I was debating if I wanted to leave a review or not and here we are. This will be an HONEST review…read moreand take it how you'd like.
I am a former employee and I will say most of these reviews are paid by Google and some are staff members that were pressured by higher up to leave them so they have a high rating. That's the start.
The center on a whole:
When it comes to the clinical staff, they are amazing at what they do. The therapists, Amanda & Brandon are fairly new but they are good and professional, Michael is hands on and good at what he does, Barry is amazing, very caring and he loves what he does. Deana, who we referred to as MVP, is just that, Most Valuable Player. She is hands on, takes her job very seriously, she is overworked but shows up to handle things as Program Director & Primary Therapist daily. These 5 therapists makes treatment worth it. They care for patients as if they were one of their own family members. The medical team, Nurse Tricia, Dr Dolin and Seely are a powerhouse team. Your family members are not just another number to them. The group facilitators, Chris H, Jackson, Will G and Kailie, they are well loved by the patients. They get the job done. The physical therapist Eric and life coach Alex, are amazing as well. Nothing but positive feedback from patients. The tech staff are the backbone of the company, if weren't for them and their hardworking and dedication, this place could not run. Tee is a great Supervisor , his lead techs and tech staff go above and beyond and don't get enough credit for all that they do. So tell your family members or if you are the patient, be a little nicer...Ben Brafman!! He is Chief Clinical Director and your family member is in great hands. Ben has been in this business for a very long time, he is very knowledgeable. He's very caring, sympathetic and wants the very best for each client that walks thru the doors of Sylvia Brafman. He has helped change the lives and shape individuals to be the very best version of themselves. He is very hands on and very involved in treatment and recovery of each client. He goes above and beyond to make sure that things are ran smoothly and effectively. If I ever needed to go into treatment, I'd definitely would want to be at SB with this amazing team.
Now my review as an employee:
I was with the company 5 months shy of 2 yrs. I started out as HR/Front desk and ended as Case Manager. I was overworked, underpaid and belittled by the Co CEO Jaime on a regular. But because I loved my job and loved helping people, I stayed longer than I should have. Once I got promoted my pay rate stayed the same and never got changed but he kept adding more and more tasks to my job even if it didn't fall under my job title. But any non African American person that works for the company got compensated very well. He is impossible to work with and if you are not white, he will make you feel less than. Those who knew me, knows I went above and beyond for this job and knows the treatment I endured here. I have seen him break down an employee to where she was in tears and almost relapsed after being in recovery for 20 plus years. He loves to throw around "I'm the CEO" title and loves to throw "I sign your paycheck" around too. He is a very disgusting person and his mother should be ashamed of the person she created and raised..
So in other words, if you're looking to have your loved one or even yourself come for treatment, this is a wonderful place to be. If you are looking for employment and you are a minority, think twice, if you are Caucasian or even Jewish, you are safe here with Jaime.
And I know he will come right behind this review and try to counteract as he does every negative one on here but please be aware that I have messages/emails that dates back 2022 and I have no issues making them go viral, especially the ones sent to Ms Ingram & Ms Robinson. Play with fire and you will get burned.
