Street Hawker Turbo replaced Potluck Hawker Eatery. Still owned by the same people, it is a sibling eatery to the Street Hawker already on Main Street. The menu's are similar, but not identical, as this location has more focus on chicken burgers and chicken wings. As you step in, the first thing that immediately struck me was the bright blue and purple neon - reminiscent of the color scheme of the old Street Fighter arcade systems. It's very casual, clearly set up for quick eats. I ended up trying the following for take-out: - Street Hawker: Very good. Classic, well-made smash burger. Despite taking it home to eat, it didn't look slapped together, which is pretty impressive. - Aloha Attack: Good. Sounded good on paper, and tasted good, but adding the spam made it a bit too meaty. I preferred the Street Hawker. Also very presentable once we got home. - Filet-O-Sally: Very good. This was the biggest surprise. I wasn't sure what to expect, but this was a really good burger. Fish was substantial size, but not too heavy. Bulldog sauce great flavour. Really nicely balanced. - Fish Sauce Wings: Very good. Carryover from the Potluck Hawker Eatery, this was one of the reasons I liked Potluck, so I'm glad they kept the wings here at Street Hawker Turbo. - Pepper Salt Cauliflower: OK. The least impressive thing we ordered. I couldn't distinguish this from what I could buy frozen. Certainly edible, but not particularly enjoyable. - Fries: Good. It's the seasoning that make them good, because they would otherwise be average. Food is ordered at the counter, so service is minimal. Employee was nice enough, and food took about 8-10 min to prepare. Overall, I was satisfied. Smashburger, salmon burger and wings are the highlight, and worth going back for.

We tried the Double Smash Burger (incredible caramelized edges and melt-in-your-mouth cheddar), the Curry Chicken Bap (a sweet and spicy dream with McDonnell's curry sauce), and their crispy, seasoned Shaking Gems--which are honestly addictive. We also loved that they use fresh, local ingredients and offer options for vegan, gluten-free, and Halal diets. The staff was friendly, the vibe was fun, and everything tasted fresh and made with care. Great for a night out, post-party cravings, or any time you're hungry for something real. Bonus: It's inside Donnellan's Irish Pub so you can sip a cold one while smashing a burger. I ordered the mushroom smash and upgraded to tater tots, and you get a choice of "flavour" for tater tots - I chose all dressed. The all-dressed flavour did not really come out very much so i just dipped it in the provided ketchup. When it first came out, there was a mixup in my order and it came out with plain fries - they were quick to fix their error and there was a generous portion of tater tots for the $6 upgrade fee. I'm not usually a fan of smash burgers but I have to say this one was cheesy and flavourful and I would get it again!

While in Vancouver for a weekend getaway, the concierge at our hotel recommended coming to Hundy…read more He recommended it for its tasty burger, but also because it is the storefront for a speakeasy. After going to a local sporting event and looking for a late night bite to eat, we decided to come give them a try. The interior is quite minimalist, and the menu is simple. My husband wanted to try their bacon cheeseburger while I ordered a classic cheeseburger. We ordered one set of classic french fries and one set of poutine fries. While they were preparing our food, we made our way down the long hallway to the back where the speakeasy was located. We just wanted to peek our heads in, but didn't stay for a drink. The cool thing about Hundy is that the speakeasy will serve their food while apparently also serving up some tasty cocktails. But back to Hundy and the food. The cheeseburger was absolutely delicious and the french fries were cooked to crispy golden perfection. As for the poutine, it was some of the best that we had on our trip. So speakeasy aside, if you're looking for a good burger in Vancouver, I would definitely come check out Hundy.

There is a speakeasy called The Stock Room in the back of Hundy where one can enjoy cocktails and burgers together. We sat at the bar at Stock Room and in addition to our drink orders, we ordered a couple of burgers and fries. Both the burger and fries were delicious. The meat was juicy and flavorful. The fries were hot and crispy. This is definitely a return for us the next time we visit Vancouver.

There's a full bar service with a bar tender, and a couple waitresses. We sat down with no wait time, and the server brought the menu right away. We each ordered a truffle mushroom blaze burger, with some sides of onion rings and yam fries. We also shared a crispy chicken poutine which was delicious. The crispy chicken was a little over fried, but the poutine and cheese made up for it. The truffle mushroom burger was very yummy with big portions. They are also flexible to customize the orders, with extra toppings, and switch it up for kids menu. Our waitress was also very patient with us and took down all of our customizations, and got them right. If you are looking for a nice local burger place with friendly staff, this is the place to be!

Their space is not too big but it is perfect for date night. In fact, most people there were on dates. The aesthetics of their space is designed for date nights. I got their diablo picante beef burger which had lettucem avacado, jalapeno, pico de gayo, chipotle mayom sour cream, AND TORTILLA CHIPS inside the burger! I was so excited to try this mexican style gourmet burger. I will say it definitely lived up to the hype and I will say do not get this if you don't like spice because it was spicy. My partner got their blaze poutine which was not bad, but nothing great at the same time. They had a special bali coffee which they recommended so we got that but I would give it a 3/5 for that. Overall not bad!

Walking into a rustic and cozy eatery while a friendly smile from a far welcomes us with every step handing us a menu and seating us in the cutest little booth right by the window overlooking charming Burrard street. I fell in love with the menu right away because it has all my favourite comfort foods. Take a look at the menu....you'll see.... We got the Soup & Salad combo (Mushroom Medley and FAB salad). .........The soup was everything a Mushroom Medley should be. Perfect proportions, spectacular seasoning and spot on temperature. (Yes, I've been served luke-warm soup before. It was not pretty.) The FAB salad. It was well....Fab. Every single ingredient was fresh. Every single one, and topped with red onion. Not adding red onion into a salad is like.....not adding basil to your pasta sauce. They got every detail covered. The Sandwich & Salad (Tasty Chicken Sandwich with FAB salad.) ...........The Chicken Sandwich was the best I've ever had. Just try it. You'll see. The FAB salad....well...we already covered that cutie. The service was warm, friendly, attentive and professional. With this place, aside from their kickass food, what really impressed me was their attention and care to detail. To the point where, when I asked for ice water....the glass was spotless, the water filled not too full and not lacking topped with a Fresh Cut Lemon Wedge. Obviously you have the tasty food, Quality service, and Clean Establishment that render a restaurant as great, but in my book, it's the little things that hoist it up to Excellent. And that is exactly what this place was. Excellent.
