After over a dozen surgeries and numerous various PT facilities across 6 states, I have a wide range of experience with the PT/Rehab process post surgery. I have been blown away by the quality of care, the overall knowledge of Dominic and the Vado team. The facility is great and they have all the necessary equipment. Christy has been one of, if not the best PT's that I have worked with. Dominic and Vado also have their own Dominator device designed specifically for post-shoulder PT acceleration and it has been amazing. I was able to use the Dominator at home and their facility and can easily say its been the fastest recovery even though this surgery was one of my most comprehensive. I met with Dr Dom at his clinic immediately following my Rotator cuff /bicep tear surgery on Jan 21. Dr. Dom took my height, arm measurements and after instructions on how to use , sent me home to with the Dominator SR3 machine in the trunk. I used every day during the 6 weeks while my arm was in the pillow sling getting tele therapy weekly from Dom. After 6 weeks I started PT and my therapist was amazed at my progress. I told her I had been using a machine my son recommended from Vado Therapy clinic in Del Ray. After meeting with my surgeon last week he told me he was very pleased with my progress, my repairs were significant with me being 69 years old. I am working on building muscle, stretching and look forward to golf again. I'm sleeping on my right side now which i have not been able to do for over a year. On December 6th, 2016, I (at 72 years old) had a complete shoulder replacement performed in Jupiter. The surgeon did a wonderful job. The hospital was terrific. But I credit the ease of my recovery, and the amazing regained use (pain free!) of my left shoulder to the folks who took care of me at Vado. Dom and his colleagues are simply the best. Their encouragement and support made it possible for me to do what I had to do, and the complete understanding that they brought to the stages of my recovery was remarkable. So much of post-operative care depends on a quality of trust growing between the patient and the p.t. caregivers. I have stenosis with compressed disc and pinched nerve syndrome. I have been thru different types of surgeries and followed up with self induced therapy through local gyms. It worked up to a certain point then hit a brick wall. I was referred to Vado therapy through a local physician who suggested I try their services. What a blessing. After a few days I started to realize what a mistake I made by not coming here sooner. My therapist (Jeff) analyzed my situation, came up with a game plan and tried every option till we found out what was working the best. After several weeks, I was able to get up in the morning with improved mobility, more comfort and better muscle control. Pain has diminished tremendously. I was referred to Vado by my orthopedic surgeon from Fort Lauderdale after knee and complex shoulder surgery. Imagine that...all the therapy places in Ft Lauderdale and he only felt comfortable having Domenic and his physical therapy team work with me. I had been to therapy in the past through a hospital service and there is just no comparison to the focused therapy Vado performs. Within a few weeks my pain had lessened and mobility increased. I couldn't have imagined being able to recover as much as I have and as quickly as I have. I've been instructed on the anatomical functioning of my shoulder in particular and exercises and stretching I need to do to maintain mobility. With that referal I scheduled multiple appointments with Dominic at Vado Therapy. I have now been there for two weeks of therapy an couldn't have made a better choice. Dominic and Harry are highly qualified, articulate, and talented therapists. As a retired hockey player I have been around a lot of therapy and Dominic is outstanding as well as Harry. I'm so grateful for their attention to my specific needs and wellness. I am incredibly impressed with my care there and would highly recommend Vado to anyone needing physical therapy. I have tried physical therapy after many injuries... New York, New Jersey, Atlanta and several in South Florida. I became a skeptic of PT as my experiences were so disappointing. Either it was a "factory" or an insurance "scam," or just plain old "waste of time". Finally, on a recommendation from a friend, I found Vadu! I was referred here by a friend after having a back injury that left me hunched and stuck in position. My experience with Dominic and his staff have been supportive & beneficial during pre-op & post op therapy. Before my hip replacement, in order to strengthen muscles that had atrophied due to a severe limp and also to restore some flexibility. Dominic and his wonderful device brought my total shoulder replacement from helpless to hopeful to now mastering tasks they weren't sure the new shoulder would do.
