The dining area needs some attention. I don't recommend eating in the establishment. It's more of an order and pick up vibe. I ordered their lunch special Philly cheese steak 8 inch with fries for $18.50. The Philly cheese steak was seasoned to perfection. That being said the bread could've been fresher, It was chewy, the fries were standard, but cooked well. The person that served me my food & brought out my order was average/fair. I walked away with no feeling one way or the other about the service. My opinion is, I don't feel like I really got value for my money. The reason being, is because with the sandwich, I got no mayonnaise no lettuce, no tomato no pickles. It was a straight sandwich with no extras. Meat and bread. When I asked for extra onions, I was told it was gonna be an additional $1.50. I really couldn't even tell there was cheese on my sandwich . With all of that being said, the Philly cheese steak itself with the seasonings could have been a real showstopper with a little bit more love when preparing and giving the food. Maybe with some mayonnaise and lettuce and tomato help brighten the sandwich. It would be great! And fresh Bread. Straight out of Philly welcomes you with bright colors and an inviting outdoor entrance... the interior was a bit of a shock. Very uninviting. This is clearly a pick up spot but we dined in. Black plastic covers on the tables that could use a bit more dusting and less than welcoming staff but fun wall decor and art. We got the gravy fries and added mozzarella cheese. A Philly style "poutine" if you will. They were very yummy and fresh but way too much pepper. A bit overwhelming. Next was a Philly cheesesteak with EXTRA cheese... what we got was over cooked and dry steak with nowhere near "extra" cheese. The cheese pizza was very tasty! Not too heavy on sauce, not sweet and cheesy. Pipping hot too! We enjoyed this giant pie for days to come. Wickham Rd., Melbourne, FL 32935 4.5 Star I've had takeout from Straight Outta Philly on several occasions; however, this was my first time stepping inside any one of their three locations. As I found the owner, Mike Grillakis manning the counter along with the delightful and knowledgeable K.C. helping out, I certainly made the correct choice in locations! As I mentioned, I have had takeout before and it has always been outstanding. In-person, I asked K.C. for one Elijah's Pepperoni Addiction Cheese Steak and one loaded Italian Stallion Hoagie. While Mike was working his magic on making my order, I asked K.C. if I could have a sample of their Gyro meat. While it was not on a spit, as your official dragoman, I can assure you it is the real deal Gyro meat. I have spoken. Taking a seat, I snapped some pics and waited for my sandwiches. First up on my palate was Elijah's Pepperoni Addiction Cheese Steak. If I've said it once, I've said it a million times: the key to any fantastic sandwich is the bread. If the bread sucks, the rest is moot. I failed to ask (my bad), so I don't know if Mike makes his own bread on-site or if he purchases it fresh every morning. Regardless, it is spectacular. The bread is fresh, warm, flaky on the outside and chewy on the inside. Perfecto! The toppings were on par with the base as the flavors magnificently mingled in my mouth. Turning my attention to the Loaded Italian Stallion Hoagie was not an easy thing to accomplish, but for the sake of you, the reader, I managed to succeed. Again, the sandwich bread was extraordinary and the toppings were fresh, tasty, crunchy, savory and overall amazing. What a fantastic Hoagie! Hey! Fast food sandwich chains, (I'm talking to you Jersey Mike's and Subway), pay heed to this guy! It is obvious to the casual observer that Mike and his employees care about the hash they sling and it shows through with love. Absolutely disgusted! I placed my order from their website. The order never came and we were not notified that it was on it's way. Usually they have Door dash deliver and never had a problem. When I called to check on my order, I was immediately put on hold. When they finally took my call the woman I spoke to told me that an Uber driver had picked it up and as it was done through a 3rd party that were not responsible and would do nothing about it and it was up to me to contact the Uber driver. read more

