Nine years ago my husband and I purchased our wedding cake and grooms cake here. They were delicious and very beautiful. I was excited to know that such quality existed locally. I recommended Cher-Den's to my son & future daughter-in-law for their wedding cakes. The only good thing I can say is that the flavor and texture of the cakes were good. The decorations & artwork on the cakes were horrific! The brides cake started collapsing on itself due to not being properly downed when delivered. Each tier was to be a layer or strawberry & a layer of white. The tiers alternated instead. The piping on the brides cake was done with too large of a tip and looked blotchy in several places. When it was delivered and stacked the lady didn't add the decorative border of icing where the tiers met. You could see big gaps. The grooms cake was to have a Canadian Goose in flight on it. They were assured the decorator could draw the picture in icing and it would look as good as an edible image. Huh! What a joke! The bird on the cake looked like a pigeon instead of a Canadian Goose! When they were contacted the Monday following the wedding they agreed to refund 50% of what was paid. It took 7 weeks to get the money from them and I don't know how many times we stopped in the store while out & about & called the store to check in with them. I have no doubt they were hoping if they drug it out long enough we'd just let it go & forget about it. You can bet we won't use them again & will not be recommending them in the future! read more
