my daughter has a 2018 accord sport. the turbo went out at 105,000 miles. we took to straub honda for replacement. waited 5 hours while car was fixed. dealership took us to highlands to go shopping. when car was finished they came picked us up. while driving home the turbo went out again. we took car back. the turbo they instaled was bad. they gave us a rental car for free and took car back into shop. two days later they called and said car was fixed. there was no charge for rental and they reimbursed 250 for our troubles. read more

Bought my car here in 2023 and bought the extended warranty. Had a mild suspension issue come up in 2026 and called the salesman who sold it to me, Zach. He helped direct my call to call the service center and explained what was going on. There, Cody, was able to get me in the next day and get my vehicle fixed. Whole process was less than 24 hours and they were able to get me back on the road with complete resolution of the issues all covered on warranty. I've gotta give Straub Honda credit. It takes real confidence to look someone directly in the eyes and offer them HALF of what their car is actually worth. They offered me $4,000 for my vehicle like they found it submerged at the bottom of a lake with three missing tires and a family of possums living in the trunk. Naturally I assumed something catastrophic was wrong with it that I somehow missed. Nope. Another dealer immediately gave me $8,000 without even doing the dramatic "hmmmmm" dealership act where they disappear into the manager's office for 45 minutes to calculate how badly they can insult you. So either Straub Honda's appraisal department is powered entirely by expired gas station sushi, or they genuinely hoped I was dumb enough to celebrate getting robbed in broad daylight. The funniest part was how serious they were. Nobody laughed. No wink. No "gotcha." Just a completely sincere attempt to buy a perfectly good car for the price of a used riding mower. At this point I'm convinced if I traded in a Ferrari there, they'd offer me $11,500 and a complimentary pen. Absolutely incredible experience. 10/10 if your dream is to feel like your car was evaluated by two toddlers and a broken calculator. read more

I accompanied my mom to buy a car here, and Bill was the best salesman we've ever worked with! He made my mom feel completely comfortable and didn't pressure her into making a decision. He stayed late and took extra time to explain everything to her, and we both felt completely comfortable working with him. We've had horrible sales experiences at other dealerships in the past as their salesmen were extremely pushy with my mom (a single, older woman) -- and Bill was an absolute pillar of professionalism. A word of caution. I took my Honda Accord to have a heat shield replaced a number of years ago just 29 days after having major (120,000) service. Upon doing so I received a phone call that my oil was dirty and I needed it changed: a mere 700 miles/29 days after it had be done by Straub. It would seem that 1) either it was not done as promised at 120,000 miles or 2) we have a bit of a racquet here. I don't believe I will use Straub's in the future. Buyer beware. read more

This review is strictly for the service. I went in to do a full steering/wheel alignment in Jan 2019, and now my 2016 Civic Touring pulls to the right, and it's still not fixed. After 1 appt with another dealership (Rohrich Honda in Pittsburgh), their first set of fixes to the car have confirmed my distrust for Straub Honda services. I originally wanted to do a full tire realignment on my car, because we're recommended to do this every year. After the first appointment, the car felt good (handling fine, etc.), except for the fact that I had to tilt my car 35 degrees to the left since the car kept pulling to the right. I came back in Feb 2019 for free, and they said nothing was wrong, but I insisted the problem wasn't fixed. I had Rohrich Honda in Pittsburgh semi-fix the problem, which was due to the rear tire toe/cambre adjustment being loose. So now instead of tilting my steering wheel to the left 35 degrees, I'm now tilting my steering wheel to the left at 15 degrees after the Rohrich Honda appt (problem only happens at high speeds now). That's an improvement but Rohrich acknowledged there was still an issue with the car and will happily take the car back later this year. Even after all this information, Straub won't refund me, despite the fact I asked for a refund multiple times in April-June. We've had other issues with this specific dealership with other cars. I don't recommend them at all for service (broken gear change thingy on a 2018 CRV, can't fix a simple wheel bearing issue on an older Honda Pilot, the list goes on and on). We've had much more pleasant experiences with sales, who are pleasant. read more