Holy smokes, this place is amazing! We went for lunch today to try it out and we're absolutely blown away by how good everything tasted. We tried two 12-inch originals with onions (one with whiz and one with provolone), some cheesesteak fries, and plain fries. Everything was hot and delicious; we couldn't pick a favorite out of these choices. The fries were crispy, the meat was very flavorful, and both cheese choices were fantastic. Your cheese choice definitely affects the end result, but I don't think you can go wrong whatever choice you make. The restaurant is exactly what you'd expect a cheesesteak spot to look like inside. It's no-frills with a little bit of Philadelphia charm on the walls. It was plenty busy around lunch time with a lot of customers and food delivery drivers picking up to-go orders. We dined in. The nice woman working the counter was very helpful and made sure to check in with us to make sure we were happy a bit after our food was brought out. I didn't expect that and was pleasantly surprised. Their menu has a lot more to offer, so we will definitely be back to try more of their delicious offerings. read more

Straight Outta Philly's customer service leaves a lot to be desired... There was recently a big push on their social media channels promoting that they now offer seeded rolls for their cheesesteaks. I was extremely excited to try this and so I went on their website to order a couple for my daughter and me. Their website had no option to allow you to specify bread type, so I left a note in the special instructions area stating that we would like the seeded rolls. 30 minutes (and $30) later, I showed up to pick up the order. The woman behind the counter informed me that they don't offer the seeded rolls for 8" cheesesteaks and handed me two cheesesteaks on their regular rolls. When I expressed my disappointment, rather than trying to remediate the situation, she literally said "you already paid" and then basically shoo'd me out the door. There was absolutely no attempt to contact me after I placed the order online to let me know that what I ordered wasn't possible. Instead, they just took my money and proceeded to make me something that I didn't want. read more

First I will start by saying I've always loved Straight Outta Philly but I will NOT be ordering from them again! This one particular time I ordered off the slice app and ordered a Stromboli and two cheesesteak wraps with AMERICAN cheese. We received the order and both cheesesteaks had provolone cheese. May not be a big deal to some but to us it was! I sent a message on my Slice app and they reached out to the store. They replied by saying "No, the order was made correctly and for a refund we need to speak to the manager/owner". I wasn't even asking for a refund! Maybe a credit of some sort and for them to at least ADMIT THE ORDER WAS WRONG but nope they insisted it was made correctly! The customer service with the Slice app was AMAZING! They apologized over and over again and even reached out to me a few days later and said they reached out to the manager/owner and said once again "order was made correctly and no refund will be given". Again I never asked for a refund but the way they acted and went about the whole situation changes my whole outlook with them and will NOT order from them again just because of their customer service! This same thing happened to my Mom and she drove UP THERE and told them it was made wrong and they said NOPE it was made the way u ordered it and MADE HER PAY FOR A NEW ONE! I'm going to be honest. I didn't like the food. The crabby fries I really was wanting to devour it. I can say there was no crab meat, flavor, or even a hint of crab. Although, they did have "Old Bay" seasoning sprinkled on theirs. Next, I had ordered the "Philly Cheesesteak" which I must say I'm not a fan of. I will give my best opinion for it. Went to the "Down the Shore" tonight as I really wanted to check it out. Ordered the "Spicy Bite" because the thought of some Red Cherry peppers mixed in sounded perfect - it was. In typical Philly fashion the place is decked out in Philly sports decorations including a few Rocky references. Their cheesesteaks aren't bad. I had mine with mushrooms onions and hot peppers. Unfortunately I have yet to find a 'cheesesteak' place in the area which actually puts a fair amount of cheese on their cheesesteaks. They have a Coca-Cola sign for their menu however they only sell Pepsi products. And the display signs for Thurmond Meats is for products they don't even sell as I would have had a hot pastrami sandwich had they even had pastrami like advertised. My husband ordered the Philly and A soda and I ordered the Gyro with fries. The restaurant is a cross of a fast food and a restaurant. Meaning, they have tables for you to sit inside or outside and a crew member to come and see if you need anything. Our order came out hot and amazing! My dad is from Philly so growing up, I was exposed to the top cheesesteaks in the city quite a bit. This place has the best cheesesteak I've had outside the city. It is the finely chopped style you'll find at Jim's on south street rather than the large slab of ribeye from a Pat's or Geno's. They have a ton of customization options. I had the small cheesesteak and it was pretty loaded up with meat and whiz. Delicious. Also, do not sleep on the pizzas here. They are awesome -- northeastern style with a nice thin crust. I don't understand the negative reviews. Maybe some fans of losing football teams are a bit envious that Philly now has it all. read more
