One of my students she worked with opened up and began communicating so much with the other students and adults. I even saw great improvements in his writings. I was so thrilled with his progress, as was his mom. Another student that she worked with was speech impaired. This student made remarkable progress. At the beginning of the year, I could not understand anything this student was saying. The student became very frustrated. Stephanie worked with her with great patience and it was so amazing to see the growth this student made. I could clearly understand her the first time she told me something! This brought so much joy to the student and myself. I was amazed the progress that this student had made. I think Stephanie is an outstanding person that has a special gift for helping children reach their full potential.

I was concerned, because he had been previously diagnosed with a fractured skull, multiple falls, multiple hospital admissions, and Parkinson's disease. A woman named JEWEN called to let me know about his hospitalization and was going to have someone call me back on the following Monday, No One called; I called her again on Tuesday--NO RESPONSE. I had to do some sleuthing to find out where my brother was and what his condition was. I SHOULD NOT have to do this on my own! She is totally irresponsible and I would NOT recommend this group at all. If I could give them a ZERO rating, I would.

I hired FirstLantic to accompany my uncle to a doctor's appointment. I hate to say that my uncle…read morenever made it to the appointment though yet he was charged the full amount. The aide took him to the wrong doctor's office in the same complex four doors down from the correct office. She didn't ask the wrong office where the ClerlyDerm office was which would have been such an easy thing to do. Instead they just left and returned my uncle to gods residence. They didn't call me until after they left to return my uncle and we're well on their way. They passed the blame on the transportation driver for the mix up and wouldn't refund the money taken for this mess up. I paid for services that weren't rendered. My uncle has very little money so this was unfortunately a huge $120 hit to his meager finances. So, please learn from my mistake and be very careful dealing with this company as they might, like in my case, not fulfill the agreement upon services and will still charge you and yet remain fully unaccountable by blaming others for their mess up. Very unprofessional.

A man experiences severe back pain, so bad that he cannot get out of his truck or walk and calls…read more911. EMTs pick him up & give fentanyl on the way to JFK Main ER. He arrives at the ER & vitals are taken. According to the medical records, the pain "started at work after heavy lifting". The man never got out of his truck, never made this statement. (Record also states he is a "current every day smoker". The man has never smoked a cigarette in his life.) They send him for a CT scan, which just shows some degenerative changes". The nurse sticks a lidocaine patch on his back. Then no one comes to see him. A nurse walks by & a family member asks has anyone taken his BP recently. Her reply,"Did you ask him?", meaning the patient. What kind of snarky response is that??? The ER was not busy, but the patient, with the fentanyl wearing off, is now extremely uncomfortable. The ER physician, Dr. S comes in to tell the patient he's being discharged. The family member tells the doctor that the patient complained of urgency & painful urination that morning. The doctor tells them to go have his prostate checked. NO LABS WERE DONE. A simple urinalysis would've shown that the patient had a UTI. There was tenderness in the right lower back area. But Dr. S ignores this and sends the man home. T - temperature (normal) I - Infection (painful urination) M - Mental Decline (patient was anxious & "tired" by discharge) E - Extremely Ill (patient felt the worse he's felt in his life with severe pain) TIME - the signs of SEPSIS. In fact, during the Severe Sepsis Screening, male RN SG, documented YES on the heart rate, which was 128 on admission, & 127 on discharge. DO NOT GO TO THE ER at JFK MAIN. Some pee in a cup. Just a simple CBC. These tests were never done & would've shown that this man had sepsis. Instead, he was discharged. By the head of the ER. After only an hour being home, the man was taken by his family to their local hospital where immediately a sepsis alert was called. An E coli infection from the urinary system... He was admitted & started immediately on IV antibiotics. Remained in the hospital, where they also discovered a mass on the patient's bladder. Cancer. A complaint against Dr. S was filed with the FL DOH. But HCA has a lot of money & great lawyers. Nothing is on record about the complete oversight by Dr. S. He gets to practice emergency medicine forever. This hospital was once known to be the best cardiac hospital in PBC. Since HCA took over, it is not #1 anymore. Even their top cardiothoracic surgeon got the heck out of there. AVOID. AVOID. AVOID.

Even though we were going over nightly, the caregiver stress started to get to him. I called FIRST at Home. I was able to set up a home companion to help for the times my husband and I weren't able to be there for them. They did an awesome job. It allowed my dad some time to himself and hands on care for her. They tidy up the house, errands, laundry and cooking. It helped everyone's stress during this difficult time. Although she has passed, if anyone needs caregiver help I would def recommend them. Thank you FIRST at Home for your services and wonderful staff during this challenging time.
