Best taco place this side of the border. Well in SoMa for sure. I have been going here since at least 2019 and this place is amazing. From the breakfast burrito, to the quesadillas, the tacos, the wide arrange of burrito options and the offering of proteins is absolutely amazing. Also the Agua Fresca is always a crowd pleaser. I have been get the fish tacos which are lightly grilled tilapia. I have had it twice now and it is nothing short of amazing! They offer a variety of salsas and offer jalapeños on request. They offer chips with every meal even with there incredible nachos. They have black beans as well as my favorite refried beans! Don't walk drum to this place at lunch hour cause all the locals can crowd it. It's worth the trip at this anal albeit clean and fast paced taqueria and can compete with the best that San Francisco has on offer!

I've come here a couple of times during lunch to grab tacos or a quesadilla. Service is quick and food is good. There is space to sit inside. Chips and salsa included with your order. If driving parking could be tricky; I usually walk here during lunch and usually only a short wait if any.

They were quick. As soon as you pay, a few min your order is ready. Great team work. Only 3 staff. It was so hot standing outside in the SF Fleetweek heatwave. Can you imagine those in fighter planes? Back to my grilled chicken regular burrito. So tasty, lots of meat, and the still warm chips (complimentary, thank you). I only ate half and ate up all the chips. Their green sauce is not really spicy at all. Need two of them. Super burrito had a lot more ingredients. Next time. Maybe its me, i've become de-sensitized with the surroundings. Not good. Girl got to eat. Businesses need us. If you walk southeast side of Mission between 8th and 9th st, the urban alchemy protects that side. You see their safety vest or walkie-talkie.

Street bowl with shrimp. It already includes guac in the price.

This place has gone from being a curiosity to my daily go-to for lunch in the neighborhood. If you haven't had a street bowl before, and you're a person who likes fried stuff, you absolutely must try it. It's a crispy savory shell with whatever else you typically have in a Mexican bowl in it. My regular order is a street bowl with shrimp black beans, spicy. It's not crazy spicy just regular spicy. And they cook the shrimp up fresh right when you order it. Yum. While most people who come here seem to just get takeout, there are a handful of tables and bar seats if you want to maximize the freshness of your experience. There's a total of maybe ten seats and usually only a couple are taken. While you're there, request extra free green salsa and non-free Mexican Coke with real sugar in a glass bottle.

Finally tried this location. I had been getting mixed reviews from coworkers so I wanted to review it for myself. Although there are some loiterers around, they did not bother myself or anyone. The location id sorrounded by apartment's and offices, so people will visit for lunch. The inside is a bit small, which I am complete okay with. The staff was very friendly and gave some recommendations. I talked to them in Spanish so not sure how their English is. I got a Veggie Burrito. I must have had low expectations because I was real impressed with my first bite. The veggies were grilled nicely and the burrito was a descent size. That said, when I finished I did feel like I have eaten better Veggie burritos elsewhere. In the end I still give it 4/5.

I'm not really a taco connoisseur. Are you surprised? I didn't think so. Well, I've seen this operation for a while, and I've noticed the one in the Haight as well. So it's a chain kinda. Anyway, I thought I could give it a try after a trip to the gym. It's a tiny spot with a whirl of unsavory activity right outside on the sidewalk probably to the manager's chagrin. It's fine once you enter though, and I decided to order the $8.50 Grilled Chicken Tacos with onions and salsa (photo: http://bit.ly/2vkeVPi). They were good, just kinda small as you get two for the price. More like bar bite size though truthfully I filled up on the complimentary chips anyway. I was lucky to snag a seat in here. FOOD - 3 stars...good, just a bit small for the price AMBIANCE - 3 stars...a tiny space SERVICE - 4 stars...manager was quite attentive TOTAL - 3 stars...if you want a taco real bad RELATED - In the mood for Mexican? 1 al pastor and 1 pollo taco, chips, and red and green salsa.

At first, I thought about maybe getting a burrito, but it's called Street Taco, so guess what I had to get? Then I had to figure what proteins I wanted - which understandably may sound trivial but when you are limited to two choices, it really is of paramount importance to select the right ones. My first choice was pollo since it looked like it had been freshly cooked. Solid. And for my second choice, I asked the cashier. Without hesitation, she said, Al Pastor. Either a) she really believed in the pastor or b) they were just pushing the pastor. Fortunately, it was the former and pastor was tasty, tender, and helped to make for one good taco. Tacos are made with fresh made tortillas and topped with onions, cilantro and salsa. Excellent. My one qualm was that there was no way one tortilla could ever hold the amount of generous proteins they piled on each taco - and I was right. But I found a fork and was able to finish my meal. Chips were a nice surprise - thicker tortilla chip that was crisp and light and so good with red salsa. Overall, the tacos at Street Taco are a must try. I never really appreciated the tortilla part of the taco until I had their freshly handmade ones. Good food. Not too sketch neighborhood. Worth a visit.

Recently went to Street Taco for lunch and overall it was good experience. I ordered a carne asada burrito and it was good. Unfortunately, there was a premium charge on protein due to increased cost. I haven't seen other Mexican restaurants do this, so I was a little thrown off by that. All burritos come with chips, guacamole, and salsa in the bag. If you're in the mood for Mexican and want a quick option, this is definitely a good place for that.

When in a new place with a limited time to eat lunch, it's best to ask a new friend. Street Taco ended up being a great place for Mexican food without the wait or a far walk. Street Taco is around the corner for the Twitter building in downtown San Francisco. The store is very clean and small; they prefer credit cards. Service is made-to-order but very fast, which helps turnover on the limited seating. They have free water at the back. The one big draw is the fresh salsa bar; you can have as many varieties and quantity as you'd like. I had the full size burrito, which was jam packed with good quality steak and fresh vegetables. Prices were around $10. All meals include tortillas on the side, which is a nice addition.

Definitely street taco taste! I'm Latina so we hold Mexican food to a high standard. The tacos were super good. Quick service, we sat outside with our dog and ate very comfortably late in the afternoon.

I'll spare y'all the details but several hours after eating tacos from here, I had to make a beeline to the restroom while squeezing the hell outta my ( | ) to make sure I didn't leave a trail. Told ya, those granny panties came in handy! Nothing serious but something definitely didn't agree with my tummy. Street Taco, putting the "street" in tacos but at gentrification prices. =/ OTHER NOTES: *Second location to their Haight street one: http://bit.ly/2oOq4P0. *Prices seem to be higher here (based on online menu). Two street tacos (shrimp & al pastor): $8 + $1 shrimp surcharge +$1.75 avocado = $10.75. *Generous amount of protein for tacos. *Shrimp was dry and bland. Al pastor (shaved off the spit) was nicely seasoned but chewy and gristly. *Complimentary chips upon request. *No salsa bar. *No offal (lengua, cabeza, buche, tripas, etc). *Limited seating: 2 two tops and counter seating. No ADA accessible seating. *No water dispenser.

The Taqueria is typical of any other, with bench-style chairs for folks to sit on, a water station, and workers cooking it up in the kitchen. I wasn't too hungry, so I grabbed a Super Lengua Taco, while my friends grabbed burritos, we ended up grabbing 3 complimentary chips and guac/salsa with our order and the food came out pretty quickly. When I saw my Taco I forgot how much they stuffed it and wow, two of these would've filled me up just like a taco; there was so much Lengua that it kept falling off after every bite. The flavors all came together and I scruffed down the whole thing after about 6+ bites! Definitely a place to come to if you're looking for a full meal, or something to snack on!