My new odyssey purchase was worked out before I set foot in the store. I worked with Jose through email initially later discussing the details by phone. I made a 4 hour drive in to the store and the vehicle was ready for me to drive home. I worked out my financing beforehand and did not have to listen to any hard sell to go through the Honda financing. Finance guy was satisfactory, 15 minutes of paperwork and I was ready to drive home. I rented a one way car to the dealership, did the paperwork, then Jose followed me to the rental car for drop off, he drove me back to the dealership and I was on my way home. read more

I have purchased two vehicles (thus far) from Straub, and I have had a great experience both times. Sales--especially automotive--is often a high pressure / high stakes industry, but the staff at Straub go out of their collective way to ensure you have a wonderful experience when purchasing your vehicle. Think about it, in such a dog-eat-dog market where everyone needs your business, customer satisfaction and repeat business are paramount. Straub excels at customer satisfaction. I observed an older review complaining about a buyer being compelled to purchase some sort of extended warranty--presumably on a used vehicle--which is nonsense: you the BUYER control what you're willing to purchase. If you feel something is off, you walk away, like a sensible consumer. Sure, the sales staff at any dealership will present a large array of options and features to you, but this is how the industry works. If you're not familiar with the car buying process, and expect to broker a great deal, you're effectively 'bringing a knife to a gun fight'. Do research and ask questions, because at the end of the day it's your money, your deal, and ultimately your decision. Straub respects this, and has always treated me with the utmost dignity, so I had to offer a rebuttal to such comments. I did roughly two weeks worth of research on makes and models in classes similar to the vehicle I purchased, I consulted other dealerships, I test-drove inventory at other lots, I used KBB and Edmunds to estimate median trade-in values, and I neglected to mention ANY of this to Straub upon making my initial inquiry. They first made a very competitive offer; and second, upon being asked if they could beat the competition, they shattered my expectations. Repeat business is important in this industry, and the team at Straub were very keen on keeping me a happy customer. They excelled at this, and I will certainly afford them the opportunity to keep my business in the future. On the service and maintenance side, I have had fantastic experiences with Straub. If you use a dealership for service, you are going to pay a premium, but you gain peace of mind. This is a decision for you, the consumer, to make. The mechanics at Straub have actually advised me that certain minor procedures can be done by other local businesses at cheaper prices before I made any decisions. They value your loyalty and decision making so much, they are actually willing to let you CHOOSE to go elsewhere to get a good deal on small repairs (e.g., exhaust, tires, brakes, rotors...). This is a professional, customer-focused, local business, whose staff are members of the local community. The team at Straub have continually impressed me, and I felt the need to make this known. Slow service and rude management in honda dealership/service department. It appeared the manager did not view us as a viable future customer due to our young age. Went to have a engine code read (with appointment) and service did not start for over 1.5 hours. During this time no updates were provided, despite waiting in the waiting room. Neither management nor service center saw any issue with slow service and were rude when asked about the delay. When manager was approached with the issue he saw no issue with the service provided nor did he care about lost business in the future. Kevin stated he was fine with us never returning. read more

We were on our way to Pittsburgh from Cincinnati when our Element broke down. Luckily Straub Honda was at the very next exit! Chad Fullerton was very helpful and got us right in. Turns out we needed a new engine and he was able to get us back on the road with a loaner vehicle right away. We were only off the road for an hour and a half! We completed our trip and was able to pick up our Element three weeks later with a brand new engine. This place really gets what customer service should be. read more

