WARNING VERY GRAPHIC!!!!!! Where do I begin? In 2015 when BBL's became a big thing I went to strax rejuvenation. I was 170 pounds and I had a lot of Fat to use. I wanted a super BBL and my hip dips filled in. I got there only to speak to Dr. Dean for two minutes. They took my deposit quickly, three weeks later I got the surgery. When he was drawing on me, I was stressing to him how important my body was to me, that I'm an exotic dancer and model and that I needed a snatched waste and a fuller butt. He did it under local anesthesia, which I believe is the one where you're awake. And let me tell you... I felt everything!!! My eyes were open watching in horror. There was so much fluid in my stomach that he would take breaks every 20 minutes and they would walk me to the bathroom so I could pee and fluids were getting all over the floor (very unsanitary) no one was cleaning it up and it was all over the place and I was so out of it, but I did realize the room was dirty and cold and scary. I woke up to no nurses around me to comfort me when the local anesthesia was wearing offand they charged my card $800 to wear a compressor that I wasn't even aware about to begin with, the nurses put me in an XX small, I couldn't breath for days and we ended having to cut it off my body and it hurt because my skin and the fluids where dried onto it, it felt like I was pealing my own skin off. I didn't see the doctor afterwards and they were rushing my boyfriend at the time to come get me. He was five minutes late and they rolled me outside on a wheelchair to wait for him while the nurses went back inside. They told me to come back in two weeks later (only because I took the initiative to ask, when do I come back in for a follow up? ) to see him and I had scar tissue and fat pockets everywhere. I expressed how terribly I felt and how insecure I felt about my body..He said he couldn't fix it . I think he gave me one lymphatic massage for FREE that did nothing. When I went to see him for my follow up, there was about 30 women in the waiting room and he was really stressed out and he had his hand on the door knob when you were trying to talk to him about anything. I was so sick and tired of my results that the company reached out to me and said that they would do another BBL for $3000 and that Dr. Dean got better over the years and would fix this mess and I would go under general anesthesia this time and be asleep. I woke up in a room with 20+ other women all waking up the same time as me screaming in pain than I heard a Nurse telling them all to shut up. And other women frustrated that they found out they had to pay an additional 800 for a garment that they didn't even know about. I got home. I was in so much pain and I went to look at my results and nothing changed. I don't know what he did to me in there, but I had bruising everywhere and no fat on my butt or my hip dips like he promised me. Like WHAT?! Your word as a surgeon is your bond. We are putting our life & bodies in your hands. Ladies!!! Save your money, go to a doctor that does revision surgery because they're the best. Not because you need revision, but they know not what to do to ruin your body. I'm going to show you a picture of the front of me wear he left scar tissue from being so aggressive and I've lost weight since I saw him so it looks 10% better. Most doctors I see say it will cost 15-20k to fix. I used to be able to wear bikinis but now I can't without people pointing out the gapping holes in the front of my stomach and the fat pockets he didn't lipo out in my sides of my back. It's taken me a long time to muster up the courage and write this review. I'm doing everything I can to save up my money to get my old body back, for the puncture wounds to look normal again, for the donut of Fat he left around my belly button gone, all the fat pockets on my back to be smoothed out. If 3-4k for a bbl plus free 6 areas of lipo is to good to be true.. it is!!! I did a deep dive on Dr Dean and he's not even a board certified surgeon before he did this he did men's hair plugs at Bosley hair extensions. Also the lip injections were bad too, lumpy big and uneven, their injectors are terrible, this was another mistake. I made when I was young in 2015.. This place doesn't care about you. They only care about how many bodies they can get on the table in a day. They don't treat you like family or friends. You want a doctor that would treat your body like he would treat his own, his wife or his daughters. Big red flags!!! I paid for a face/neck lift and an upper blepharoplasty. There is no lifting of my face at all. It seems that fat was removed from the lower part of my cheeks, just above my jowls. Yes, although I had a facelift I still have jowls. I asked if the tissues of my cheeks would be repositioned and was assured that they would be. Because I have lost so much volume as part of aging I also asked about a fat transfer, so why volume was removed from my face is beyond me, especially because I am already thin. My face couldn't afford to lose any fat. Thanks Dr. Hamm! Comparing pre surgery and post surgery photos are very telling. My surgeries were incredibly hurried based upon call records between my ride and the surgery center. How fast? It took an hour and a half for a man who graduated Harvard the first time in the 1960s (that isn't found on the CV that's sent to prospective patients) to perform surgeries that take hours to perform according to the online resources I reviewed. A facelift alone takes a minimum of 2 hours, yet I had a face/neck lift and an upper blepharoplasty in 1.5 hours. An upper blepharoplasty alone takes 45 minutes to an hour. My elected surgeries being performed in 1.5 hours doesn't seem possible even for a surgeon in their prime. The online sources I gleaned information from include Harvard which is the school Dr. Hamm attended and many others. I didn't feel that the records of a person who is affiliated with Strax mattered as long