    My Carmel blended drink!!

Whoever owns this place, you better give Jennifer a raise! What a sweet, helpful young lady! We were driving from Arizona to Missouri and were looking for a place for a simple sandwich and low and behold, thanks to Yelp, we came across Strayhouse Kitchen! The sandwich we had, called the Hawaiian, was absolutely fabulous! I also ordered a blended drink, which was one of the best I've ever had, and believe me, I've had a lot! I also ordered a banana nut muffin to go, which was like my mom made it! Believe me when I say this, if you are ever in Clinton, Oklahoma, you better look this place up!!

What a cute place off I-40! Much better than the fast food chains. Pet-friendly too. Food was good, ABLT needed more bacon. Turkey croissant again was good, but the Chipotle mayo needed a bit more kick to it. Sweet tea and Iced Chai hit the spot

    Pick two

Looking for a quick healthy lunch and we ended up in Strayhouse Kitchen. So glad we did. I chose the pick 2 and included half A-BLT (Avocado on a BLT sandwich) and a cup of broccoli chowder soup. Everything was great. Veggies fresh. Soup very tasty with a bit of melted cheddar cheese. Pick two also came with a bag of chips (several varieties). Husband had the Cobb salad (also came with chips) and a glass of lemonade. OMG the lemonade was fabulous. Fresh squeezed. Served in a mason jar with lemon wedge on the side. The presentation of the food was fabulous. It added to the great taste. I also liked the vibe of the restaurant. Kind of farm chic. Plants abound. Open rafter ceiling. White twinkle lights. Great stop.

Excellent coffee and good food in nice relaxed atmosphere. This is a coffee lovers dream, fresh roasted Nicaraguan and Ethiopian beans well prepared. . Breakfast sandwich tomato, egg, thick sliced ham and cheese was as good as homemade. Chipotle mayo was perfect lather for this hunger crushing sandwich. Stopped in driving from OKC to Amarillo based on their I-40 billboard,. Did quick check on Yelp and the community said they love it. Right on Yelp community supporting small business. I wish this was near my house.

Route 66 never had it so good! The coffee here is to die for. Roasted to perfection and brewed up right. If you're a coffee nerd like me this is a must visit locale. Friendly and attentive staff. Ordered the breakfast croissant with a cup of Ethiopian and it was a home-run. Has a cool casual vibe to the place with comfortable seating and plenty to look at.

    Fun atmosphere.

Amazing atmosphere and delicious breakfast sandwiches, bowls. Delicious gluten free bread too. Great service and fun all around. They squeeze the lemonade for each drink too.

Super cute coffee shop off of Route 66 ish. Tucked right next to what I'd call historic downtown Clinton it's worth a stop. Super cute inside with a great story to go with it. Really appreciate places like this revitalizing old buildings. Place does have a drive-thru as well if you are in a hurry. But if you aren't you should just go in and enjoy the ambiance.

Great atmosphere, decent cortado, really good food and pastries! Would definitely recommend this place, very friendly service too.

Found this on Yelp as we were looking for a breakfast (besides the chain store breakfast ) This place looks iffy outside, but it's a made over lumber store! Inside is very nice although super casual. Tables made out of the leftover lumber. The menu is not extensive, but good choices. I got an egg, cheese and bacon panini and it was fairly large. Hot chocolate was pretty good. I'm waiting to get a pumpkin bread-we'll see how that is. It looked good! Traffic was constant, so it seems it has good business. I'd say it's worth driving a couple of minutes off I40 if you're looking for a good brunch. Take exit for highway 183 I forget the exit number.

    Yummy food!

This place was really neat especially for the town. Atmosphere was welcoming, staff was friendly, coffee was sooooo good and so was good. If you're in town and looking for coffee and/or food definitely go here!

From the outside, the branding leans heavily into the Route 66 identity--logos are everywhere, setting the expectation for a nostalgic roadside dining experience. Stepping inside, however, the atmosphere takes a different direction. Rather than embracing classic Americana, the décor feels modern, highlighted by whimsical cow artwork adorned with flower crowns. It's charming in its own way, but not the vintage Route 66 ambiance I was expecting. One thing that deserves high praise is the cleanliness. The café is immaculate, from the dining room to the overall presentation, reflecting a team that clearly takes pride in maintaining the restaurant. The food, unfortunately, was less memorable. The oatmeal was overly thick and dry, lacking the creamy comfort you'd expect. Buttered toast carried an off flavor, suggesting the griddle or butter station could use a refresh. The signature pancake, dusted with a powdered sugar "66" logo, was visually appealing and easily the meal's most Instagram-worthy item, but it too was disappointingly dense. Where Cafe 66 truly shines is its service. Every staff member I encountered was warm, welcoming, and eager to help first-time visitors feel at home. Their hospitality left the strongest impression of the visit. In my opinion, Cafe 66 seems to be transitioning away from being a destination built on Route 66 nostalgia and toward becoming a dependable neighborhood café for the Clinton community. There's nothing wrong with that--in fact, it's probably the more sustainable business model. But travelers seeking an authentic trip back in time may leave feeling that the iconic branding promises more nostalgia than the dining experience ultimately delivers.
