool; his expertise in Aquatic Therapy is second to none! He was extremely patient and knowledgeable with guided exercises in a heated pool. Firsthand, I learned how the warm water allowed me to move my knee with increased flexibility, less pain, and a broader range of motion. I loved every minute of Aquatic Therapy; I hated getting out of the pool at the end of each session! Unfortunately, the stem cell treatment did not kill the pain in my knee. As a last resort, my orthopedic surgeon recommended a complete knee replacement. Successively, I received a total knee replacement in March (2022). Since then, I have received ongoing physical therapy two times weekly from Dan (One to One, Boca Clinic). I can't rave enough about Dan! He has greatly enhanced the restoration of movement in my knee since the first day of my treatment with him (March 2022). His combination of therapeutic exercises, assisted devices, and manual massages significantly increased my recovery process. He is quite skilled in easing inflammation, minimizing pain, and safely treating different tense areas. He has also optimized my recovery by identifying specific movements and recommending helpful exercises at home. In addition to Lucas and Dan, many others influence the highest quality of care at One to One. As you walk through the front door, you are warmly greeted by a talented team of professionals. The receptionists at the front desk go the extra mile to schedule sessions around individual work schedules. Under the guidance of Zelinda, the level of care displayed by Physical Therapists differentiates One to One from all others. Thanks to so many professionals at One to One, I am on the road to recovery! If I could give One to One in Boca more than five stars, I would!

I strongly believe that Marcia Peretto and the team she has trained are the leading physical…read moretherapists in the United states for patients suffering from complex musculoskeletal disorders. I am a highly trained, retired medical professional who has suffered for many years from Hypermobility ehlers-danlos syndrome, thoracic outlet syndrome, craniocervical instability and the neurological consequences of these disorders. I am currently traveling by plane to see Marcia Peretto every three months for three weeks at a time because I know only she has the medical expertise to treat me after the medical system has failed to help me. She has studied and understands the body in a deep way that I have not seen in ANY OTHER expert physical therapist. Only Marcia could begin my healing journey despite my having tried over 20 other physical therapists and treatment modalities (including stem cells and prolotherapy). She has studied in depth the biomechanics of movement and the complexities of neuroscience and anatomy. But it is her keen ability to observe the unique neuromuscular patterns and the tiniest subtleties that allows her to cure many patients who have lost hope. Marcia gives 120% to each and every one of her patients and she brings energy, enthusiasm and thoughtfulness to every session. Dr. Peretto communicates with you in a warm and friendly fashion with wonderful analogies that help you understand your body and the journey ahead. When I work with Marcia, it's like a light bulb switch has turned on in my body and my body learns with her guidance how to move with greater ease. Marcia Peretto is one of the few physical therapists who utilizes Redcord (a system of slings designed to increase neuromuscular activation and function to facilitate correct movement patterns). Because of her vast experience with redcord and the way it eliminates gravity, she can diagnose compensatory abnormal muscular activation and correct them within minutes. For instance, before I came to Marcia on this trip, I could not use my arms normally and I had difficulty reaching, picking up objects and lifting my arms overhead. By placing my arms in the Redcord slings, she immediately noticed I would not externally rotate my arm at the shoulder which caused more joint instability at the elbow. The EDS body learns not to use the unstable joint normally, guarding around it. After one week of treatment, I am using my arms more normally with ease. I believe that nearly every person with EDS has hypermobility at the junction of the head and neck which when symptomatic becomes craniocervical instability. My upper cervical spine would sublux (meaning the upper cervical joints would move out of its place); therefore I would just stop sidebending my head which resulted in extreme muscle loss of these very important muscles of the upper cervical spine. In EDS, we need to rely on harmonious movement and overly strong muscles to make up for our over stretched ligaments. Marcia put me in a sling to support my head and had me side bend my head and neck for the first time in four years. My inherent guarding of these muscles melted away and she could notice how my head would shift abnormally when I performed these movements. In the redcord system, she taught me proper cervical sidebending in three sessions which had not been impossible. One could think that Marcia Peretto is a miracle worker, but rather it is her extremely rare combination of brilliance, utter devotion to the patient, creativity in adapting exercises to the specific nuances of a patient's body and clinical insight that makes her a very truly remarkable physical therapist. I owe her each and every day I have.

I waited three weeks and when I arrived, she told me I don't have the prescription you should go home. I was baffled. I asked why she couldn't call the doctor and get it faxed and she said we don't do that. I called my own doctor and asked them to fax it after an hour. I walked out. The receptionist chased me out to the parking lot and asked me if I wanted to reschedule? I said why would I reschedule when I can't get into my original appointment. Two weeks went by and I had a friend of mine called and they said they received the prescription, but nobody advised me about it. I tried to make an appointment and she said I didn't get my discharge papers from my former Physical Therapist. She never mentioned that when I was waiting for an hour the first time I went. Two weeks later she finally gets. The discharge letter tells me to come the day after Christmas at 9 AM. I go at 8:45 and I was told it was closed because it's the day after Christmas. I was infuriated so I went back later that day to get all my paperwork so I could go somewhere else. She had the nerve to tell me that I missed my appointment at 10 that day. I don't know what is wrong with her or why they have somebody so stupid working the front desk, but I will never recommend or advise anybody to go to that facility. Because of this girl, I am six weeks without any physical therapy for a broken femur. If this is the way she treats people on a walker she shouldn't be working in that physical therapy field because she has no compassion whatsoever.

Unfortunately, the CNA staff was subpar and, at times, outright abusive. My elderly mother was admitted and, within just two days, was given incorrect medication that made her seriously ill. We had to request her discharge immediately for her own safety. The administrative staff was equally disappointing -- unhelpful, unknowledgeable, and more interested in blaming one another than solving urgent patient issues. It was clear that they accepted a patient they were not properly equipped to care for, which put her health in jeopardy. She was left sitting in vomit for over 1.5 after she called for assistance and no one came to help her. A formal complaint is being submitted to the state, including full documentation of their actions and the neglect and mistreatment my mother experienced. I did a search for Florida Movement Therapy Centers, and this is what their website says: "Specialties: Florida Movement Therapy Centers is recognized as South Florida's leading company in physical, occupational, speech and cognitive therapies specializing in balance and movement disorders." Most physical therapists specialize in orthopedic physical therapy. Most orthopedic problems can be partially or totally fixed/healed through various repetitive motions within a finite period of time. What sets these centers apart from others is that a great majority of their clients have neurological diseases or impairments that can't be cured. Most need ongoing physical, occupational and/or speech therapy, in order to improve their condition and prevent (or slow) the inevitable continuous, steady decline. Unlike most physical therapy businesses, ALL of the therapists at Florida Movement Therapy Centers understand and can treat these various neurological conditions, (multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, cerebral palsy, and more). Everyone who works at Florida Movement Therapy Centers, from the people with doctoral degrees in physical therapy to the interns to the receptionists, all understand the needs of their clients with neurological impairments. They are dedicated to fulfill the needs of their clients and to stop, slow, or reverse the inevitable neurological decline, for as long as possible. If you, or your loved one has an ongoing neurological impairment or disease, I recommend these therapy centers highly! They understand the unique problems of these conditions and are highly dedicated to helping you have a better quality of life, no matter what your current condition may be.
