When they came to remove/clean up the trees everything was perfect. They left my yard cleaner than they found it. They even cleaned my kiddos trampoline off of pine needles which was not from their doing. They did not take shortcuts, communicated extremely well, and were on time. I highly recommend them.

JT was professional, punctual, and incredibly knowledgeable about various plants and trees, which was a huge help in deciding what to keep and what to remove. They also pushed back and shaped the hedges along our driveway, leaving everything looking clean and well-maintained. The service and results were excellent--and their quote was lower than four other companies we contacted. Highly recommend!

Blocking the roof (tell you how big it was) for solar panels we wanted installed. I called quite a few companies. Some drastically more expensive than what was quoted but a few others that were cheaper than was quoted with Baum. While we as people generally navigate towards "cheaper is better", I don't think that would be the greatest approach to someone chopping a tree down with limbs that hang over your house. For me, picking someone whom I felt comfortable with and appears like they know where they're doing at a 'reasonable' price is what I was aiming for. When he came to do a quote he was very meticulous in his measurements, thought process, and explanation of what was to happen. I enjoyed the thorough detail and easy approach he took. My job was NOT easy. He had to: 1. Remove/re-install 2 fence panels 2. Remove/re-install a pergola. 3. Deal with the fact that was all looming over my 2 story house. In the end, I know I made the right decision. His work ethic, value, and craftsmanship are second to none. I would highly recommend going with Baum for tree cutting service. Also - when getting a quote - give them a call. They're more responsive versus Yelp. Nothing bad about it - just something I noticed. Frankly, I was nervous about the prospect of damage to my newly shingled roof - so I needed a very reliable and safe removal service. I tend to "over-research" things ("Fail to plan, plan to fail" - John Wooden, UCLA). So I got five (5) estimates. I selected Mountain to Sea Tree Service because of four factors: 1. Safety 2. Fair Price 3. Excellent Reviews 4. Safety Yeah - I counted safety twice. I worry (about the roof, folks working at our place being safe, etc). After spending a lot of time researching (Insured? Yes. Bonded? Yes. Excellent rep and ratings, both by customers and BBB? Yes), I met Andrew Stillman, owner of Mountain to Sea, and we walked my property. Unlike one tree service owner who does a lot of work in our area, Andrew did not "leave his truck running, race around in a rush fast-talking price before he even saw the trees". Andrew explained everything, his approach and experience, and any concerns I had evaporated. Although I rank price below safety, he was also the most competitive with price by far, and that I believe is because the other services planned to use a Crane (adding cost) over several days. Andrew learned the business with the large trees on the West coast and handled it the old fashioned way, no expensive crane sitting at my place for days. I was stunned with the precision with which each branch and limb was cut and lowered, even the most precarious ones hanging far above our roof. Andrew climbed, cut, and his team carefully and gently lowered each limb in a manner that was downright surgical and gentle. Cleanup? I've had a lot of experience with companies at our properties (three house roofs reshingled, two barn roofs, trees removed, etc), and Andrew's crew goes above and beyond, cleaning as they work. My place actually looked "better and cleaner" when they were finished. Andrew and his crew are very polite, friendly, and personable. We highly recommend Mountain to Sea Tree Service. They are safe, bonded and insured, very very skilled, and their prices are fair and competitive.

I contacted Chesbay about removing a tree that I thought needed to be removed. They came over and…read moregave a very well priced estimate of what the job would cost which included stump grinding. They started the job in the middle of March and stated this would be a 2 week process. It turned into a 2 month process and they didnt finish until the middle of May. They were delayed when they dropped a branch on the power line and it was on the ground. This was a big safety hazard and they had to wait for the power company to make it safe again. They also wouldnt work in the rain....until the last week when it was raining every day and they still would work to finally finish the job Here's where things really went wrong. I was asked if I wanted some of the wood for whatever. I said sure, if you can make it manageable. One of the workers put his chainsaw blade up to some of the tree that was which I said was perfect. They asked me how much of the wood I wanted, I stated, all if it if its manageable. Jimmy, who I think is the owner comes by and says the job is complete. They had left these huge chunks on the lawn, which was destroyed, and when he comes over for the final payment, I asked him, what am I gonna do with this. I cant move this. He said he could move it for price. In the contract we had, it stated they would clean up. Check the pictures posted below and let me know if that would fill the bill. Jimmy stated, "I have people saying you wanted all of the wood." I told him I do if it was manageable. Jimmy then said, "I have someone who can come over and split this up for you and I'll get back to you by the end of the week." He never got back to me. I made several calls maybe 15, of only 1 which was returned. This process of cleaning up to see what was left has taken me 7 months to clean up what I can. The tree stump grinding wasnt finished either. Its still above ground over most of where the tree was and part of it is still sticking up another foot above ground. It also looked like they were in the process of cutting the wood up and were told to leave it alone. Several pieces were cut around 20 inches but not all the way through. If they couldnt do what was promised, they should at least notify me and I could have made that choice to where to take it away or leave it but when Jimmy told me he could get someone to come and split the wood, I would have taken the wood. If he had been upfront, it would have been, take it away. 3 people cant even budge several of what was left. I shouldnt have ever given the 2nd check as the job wasnt finished. Thats a my mistake. I trust people at their word. If you do work with them, make sure its 100% finished or you will get ghosted like myself
