After searching several options online, I chose Atlantic Therapy because its website resonated with me. At my first visit, Dr. Krystal Schoch (the owner) conducted an intake interview to assess my situation. I was immediately impressed with her, and the interview itself. After about 40 minutes, Krystal introduced me to Nancy (my primary PT). Nancy conducted a short PT session with me immediately following the intake interview. Nancy was gentle, but firm and it was evident she knew exactly what was needed to alleviate my arm pain. Not only did my pain go away completely because of my PT experience at Atlantic Therapy, but surprisingly I actually enjoyed the experience. For the most part, I was doing exercises overseen and helped by Nancy in a spacious open room with other patients. What I found particularly positive was the friendliness of the staff and camaraderie that developed between the patients, even though we were all there for a variety of health concerns. It was sort of magical to me. (Many years ago I was in PT and it was a rather cold, matter of fact experience.) When you go to Atlantic Therapy, you're immediately welcomed by Madalena at the front desk and always treated like a member of a unique club. Not only did I get a 10-minute massage at the start of each session, but I got personalized care and a doable exercise routine that made me feel 100% better. I highly recommend Atlantic Therapy if you need physical therapy for any reason. Marilyn W

I have experienced a variety of PT places through the years - as a caregiver and a care getter. I…read morehave to say, CORA in Delray Beach is the BEST I've ever dealt with. Here's why... The staff is exceptional. I had to have surgery the last week in May and I chose CORA Delray Beach as my surgeon suggested. I was taken from the hospital the day after my surgery directly to CORA. It was the LAST thing I wanted to do and tried unsuccessfully to put it off to another day. I just wanted to go home. My leg was wrapped up - I couldn't lift it, bend it, walk on it. I met Arielle who did an assessment and gently tried to get me to do some very minimal movements - flexing my foot and other small things. After about 15 min I just started crying out of frustration and the realization that this recovery was going to be much harder than I thought. Arielle sat with me and talked to me. Among the things she said to me was "Let's concentrate on celebrating the little victories." Her encouragement was exactly what I needed - it wasn't pity (oh you poor thing) it was a roadmap to recovery. As the sessions progressed I graduated from the wheelchair to the walker to no assistance. During that time I was introduced to B who became my therapist for the remaining sessions. Both he and Arielle were always showing me the progress I was making when I doubted myself. They truly gave me my life back and got me walking again. I will be forever grateful to them. I actually started looking forward to PT, challenging myself and their excitement at my every little victory. Oh and B's jokes. And his dance moves. During the almost 3 months of PT, I witnessed people coming in with a variety of challenges. Every patient was given the same attention, encouragement and an expertly designed path for their recovery. No one ever felt rushed - you were given the time you needed. Their first day was much like mine as were the days they progressed. Those of us that had PT the same days formed a community of sorts. We were all rooting for each other and our coaches lead the team. Arielle, B and the Kims made it fun to come in. I was first curious and perhaps a little wary that the facility wasn't packed with people and therapists on my initial visit. I soon learned why. The Kims (yes there are 2 of them) at the front desk were incredible at scheduling as were Arielle and B. They do a great job -and they're super nice. I never had to wait to start my therapy or had to sit during it and wait until a therapist was done with someone else. It becomes clear that their priority is YOU. While that may seem like everyone does that - others do not. I have been to PT places with shiny new equipment, many many therapists and many patients just waiting around. At CORA if your session in an hour, you will work for an hour. They keep you moving. Most days I walked out sweating from simple things like stepping up one step and down one step. It always amazed me that such simple movements could make such an incredible impact. The difficulty of the exercises increased gradually - I hardly noticed it until my progress was celebrated by everyone. The bottom line is this. At CORA they not only focus on the physical, but on the mental and emotional aspects of recovery as well. They will cheer you on and encourage you every step of the way, all while providing excellent exercises and challenges. And if you need to just cry, they will be there for you as well. They genuinely care about you - all of you. Their dedication to their patients is a rare find. If you want a shiny "gym like" experience with therapists that give you about 30% of their time, then go elsewhere for your care. However, if you want the best care, the best staff and best outcome for your recovery choose CORA Delray Beach. I did and am so thankful that I did. You will be too.

After hospitalization and three months of in home nursing care and occupational and physical therapy I was barely able to get around with a walker. After discharge from home therapy and a month of therapy elsewhere I was lucky enough to find Aberdeen Physical Therapy headed by Ian Nagle and with his fantastic assistant Kayleigh. Unlike the mega clinics that pack 15 staff and 50 patients into a shopping center space Aberdeen is a small center with two therapists and no more than five patients at a time. This allows for the personal attention that contributes to the best overall outcomes. On my first visit Ian evaluated me and immediately determined that the greatest impediment to my ability to ambulate was the weakness in my hip rotator. He devised an individualized exercise plan for me and literally "hands on" began working the muscles that were holding me back. Within two weeks I was able to put the walker in the closet and walk exclusively with the cane. Ian and Kayleigh continued adding strengthening activities to my routine until I was able to walk without the cane in most instances. I still use it for longer distances and on rougher terrain. I cannot express my gratitude to this team of caregivers. Rather than Physical Therapists I call them Physical Magicians.
