Classroom facilities are located on the second floor, allowing the ground floor to be dedicated to their showroom. I seek out quilt stores for my wife any time we make a road trip and this store was the first of five, on a recent trip to southern Minnesota. (We live near Columbia, MO.) To the best of my knowledge, the wife found their prices to be competitive and we left with an armful of "stuff." If we pass through Cedar Rapids again, I have no doubt that "Inspired to Sew" will be on our itinerary.

My biggest kudos are for two things: 1) the lighting in this store is magnificent. So many times when shopping for fabric in other stores, I struggle to see the true color, the pattern, etc. That is not the case here. 2) the staff is very knowledgable and it is obvious they LOVE what they do. I hate going into a big box store that sells fabric and it is obvious the sales staff doesn't know a bobbin from a tension knob. Do yourself a favor and visit Stitch'n Sew Cottage.