as patients received good care. Now, I believe that what I overlooked IS an issue because my surgery was rushed through and my results are horrible. Doing the minimum in hopes of generating a repeat patient won't work with me. Why would anyone trust a person to take surgical instruments to their body once it's discovered that the surgeon isn't trustworthy? Hurrying surgeries in order to perform more surgeries is also bad for patients like myself and many others according to the Broward County Clerk's website. There have been many unhappy patients and I wish I had performed some due diligence. I took the word of others instead. Also, my scars are inconsistent with a "face lift" surgery and that includes a "short incision" face lift. My scars end in front of my ears and do not extend up into my temples at all, not even slightly. My scar at the back of my head on the left extends nearly an inch past my occipital area despite the doctor having seen a picture of how short I usually wear my hair. My short hair days are over thanks to him. Now that there are issues to address nobody will speak with me via email which is my preferred method of communication when dealing with the dishonest and morally bankrupt. Those are my opinions of those I have dealt with at Strax now which include Tammy Pope and Roger Gordon (I wish I had known he was part of that operation because that would have changed my mind). There may be some wonderful people and doctors there. I wouldn't know. Those I have dealt with since I returned home to Colorado have left a lot to be desired. I have asked for Dr. Hamm's email address and those who were once responsive are mutes now. Things will inevitably happen with high volume businesses. In February 2020 I had a  "drainless" mini tummy tuck. That night I began to develop extremely large, liquid filled blisters that had to be drained again and again. I couldn't continue to be treated in office when Covid shutdown everything. I followed the instructions for care to the letter. The results of the mini tummy tuck were otherwise great. Thinking the complication was a fluke, I returned to Strax when I learned of a procedure to improve my breasts appearance without implants. I went in for a consultation with a different doctor, Dr. Dean, who specialized in fat transfers to breasts. I learned that it would require liposuction to achieve the result I sought. I had surgery on August 1, 2023 and was happy with my results. I was instructed to get lymphatic massages fo the best recovery and final result. I purchased a package at the Strax Aesthetics. When it was time to change into a smaller compression garment that I was instructed to wear, the massage therapist insisted that the one the surgical center had sold me wasn't going to be small enough. Trusting her expertise, I let her help me into a small compression garment. By the time I got home, there were open wounds on my back from the rubbing of the garment. I followed instructions and expected them to heal. Instead they became painful hypertrophic scars. After months of recovery and countless more lymphatic massages combined with tools to improve results further and work on the scars on my back (peformed somewhere else), there was still  a stubborn cirlcle of "donut-sized" fat around my navel. It even showed through my clothes. Dr. Dean said that was a very easy fix...that he could go in and remove that fat, under local anesthesia if I liked. He also said we could do a scar revision on my back, if the scar(s) were particularly uncomfortable or bothered me especially. He said only one scar could be done at a time, so I chose the largest most painful one, that impeded natural movement in my torso the most...I could also get the fat around my navel removed at the same time. I got revision surgery in February 2023, After the surgery I went home to recover. That evening, my stomach felt extremely hot. I removed my compression garment to see redness and swelling, that very quickly got worse and worse and developed into countless blisters. I reached out to Dr. Dean and sent him a picture. he said it was lipo burns. They were so painful and unsightly. I was heartboken. Dr. Dean assured me it could be "fixed". Again, I followed his instructions exactly. There was improvement, but I am still horribly scarred and some areas became hypertrophic. I continue to experience pain in the scarred area. In addition, the healthy skin and tissue above and below my navel have been displaced, so I now look quite lumpy from a side view. He suggested more scar revision. Side note: the scar revision is acceptable but definitely not great. I went back to Strax Aesthetics for a consultation with Dr. Schwitzer. He told me he felt confident (almost cockily...which I didn't mind in a plastic surgeon) that he could remove at least 75% of the scarring with a full tummy tuck, but that it would leave the horizontal scar through my navel, as the other plastic surgeon mentioned. I was fine with that. Next, I met with Dr. Dean. He marked me up, and showed me where he wanted to do 2 separate surgeries to remove 2 small sections of the scarring where the hypertrophic scarring is most obvious. it would not would address the displacement of the healthy skin/tissue or the bulk of the dark scarring on my abdomen. I went with the proposed plan from Dr. Schwitzer. 2 DAYS before surgery He told me was no longer confident that he could do my procedure successfully. He was afraid the result might be worse than it already is ...BUT he said that one of the colleagues, with more experience, Dr. Hamm was willing to do the sugery as planned if I wanted to proceed. I could speak to him right then. ABSOLUTELY NOT! I told him if HE was worried I was wayyyy more worried. I am grateful that he told me WHAT he told me, just not WHEN he told me. I am devastated from the pain, stress, rollercoaster of emotions, the inconvenience, personal and financial sacrifices only to to end up worse than I started.
