Steve and his company just completed installing shutters. I am thrilled and satisfied. I have 11 windows and took a few hours to install. Very professional, friendly, punctual. If I had a question STR would get back to me right away. I had three estimates and STR gave me the best quote. Home Depot was three times more. I felt very comfortable with Steve and his crew. Only thing I would add is it takes about six weeks to receive shutters. On the STR website there is a place to check status on shutters. Have any of you ever had a vendor make a mistake? Apparently STR Shutters isn't capable of making mistakes. When I came home to my newly installed shutter, not only was the color horribly wrong, but the width of the shutter didn't even reach the edge of the wall. When I reached out to STR Shutters, Steve greeted me with rude and unprofessional text messages. He didn't offer to resolve the matter. Rather, he simply said that it wasn't his fault! What am I to do now? Call another company and spend more money? I'm out $600, plus he isn't even willing to try to fix the problem that he caused. BUYER BEWARE!!! I really love my shutters! I'm super picky about the things I purchase. I was hesitant to purchase them, because I bought some shutters at home depot 10 years ago and they were expensive. My wife wanted to replace the mini-blinds in our two upstairs front bedrooms with shutters. Found STR Shutters on Yelp and was impressed with their high ratings. Called them for an estimate. They came out to measure and explain the type of shutter that would install. The quality of the shutters and price were good so we ordered them. They told us the shutters should be ready for installation within 5 weeks and told us we could track our order on their website.
