Kevin did an amazing job with our pup Mack. Mack loved going to classes weekly. We see a huge improvement with Mack's behavior. Kevin was awesome, he worked with our schedule and explained everything in detail once we were done with Mack's classes. I would definitely recommend others to work with Kevin. read more

Strategic K9, Kevin especially, was exactly the kind of help/expertise we were looking for in regards to training our shepherd/Malinois mix puppy. He quickly assessed our training needs and worked with us to guide our pup in the right direction, and we're so grateful! We've signed up for the advanced classes after the beginner course worked so well. read more

One of the best decisions I have made as a dog owner was to work with the strategic K9 team. Recently did the day train with my doberman(Roux) and it made a night and day difference with how easy it was to handle him. Not only do they train your dog but they teach you how to be a better handler. Family owned and operated, supports the military, will work with your schedule, and geniunly nice people. Thank you Kevin and Michelle with your hard work with Roux and looking forward to scheduling more classes for him. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! read more

If you're looking for quality training for your precious pup look no further! Strategic was the best decision we made for our dog. We sent our maltipoo to the three week board&train program about a year ago and have been joining Strategic for their Sunday park classes since. What a steal of a deal! Not only is Kevin an amazing trainer, knowledgeable, fun to work with, he also is very personable. He makes training your dog fun and not feel like work! (Even tho it is a lot of work!) I have had experience with trainers who made me feel stupid or ashamed but Strategic never has. They genuinely care about the progress of your pet. Stop wasting your money on Petco training classes, you are clearly on Yelp looking for a solution and you have found it! Strategic is worth every dollar for a happier pup and a happier home. read more

Strategic K9 Training turned my little velociraptor into a well mannered good boy! I was at my wits end with my 5 month old Belgian Malinois. He was the typical Mal, bouncing off the walls, stubborn, mouthy, separation anxiety, driving me absolutely crazy! He spent 3 weeks with Kev'n and I couldn't believe the results!! I get compliments in public about how obedient he is - ALL THE TIME. Really glad I added Raptor to the Strategic K9 Pack! read more

I'm extremely satisfied with Strategic K9 Training. Kevin does an amazing job helping me figure out my pup and also figuring out what's best for her. Right off the bat I can definitely say that my dog is now a completely different dog! She has learned how to place very quickly and walk side by side. Only within 3 sessions!(of course there is still much to learn but it's unbelievable to think how fast my pup picked up from him!) Can't wait for the park training! read more

I'm not into writing reviews normally however I can't emphasize enough how amazing Strategic K-9's team are. I have a 11-month-old pup that had no manners and was obnoxious to walk because she pulled so hard. A neighbor referred these guys to me and it has changed my life and hers. All I can say is she is amazing now. She listens to commands I took her for a mile and a half walk the other day she was off her leash and healed by my side the whole way. We walked by people, we walked by dogs jumping at her on the other side of the fence and she stayed at a heal. Priceless! Thank you guys so much! read more

Absolutely love this place! My dog did a 3 week training program and came back amazing. Kevin did an awesome job with Moose (my dog) and he really helped me as well and taught me how to keep up with training. As well as gave me all the tools necessary to keep up with that too. Overall 10/10 would recommend! read more

We are very very happy with the 3 week training results. I consider it a very valuable investment! We sent our golden retriever puppy to Strategic K9 at 6-7 months old because she was pulling a lot on walks and as she was getting heavier it was harder to control her. Also her nails were getting ground down to the nail bed because of the pulling. I did a lot of research on Yelp before landing on Strategic K9 and during our initial consultation session it was clear to me Kevin is a true expert and I liked his training style (very engaging and pup was excited). I wanted her to be more obedient and not go crazy on walks. I was a bit nervous sending her away from home but honestly she was in great hands with a team of experts so you don't have to worry. We also got progress updates and video clips from Instagram which was really cool to see. She looks liked she had a lot of fun with the other pups. Two weeks in we visited the facility to see her progress and was very amazed at how well she obeyed commands and walked calmly by my side. Kevin will not only train your dog but train you to learn how to maintain what your dog learned. Michelle his wife was also extremely organized, helpful and friendly from the start. She answered our many many questions and was very responsive about any concerns. It was like messaging a friend. We love attending the ongoing Sunday park class now! We take our pup out to the mall, restaurants and the neighborhood which is a very pleasant walking experience. Looking forward to sending Charlie to board when we go on vacation . They only board dogs that they have trained and I feel more comfortable about that than sending her to a doggy daycare with random dogs. Thank you Kevin, Michelle and his team! read more

