I'm a first grade teacher and worked closely with Stephanie. She did an outstanding job with a Language impaired student in my class. She was so sweet and caring to everyone. One of my students she worked with opened up and began communicating so much with the other students and adults. I even saw great improvements in his writings. I was so thrilled with his progress, as was his mom. Another student that she worked with was speech impaired. This student made remarkable progress. At the beginning of the year, I could not understand anything this student was saying. The student became very frustrated. Stephanie worked with her with great patience and it was so amazing to see the growth this student made. I could clearly understand her the first time she told me something! Stephanie worked with my son from age 18 months to 3 years old. He didn't speak clearly at all and had a hard time controlling his tongue. Within the first session she already had him speaking new words clearer and helping him properly say the words. By the end of her sessions my son was a completely different child, he was able to speak clearly and verbalize his wants and needs. She has made every session entertaining and educational. I met Stephanie through a mutual friend and when I found out what she did I discussed some concerns with her that I had about my daughter. She gives you great advice and isn't quick to diagnose with a "problem", instead she lets you know what is normal for children to go through at their age and signs to look for. She is very caring and passionate about her work. My daughter is very comfortable around her and Stephanie has a gift of getting her to open up. While I wish I were closer, she has offered Skype sessions in her free time. I would definitely recommend her! read more

Stephanie did wonders for our speech impaired 2 yr old. She was always polite, on time and extremely patient with him. We started noticing results with him immediately, especially as he gained some confidence speaking; it wasn't long at all before he started speaking without being prompted, which was something he never did before Stephanie started working with him. I have had the pleasure of working with Stephanie Borton in a school setting. She worked with a student of mine who was extremely challenging and had anger issues.
