The person that they used to photoshop my picture was not experienced and or rushed through it. Parts of my cosplay were cut out. I was really hoping to have the same quality work that they displayed at the convention but it was obviously to good to be true. Sadly the poster I purchased will not be displayed anywhere because it has to many obvious mistakes that my friends and family will notice. I could have done a better job. read more

I've worked with SPS since 2014 for professional printing and I haven't found a better, faster, more affordable service anywhere else, and their staff is the absolute best around. I've had them print magazines, postcards, posters, formal invitations, self-mailers, large scale cutouts, and much more - I've never been dissatisfied and in fact, they catch and fix my mistakes more often than not. The comic con reviews on here show no accurate reflection of the real work they do. Highly recommend for printing services, but they also lease and sell printing equipment to offices. SPS (Strategic print solutions) was at cedar rapids comic con. They displayed their photoshopped posters of different cosplayers and they looked very nicely done as if effort had been put into them. Now before I go on I believe that either 1. they actually spent time on photoshopping them 2. they printed pictures photoshopped from someone else as after all they are a printing shop 3. they didn't even have a photoshopping program now going on my friend and I decide to pay $10 individually for big sized posters of ourselves photoshopped into any background of our choice seemed like a good deal right? especially with what was being displayed to the cosplayers there. We get our pictures taken individually of course and receive confirmation emails and move on. A week or two maybe three later after the con I receive an email saying that my poster is going to be shipped and will arrive very soon. I wait patiently for it to arrive yet I ponder how it will look like and naturally i'm excited to see the results as it's my first time being photoshopped by a "professional". I come home from school and see the poster waiting for me all rolled and wrapped up. I open it up before I have to go to work and because of my excitement I see my head and the gorgeous background they chose for me (A german castle.) I unroll the poster fully and notice something isn't right. The photoshopping was terrible it looks as if someone just took the wand tool and clicked many times to remove as much background as they could it's sad as they seemed decently professional at the con. There was still part of the white background around my head, sword and dress. Part of my leg was missing as well as one of my heels from my shoes and there was white background around them too and some of the hilt of my sword was missing too and there was white background around the tip of my sword as well. To be fair I added to the theory of it being the first time they did something like this but after some stalking at CRCC in 2016 they were there as well and someone posted their poster and it looked very nice there was time put into it. It was disappointing since the quality of the poster was awesome as well as the quality of printing and background. I'll just hide it in the corner of my closet I guess as I cannot bring myself to just throw it out after all some effort was made and I paid $10 bucks for it. You know what they say, you get what you pay for but I wish they displayed how they truly photoshopped people instead of displaying nicely done ones. I would've rather waited longer and paid more to look better and slightly more realistically blended in with the background itself. read more
