Stopped by this wonderful find on our way out of Oklahoma!! The atmosphere is so unique and fun. Plenty of space to enjoy lunch and a great cup of coffee. The cardamom and turmeric latte was outstanding!!! The "it's not easy being cheese" was a huge hit. The soul of Day was creamy potato and it hit the spot and was very filling. The service was fantastic!! If you are passing through this area of the state I would say this is a must stop. read more

While traveling from MO to AZ, we decided to try something besides chain restaurants for lunch. Strayhouse Kitchen was a perfect spot. It was easily accessible off and then back onto I-40. The sandwiches were tasty and filling. My sister and I tried different sandwiches and we were both happy with our choices. We will return again. read more

Stopped by on our way east for a welcome coffee break, persuaded by another Yelp review to check out Stray House Coffee and Bakery. We were not disappointed! The space is really welcoming, a warehouse - post industrial, lofty and spacious. I asked my usual question about whether they could make a flat white and got a positive answer. Yay! So one flat white and a latte for my fella ordered we had a little look around. They've only been open 10 weeks and so it's early days, but if the coffee is a gauge to measure by then they are slated for success. Best flat white I've had anywhere in the USA. Fella was very happy with his latte. We'll definitely stop for lunch when we're heading west again to enjoy Stray House Coffee and Bakery menu and hospitality. It's super easy to find off the I40 as well, which should appeal to bi coastal travelers like us. Don't miss this one. Good luck Stray House Coffee and Bakery! read more

Amazing atmosphere, "my sandwich had some good soul in it", and super friendly staff. It's so cool to see a beautifully repurposed building come back to life. Not far off the highway and great to get some nourishing food! My favorite coffee house! Staff is courteous and always helpful. Coffee is high quality and they always make my Latte exactly how I want it!

I usually patronize the big-name coffee shops. After going to Strayhouse I now realize that I've never had a properly made latte. Strayhouse barista Caden M. made a large hot latte for me. It was fantastic. The appearance, consistency and taste were excellent. Much better than the "latte" beverages made by the big-name coffee shops. It was a true pro-made latte. I also had a slice of quiche pie which was excellent. When you're nearby Clinton you owe it to yourself to visit Strayhouse. read more

Loved it! Visiting family for the day and checked this place out. We will definitely return! * update-something has definitely changed here. We stop here in route to OKC for coffees and a cookie every few weeks. The coffee use to be great and fast and bakery items available. The last few stops found them ready to shut down hours before close with it dark and uninviting. Also all the bakery items pulled and them cleaning up for closing. Dirty tables and dirty floor. They might as well close at 2 because they're not doing themselves any favors from 2-4. read more

Yay! This is such a wonderful gem, with amazing service, food, and local-roasted coffee....real utensils, recycled building materials for the tables great atmosphere, local-made gifts. Excellent soups and sandwiches. The chicken tortellini and tortilla soups are particularly good. They also have a seasonally rotating menu, occasional specials (the mushroom burger with bleu cheese crumbles and truffle oil was amazing) and a good selection of craft beers and wines, not to mention cakes, pies, and other fresh baked goods. Super great coffee but it was in a carafe so not super hot...beautiful place... lemon bread was yummy but small for the price...wanted to order breakfast but had an 8 min wait and I had to get to work so maybe next time! I'll be back... maybe even on my way back through today! read more

Great spot for a light lunch! I had the pimento cheese sandwich, and it was delicious. The cafe is also quite charming!

When they turn the music down even 10%, I will give this wonderful place 5 stars! Becasue except for that one flaw, it is the greatest coffee shop for a long way around. They take great care in everything they make and do except the volume of the music which makes guests talk too loud and the whole atmosphere then is loud. But otherwise, the place is brilliantly done and if you're passing on I-40, its worth the drive through downtown Clinton just to stop here for coffee or tea or snack. No kidding. We are on an I-40 road trip. I was looking for a lunch place where we could bring our dog. I called ahead and they said he was welcome inside or outside. The space is large and rustic with exposed beams in the ceiling. We have a toddler and were delighted to find that they have high chairs, a changing table, and a kids' menu. I had the Plum-Berry salad, my husband had The Gent, and our daughter had The Peeb Jay. I asked for fruit as her side and it came with blueberries and ripe plum slices. My husband loved his sandwich, and my salad was a delightful combination of flavors including bacon, blue cheese, pickled onions, blueberries, plum, spring greens, almonds, and a blueberry balsamic vinaigrette. After so much fast food on the road, it was refreshing to have a fresh meal. In addition to soups and sandwiches, they have a selection of espresso drinks, beers, and baked goods. I had the turmeric and cardamom latte, which was very densely saturated with both. I like both spices, but it was a bit too potent for my taste. I added some stevia which improved the flavor for me. We also tried a butter cookie and a chocolate chip cookie, which were yummy. I would highly recommend Strayhouse and wish we could go back! read more
