Pizza we had to add extra meat to

Very nice, busy, not much variety on the menu Definitely not Italian, more like tofu California. Limited beer and wine menu. The food we ordered was good, but not over the top. I recommend if your a picky eater and hate flavourful food. Staff is very attentive and helpful.

Worth the wait! We went on a beautiful Friday evening. It was PACKED and we had to wait for a long time to get seated. Thankfully there were some open standing tables to order drinks while we waited and the time passed quickly since we were able to enjoy some drinks. The pizza was delicious. We tried the Brooklyner and the white pizza - amazing dough, delicious ingredients. The service was friendly but they were a little flustered (understandably). I had to remind them about a drink I ordered. The food came out quickly thankfully cause we were staving by the time we could order. Overall, would definitely come back but maybe need to go on a weekday instead.

Stracci Pizza is a must try restaurant in Del Ray. They only take reservations for parties of 5+ so expect a bit of a wait if you don't have one, but it's so worth it! We had a large party, so we opted for the famiglia menu, which was a sampling of their appetizers, pizzas, and desserts for $37/person. It was an incredible meal, and I highly recommend it! One thing to note is that a 20% service fee is added onto your check for a group. We weren't told, so we tipped 20% on top of that. After we realized it, we looked on the website & saw the fine print in the bottom corner of the menu that mentioned the service fee. Ultimately, it was on us and not that big of a deal, but it would've been nice & simple for the server to mention it when we paid. We didn't get an actual check to review the cost- it was digital contactless payment that just had the total on the screen & an automatic tip pop up, so the only indication was the small text in the bottom corner of the menu.

Stracci delivered a standout experience for our group of ten. Our waiter, Michael, handled a large table with ease, and the service felt warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Their family-style menu was a fun culinary experience, starting with flavorful appetizer dips with incredible focaccia, followed by fresh salad, and a lineup of pizzas that kept everyone reaching for another slice. Dessert of cannolis and ice cream rounded everything out perfectly. Portions were generous enough that everyone left with leftover pizza. The breads, especially the focaccia and the pizza crusts, were the stars of the show. A memorable night and an easy five-star experience. Wine selections is great too.

Devoured the yellowfin tuna tartare so no pics of that. That was probably my favorite app. The olives on top was a nice touch and the tomatoes were fresh ! The meatballs are also incredibly tender and worth it ! Also, fully enjoyed the pizza with anchovies! It wasn't too salty, just right and not too large but a decent size for two to share! The sidecar drink was also delicious! Service was great you ordered from the QR code on your phone and everything was delivered really quickly to the table! They're also very friendly and very helpful if anything is needed! It gives off very quaint mom and pop vibes. It's small with adequate seating just enough to have a cozy date or a family meal! If I wanted to secure a spot, I would make a reservation! Everything on the pizza was made in house and for that reason alone I'd be happy to return and try other items on the menu.

This has become my go-to spot. I've come here several times in the past 6- months and I have to say they are consistently delicious, have exceptional service, and you always walk away satisfied. If you go during the weekdays, the line moves quickly. It is walk in only but don't let that deter you. You can order apps while waiting and the gigante beans with focaccia is a must. Don't skip over the apps and order them in tandem with the pizza. Always ask what the speciality is! Time and time again, I always love the traditional stracci. The crust is brilliant; flavors are divine. Consistent Picks: - meatballs - gigante beans + focaccia - stracci - brooklyner - order extra Stracciatella The summer days and fall days offer outside seating. The ambiance is warm and inviting. You order at your own pace but the staff checks in on you!

Best pizza in Old Town Alexandria - hands down! If you don't line up outside by 4:45 PM, prepare to wait another hour for a table inside. The place is bustling and has a family friendly, casual feel. Once I placed a takeout order online for 5 PM and was heading out of town. The kitchen was backlogged with orders till 7 PM, but the staff was kind enough to make an exception. Highly recommend the Stracci and Brooklyner pizzas and for appetizers, caponata and focaccia. The pizzas are on the smaller side so recommend one per person. The wine list is extensive. We came back to try the pre-set family for a larger group and everyone loved it. Great deal with plenty of food to take home.

Amazing experience! Went here for Valentine's today! I will start with the hard truths first and finish with the amazing experience second. They do not take reservations over the phone so honey busy holiday weekend or any given weekend. You will need to get there early and expect some wait times. We were told roughly an hour to an hour and a half away and it was exactly an hour and a half. Though it seems long, I promise you it was well worth the wait! The staff was very accommodating and super helpful walking us through the menus and the specials that they had that weekend. The food came out extremely quick while still being fresh, warm and flavorful. We had a great conversation with the people sitting next to us as well as the wait staff. Overall, it is a very family-oriented experience with great food, great vibes and a great time. We can't wait to go back soon!