We had our cattle dog for about a year and adopted a 2 year old French bull dog about 8 months after, our house was chaos and we needed to get these boys into training ASAP. After doing some research, we went with Strategic K9 and we are so glad we did! The obedience that we now have on both our boys feels so good and gave use a huge sense of relief. Kevin not only trained our boys but educated us on how to properly train our boys with the tools he provided, Kevin was super patient with us, which we both appreciated because working with our cattle dog, tested us A LOT. The whole Strategic Team was very helpful, kept us informed and reminded us of all our trainings. We highly recommend training with Strategic K9 ! read more

Wow! Had an evaluation session for our chiweenie puppy with Daniel and he's truly a miracle worker and dog whisperer! We have seen drastic improvement in his behavior with just this one session. Daniel not only taught us all about training techniques but explained everything so well and gave us a few options to customize based on our preferences. He taught our puppy to walk better on a leash and he immediately picked up new commands. I was SO impressed I honestly can't even express it. So thankful we found this godsend! Gives us hope for continued improvement in behavior and obedience. Thank you Daniel!!!! read more

We highly recommend Kevin and his team! We rescued Roxy, a 9 month old Belgian Malinois, and had no idea what we were getting ourselves into. As soon as we met Roxy, we knew we needed professional help to deal with her major leash reactivity and anxiety. Kevin and his team were so accommodating and moved around their schedule to see us as soon as possible. Looking back at our initial session two months ago, it's amazing to see Roxy's progress! Something that helped us a lot in this journey was Kevin's emphasis that we, as Roxy's handlers, play a major role in our girl's progress. Our training sessions were as much for Roxy as for ourselves. Before starting our sessions with Kevin we felt defeated and incapable of dealing with Roxy, but Kevin helped us to feel empowered and gave us tools to help Roxy. The weekly park classes have also been an incredible resource for us and we consider them such an important part of Kevin's program. Thank you Kevin and Michelle for helping us when we had lost all hope! read more

My husband and I decided to have the 2 week board and train for our sweet and energetic goldendoodle Dolce. When he came back he was definitely more responsive and well mannered. Kevin is an awesome trainer. I recommend him highly. He is so knowledgeable and patient. Try him, you won't go wrong.

Kevin was awesome!! He helped with our puppy "Shi-chi" (mixed breed chihuahua shitzu). My family and I-first time dog owner took puppy training classes. In five sessions we learned strategies, used positive reinforcement techniques by praising Benji and giving rewards using food. Kevin taught our puppy appropriate behavior to be around other dogs. Benji little by little learned to adapt to change. Thank you Kevin & Strategic K9 training for your support.. Happy Holidays!! read more

My dog Tanuki came home to us today and I would like to say that I'm pleased with what I see. I plan to continue working with Tanuki after I get home from work. And use the tools given to me by Strategic k9 Training staff. I would recommend this place to other dog owners. And first and foremost affordable. Michelle, she's been very informative and honest since day 1. Kevin and Nate, great job with handling these family members of ours. Thank you all so much. read more

Kevin is an Amazing trainer. Our 1 year old Westie/Bichon has fear issues like no other and on our first 2 hour session he had her following his lead with the collar and leash. Taught us how to control her when she wanted to bark or not follow direction with negative, positive and praise system. She was walking outside with people and other dogs just as a well behaved pup should. I highly recommend Kevin and his company for any doggy issues you may have. #happydogparents read more

Buddy is a 1 year and 5 mos. old dog with so much energy... he is kennel agressive and he lunges/bark/growl to people/dogs that's why I was kinda embarrassed while walking him at the park. I asked for some tips/suggestions from the puppy training where I enrolled him for his boot camp but none of their suggestions work. I was frustrated that time. I really love him and I don't want to give up on him. Luckily, I found Strategic K9 training and saw the reviews and gave it a try. Once Kevin entered our house, Buddy won't stop barking and growling towards him to the point that even me, got afraid to touch him. But during the training, we we're impressed on how Buddy and Kevin get along well. We were extremely pleased with Kevin. He is very knowledgeable about dog training. All along, I thought I already knew how to dealt with Buddy's behavior but liitle did I know, I was told wrong. FYI, they've only met once but looks like they're best friends...Now I am confident to walk Buddy at the park . Still much to be done tho, but I am a happy mom seeing Buddy has a progress... I would highly recommend him to anyone... Thank you so much Kevin and Michelle... see you soon!!! read more

My husband and I are so impressed with how different our german shepherd is after just two hours of training with Kevin! Some main concerns we had with our dog was leash aggression and leash reactivity. During our time together, Kevin was very informative and patient. He answered all the questions we had. We got a chance to take our dog to Home Depot and just wow! That was the calmest we've ever seen our dog on a leash. Before, taking our dog for a walk was a dreaded chore but now we are excited to keep training her and take what Kevin has taught us and keep implying it everyday. We are also excited for the group walk! Thank you, Kevin, for helping us out! We are definitely referring all our friends and family here :) read more