These guys are great! We were traveling through the area on a family road trip when we ran over a piece of metal on the highway which tore through our tire and put a huge hole in the rim. Would never buy a car here have a 3yr 36000 mile deal bought that is a biggest joke that a person can be talked into that is to start.The guy Cody in the repair place will give ya a run around and waste your time and not act like he wants to deal with that coverage off the start tells me the over heating deal was a radiator and needs this that this and the warranty company won't pay for it there for I call they said yes we will cover that and the sway bar end links then he says I will call when I have time not on your time while the cars at the shop.Then sends me on my way says will call when I hear back from them 7 days or better goes along nothing back I call back Cody did ya call sir no sir no time yet wtf right car has a chance to blow up and your not helping me do your job.This Cody guy in that shop needs help and delt with.So had the couple things fixed a local shop that the guy had the warranty company cover and fix plus wasn't told that the fans either one was working then didn't that needed new ones now the car still over heats and if it's the head gasket it's on me not Cody or his shop because they didn't want to help me from the get go will let people now all over the place local and distance to not deal here I don't like lied and taken advantage of paid ya guys good money for a car and bought the extra plan to protect my self your sales guy lied to me said was bumper to bumper will get the papers in the mail nope never did lied again.So if anyone wants to buy a car from this place watch your azz because it will hurt as bad as mine did and I will never send no one there sent 3 people there after I bought a car and they did also will never do so again this car has been a true lemon from day one tranny acts up hear hub noise have break problems not even 24 hrs I had and took back and back and back no one wanted to her Joey in sales said I will make sure fixed nope he lied also this company is a joke watch out for them they are back stabbing place to deal with dont buy a car here read more

I'm a new customer (and first time car buyer), so I can't testify to service after the sale, but the purchasing experience was as pleasant as it could be. Sales tactics were a little high pressure, but I imagine that is probably the case everywhere. Even though I am a young(ish) female, I never felt talked down to, and the sales representative went out of his way to deal with me and not my father who was along for moral support (I've heard other women have encountered that problem elsewhere). Sales representative even came to my workplace to sign paperwork on my lunch hour! Dealership made sure to get the color I wanted after I didn't like the one on the lot. Although the offer on my trade wasn't as high as I hoped, the dealership went out of their way to find the discounts to get the car within my budget. If the service is as good after the sale, I would definitely be a repeat customer (and I love the car!) read more

I made a service appointment for a recall 2 weeks in advance. I live 45 minutes from the dealership. The dealership contacted me the day before the appointment that it was still a go and everything was in order. I was on my way to the appointment and I got a phone call from the dealership that they did not have the part needed to repair my vehicle. I was very upset and told them that they need to find 1 asap. I took the day off work and they contacted me the previous day that everything was a go. I told them that I was going by a dealership and that I would pick a part up if needed to get the work done. They said that they would call to find the part needed, they did call me back 10 minutes later and said they had 1 left. ? Really, I am giving a 3 because they did supposedly fix the recall and did an oil change. Not to sure if I can trust this dealership after this episode? Good luck if you use them... read more

Still laughable. This week I received a fake check in the mail from Straub offering to buy the car that I'd already traded in nearly 2 months ago. And, today I received a call from the new sales manager (who was very nice!) who was ready and willing to sell me the car that I had initially wanted BACK IN NOVEMBER (this is mid May, mind you). After ignoring me for half a year, suddenly they are eager to get my business. Maybe that is because a new manager. Do they really think people want to wait half a year for them to get their act together and finally decide that they are ready to sell a car?? NO! Sorry, Straub, you failed miserably with me; a customer with the means to purchase and was very ready to do so. I'll be going to OV Honda where I had the best car buying experience yet. read more

I drove 6 hours to buy the car I wanted; I called them a day before, and they agreed to call me if someone bought the car while I was en route. The first civic I bought from them was a fantastic deal...great price. Then I traded that vehicle in because I had very high miles on it ( I travel a lot) and the deal was not good...should of walked away. Called them and told them something was wrong with the radio, took it in was told the warranty was up, didn't have it a year, but high mileage on a new vehicle. Out of warranty. Recently took it in for oil change, my high beam was burnt out, asked how much? Over $45 to change little bulb. I said forget it!! I went to Napa, paid $9.00 for same exact replacement bulb and fixed it myself in 5 minutes!! I am 57 years old and a female and I saved myself $36 for a little bulb. I feel I never got a good deal the second time. They earned my business the first time and I told everyone what a great place to buy a car...now I tell people to go somewhere else. read more