Tucked away inside a quiet residential neighborhood, Stracci Pizza feels like a hidden gem--and a very cute one at that. The location has real charm, and the cozy, low-key vibe makes it feel like a true neighborhood staple. It's the kind of place you stumble upon and immediately want to tell your friends about. Each portion is the perfect portion: satisfying without being overwhelming. What really stands out is the attention to detail in every ingredient. You can tell that thought and care go into each topping and flavor combo. Everything tastes fresh, balanced, and just plain delicious. One small critique: the dip we ordered came with focaccia bread that didn't quite hold up. The dip itself was rich and flavorful, but the bread was a little too floppy and didn't support the heaviness of the dip. A firmer, crispier option might make a better pairing. Also, while the outdoor setup is casual and inviting, there were quite a few flies around when we visited--which took away from the overall experience a bit. Across from the main prep area, several trash cans are in full view, and while that might be part of the functional setup, it's not the most appetizing sight to see right next to where the food's being made. Just something to consider for future improvements. Overall though it's worth a visit. Great pizza, charming location, and a real sense of neighborhood character. Just a few tweaks away from perfection.

I'm from New York. Try it! It's the best I've had in the area after being here over 10 years. I'm mad it took me this long. Very intimate space. But the wait wasn't too long for 2 people on a Friday night. Again the reference in NY pizza and this come pretty freaking close. The crunch sent me to heaven and the creaminess...again just try it for yourself.

Place is small yet big at the same time as they make the most of the space. Neighborhood eatery vibes. We arrived and it was packed but wait was only about 15 minutes after they told us might be up to 30 minutes so they move quick. Ordered the Stracci and added pepperoni to it . Grabbed Brussels sprouts and couple of drinks. Everything was great might have taken the spot as number 1 pizza place in the DMV for us. Flavor was good but the way it was cooked that crunch delicious. They have a in house made cheese that taste great. Brussels could of use a little more crunch for me but still had great flavor. Both enjoyed our drink

I was excited to try this place and a few of us friends decided to check it out. We came on a weeknight at 6 and had to wait for 30 mins to be sat. The inside restaurant itself is loud, to a point where you have to yell to talk to those across the table from you. The pizza is very bready, just so much bread! I got the stracci bianca and that one I think was the worst one because it was just bread and stracciatella cheese. The johnny za za that my friend got was certainly better. Now the star of the show was definitely dessert--that tiramisu is to die for! Very perfectly balanced with just the right about of sweetness. I think next time I would just come back for this. The service was also not the best. In the middle of our meal we were asked if want boxes. On multiple occasions we were rushed and felt like they wanted us to leave. I understand if there's a long wait for others to get tables but there were completely empty tables at this point.

The bone marrow & black truffle was sooo worth the money. It was perfectly fresh, crispy and melts in your mouth. This is 100% 5 star pizza and so worth ordering!! Love Stracci!

Free parking Hot, fresh food Fast service Amazing customer service We went on a Sunday around 6:00 p.m. and were seated immediately--no wait at all. For appetizers, we ordered the chips and dip, which came with tortilla chips, plantains, mango salsa, guacamole, and dip. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and delicious. My only complaint is that the portions felt a little small for the price. We also ordered the spinach dip, and it was outstanding! It arrived piping hot in a cast-iron skillet and stayed hot the entire time we were eating it--a huge plus because spinach dip usually cools off quickly. The toasted, buttered bread that came with it was fresh and plentiful. Again, I just wish there had been a little more dip in the skillet. For our entrées, I had the Mojo Chicken, and my husband had the Grilled Chicken Alfredo. Both dishes were served hot, came out quickly, and were absolutely delicious. Birria Racos to go. Now let's talk about the drinks... Pineapple Mojito: 20/10! One of the best I've ever had. Limoncello Martini: 10/10! My husband ordered the Havana Puerto Rican Rum & Coke, and he said it was excellent. The waitstaff deserves a special shout-out. Every single person we encountered was friendly, attentive, and professional. We never had to ask for refills or anything we needed--they stayed on top of everything without being intrusive. Overall, this was an excellent dining experience. Aside from wishing the appetizer portions were a little larger, I have absolutely no complaints. Final Rating: 10/10 We'll definitely be adding this restaurant to our regular rotation! Sorry no pictures, my phone died and my husband refuse to take pics!

The restaurant is absolutely gorgeous, with warm, inviting décor and a quiet location just off the main drag--something we actually appreciated because it made for a more relaxed, charming experience. We lived in Old Town about 25 years ago, and it was amazing to see how much the area has grown. We started with the cast iron meatballs, and they were outstanding. The meatballs were tender and generously portioned, and the sauce was so good we didn't want to leave a drop behind. For lunch, we split the turkey club, which turned out to be the perfect choice because it was enormous!