Kevin and his family and team are amazing and well knowledgeable. I have a 4 year old Shiba, Butter, that had a lot of social anxiety and bad habits that I wasn't sure anyone could help fix. I did the 3 weeks B&T and I couldn't be more happier. My stubborn Shiba no longer tug on the leash when I'm going on walks. And since Shiba Inu's are known to be so stubborn, I was having a hard time having Butter do some of the commands, even tho he knows those commands. Now, whatever I tell him to do, he does as told. Butter also suffers from social anxiety, I guess when he was younger, I didn't expose him enough to things, so Kevin has helped me and shown me how to continue exposing him to new things everyday and in time he will get better. When you do B&T, Kevin offers life time of park classes, so every Sunday, he holds a class to further train your doggy's and maintain the trainings that has been done and taught. I take Butter to every single one of those glasses and he's been doing so well. I'm completely obsessed with the transformation Kevin has provided for me and Butter. read more

We were in a dire situation with a very large and potentially dangerous two year old dog that bit both my husband and myself. We were at the end of our wits, not really knowing which way to go. I obtained information about StartegicK9 from a reputable dog breeder that knew my dog's breed. I gave them a call and it was like I had answers immediately. Kevin, the owner came within a week and after observing our dog, he picked him up and took him for a six week Board & Train. His wife Michelle( family business) was extremely attentive and answered every question no matter the time of the day. We felt like we were listened to and that they really cared about helping us and our pup. Fast forward two months later, we picked our pup two days ago and although I know we still have a long road ahead of us to reestablish the broken trust, at least now we have the tools and the language to get around understanding our pup.We will be forever grateful to Strategic K9 training for giving us this chance to keep our precious baby. They are available at any time of the day for any questions that may arise after your dog comes back home, as well as continuing education classes to fine tune the training received. We got back a well behaved, happy and calm dog, we highly recommend them for any needs your pet may have. Kevin is extremely knowledgeable about dog behaviors and a pleasure to work with. read more

Kevin is incredible! We brought our 7 month old rescue puppy to him and he helped us tremendously! Within one session, the dog was trained in ways we'd been trying to work him for weeks! Wow! Just wow! My family and I had our first consultation for our 1 year old dog Leo today and we learned so much! Kevin our trainer was great! Very informative and knowledgeable! He made learning easy and fun and when we didn't understand, he was patient and answered all of our questions! It's going to be very challenging! We are 5 people in the house. When we first got Leo he was a cute sweet pup! We let him roam our house and be in charge. He could understand simple commands like sit, lay down, stay and wait, but Leo is a very territorial dog. He would bark and be very aggressive to anyone that came to our house or walked in front of our house! We could not let anyone come over our house to visit! He acted like a killer dog. Today with the help of Kevin we have learned to be in control of Leo instead of Leo being in control of us! Leo is doing a great job being obedient with praise of course! We have a lot of work ahead of us but I am confident we found the right trainer for Leo. Thanks Kevin! read more

Strategic K9 and the trainer Kevin has changed our lives. We hired Kevin to help us train our 2 year old rescued pit bull mix. We sent our dog for the two week board and training session. We were worried about how she would do away from home with a stranger but Kevin arranged to come to our house to meet our dog and go through how his training program work. Kevin and his team is always readily available when we have questions and sent us pictures throughout the training. Kevin has been extremely patient with us and enthusiastic about helping us learn how to train our pup. As a part of the board and train program, Kevin offers lifetime training classes every weekend at Liberty station park which has been amazing. The lifetime park classes really made the program standout compared to others.  Strategic K9 is an amazing company and worth every cent! Kevin has helped us achieve our training goals above and beyond what we expected, specifically recall in distracting environments.  Would highly recommend Strategic K9 training program for anyone who wants a better life for them and their pups! read more

Kevin went above and beyond with training our Airedale Terrier. Airedales are known for being intelligent, but also stubborn and having a lot of energy. Our puppy is no exception and we had some undesirable behaviors we really needed help with. Kevin has been an exceptional trainer. He was committed, very patient, and incredibly knowledgeable. I was blown away when I asked how long he had been training dogs because his answer was "two years" (or something like that) and I thought for sure he'd say at least ten plus because that's how good he is. He really knows dogs and their behaviors well. Not only that, but he was super nice and very professional! He took and shared training videos and gave lots of useful/helpful tips for us to use as we continue training our pup on our own. The training results have been impressive and we would definitely recommend Kevin to anyone looking for an exceptional dog trainer. He was fantastic! read more
