BWP also has an online auction platform and you can buy some things at super cheap prices in bulk from their website - like a random case of 20 Funko Pop figurines for $60.00 bucks! We went to one garden center in Cedar Rapids and the employee/owner recommended we check it out because we were looking for specific things. Oh and it was like being in Disneyland! We got such beautiful flowers and then when we went back the following year, think early May or the week before Mother's Day we got some Mock Orange shrubs that were 50% off because they were from last year and boy are they doing beautifully. In that same trip we got some native plants and flowers which is super neat. Their plants are healthy so we definitely get what you pay for. I'm a big flower gardener and since going here no other nursery in our area can compete. Some might find it on the high side, just depends on what you get, but if you think of establishing a long term perennial garden, the value is so there!

It was like an amazon page, but for real! Seriously though, they've got a ton of salt shakers that varied from things you'd use and things you'd buy for grandma's collection. The biggest surprise here was the sheer amount of stuff that was contained in this whimsical store. The place extends back into four large rooms filled w/ more kitchen stuff than you can shake a stick at. It ranges from old school to new kitchen trinkets I hadn't heard of. To boot, they've got an old school candy shop in the back where I procured some cherry balls that would may the grandparent jealous. Best part of that area however was the vintage cash register that we got rung up on. Seriously cool for those interested in such pleasantries. The four stars here are based mostly on the lack of stuff available in the immediate area. This isn't a William-Sonoma, but it's a couple steps up from the stores in the Coralville mall where you can get any kitchen novelty item you want, but nothing you'll use. On the contrary, this is actually a place we'll stop by when we're up in Amana, both for things we need and to grab an Elvis salt/pepper combo.

Otherwise it's a bit small but since I don't know what they charge even I won't judge them for that. What they did have was generally pretty impressive, the Grant Wood collection was surprisingly beautiful. The Roman section had some great historic items as well. There's as a large focus on local Iowa artists, and a lot of landscape works at the moment at least. Plenty of free parking in the area on weekdays, I saw a garage too but don't know the situation. Staff is friendly and helpful. Definitely worth checking out. Building is old and pretty cool.
