The bandeja paisa and the tamal were delicious and tasted like real Colombian home cooking. Today we also spoke with Ergan, who was super friendly and clearly very passionate about the food. Definitely the best Colombian food we've had in this part of the country.

So first they tried to sit us at a round booth with a rectangle table that didn't fit so that was poor planning. We asked for a different table and they obliged, no biggie. The oldest young man told us we could scan the QR code for the menu and then left. The menu site had big ads that made it hard to be visible sometimes but we worked through it. He immediately came back and started asking if we knew what we wanted. He didn't even offer drinks, we had to ask and tell him we were figuring it out. We ordered appetizers and food eventually. The empanadas came out, the description said there was meat in them, I saw none. He asked us if we wanted plates, we said yes please and silverware. He brought plates, my husband had to get up and get silverware. Then almost immediately our food came so the timing was poor. The food came out a little at a time. Like our sides and then our mains with some space in between. As they left from the first round of drop off, one of the boys farted really loud right next to our table and just walked off. No excuse me. No I'm sorry. The food was fine and okay, the experience with the wait staff made it just not enjoyable. Also, the carne asada doesn't seem to be actually carne asada so it felt like a lot of things were not as promised. We watched them lock the door a half hour early so be aware they don't honor their posted hours.

Great food. Usually a good place for a meal. But…read more.. Was very very loud last time we went. Like a nightclub. It's usually quite to normal volume Mexican music like any normal Mexican restaurant but last time was like someone multiplied the noise level by a factor of 10 or more. But we had a very loud noisy experience our last time that really ruined the last experience... And when we politely asked if they could lower the music the lady couldn't speak English so we just had to sit there and take it, essentially eating in silence bc it was so loud we couldn't hear anyone even right next to us. This was on their 10 or 25 anniversary or something but really ruined our meal & make us wonder why they would celebrate by ruining all their customers meals that day. Management should rethink stuff like that. I guess it might be fun for the employees to blast music as loud as a nightclub and dance instead of doing their jobs but it's not very fun for the customers who can't get much service and can't talk to each other while they're eating. This whole experience made the people I was with never want to go there again, even though I tried to say that this was probably a one time thing and that the food is really good, but yeah, my friends & family will sadly not be back. Plus I would think they would at least hire staff that can at least speak basic English. I can understand not knowing big works but not knowing basic English like: 1st attempt by my shy friend: "ma'am can you please turn down the volume a little bit? Bc we can't hear anyone at our table at it's giving my mom a headache." 2nd attempt by me: "IT'S TOO LOUD!" But no... the Lady responded both times with a "my hair pretty? Thanks" I was truly mind blown. Truly a horrible experience to spend money on. We can't afford to go eat often so it sucks when we end up wasting our money on a wasted experience like this when we could've had a better experience at home for less. Truly a letdown.

Drinks we started with Inca Kola (lemonade) and Maracuya (Mango Juice). These were a great starter, not tarts but not overly sweet. As an appetizer we got Patacones con ceviche de camaron. These are fried plantains like chips, topped with shrimp and an amazing sauce that will make your mother water. It's served warm and best to be picked up and eaten. This will get you ready for your entree. For a fish entree we had Ceviche de pescado. This is a dish with fish and corn in lemon juice and hot peppers. It's served cold on a bed of lettuce with sweet potato slices. It's very easy on the eyes, flavorful, good mix between the fish and red onions. The sweet potatoes gave it a good contracting flavor. Best eaten with the hot peppers and lemon juice. Our final entree was Lomo Saltado. This is a beef dish served over beans and tomatoes with rice, red onions and cilantro sauce. I put a bed of rice down, covered with onion, then beans, then the beef (which had the most amazing tenderness) and topped with the cilantro sauce. The sauce pulls the whole meal together, and all the flavors works amazingly with each other. Finally we finished with Flan Lucuma. Picture traditional flan but instead of a caramel type topping it was covered in a Peruvian fruit juice that gave it some amazing flavor and not an overpowering sweet. We will definitely be back for more. The staff were so sweet and kind. Very helpful and helped us pick out some great choices. You won't be disappointed.

Started with chips and salsa. Chips come fresh and hot, made in-house. Salsa packs real heat with a nice spicy kick and tastes very fresh. I ordered the Puerto Rican beef empanadas; they delivered big flavor. I then ordered the two-taco combo next. The original beef fried taco stands out as fantastic, crispy shell, juicy seasoned beef. The Jamaican jerk chicken taco tastes good but runs a bit dry. Still finished every bite. Combo includes two sides; I added their soup and loved it, rich and excellent. Staff is super friendly and nice. They mentioned they are waiting for a liquor license soon, so drinks expand later. The restaurant is super clean. Worth the short hunt to the back. Go try it next time you shop furniture or just want solid tacos. You will leave full and happy.

The young lady behind the counter was on her first day and she did great. Took a few for my order to go. I was the only one there. Had some nice music playing and big screen TVs all around the place. Only thing tht was a minor issue as there was a touch to much salt in the empanada filling mix. Not bad, just a touch over. The dip trios and home cooked chips were outstanding. It's guacamole, salsa and cheese dips.
