I entered into the fairly new Vitamin Shoppe, which is next to the Verizon Wireless store in the new shopping center in Gambrills. I wanted to check out a few vitamins that could improve my work out and health. I was greeted by the awesome manager, Sonya. She took time to find out what my vitamin needs are and she explained a few products that could possibly work for me. After asking me what I currently take and what I want to achieve with the vitamins, Sonya made her suggestions and urged me to check with my personal trainer and doctor for what I actually need. I've never had anyone literally walk me through a vitamin store and explain the products. Sonya even offered to write down the items she suggested so I can do some research before making my purchase. She was very personable, friendly and extremely helpful! I truly appreciate her taking the time to assist my vitamin needs and not try to sell me items that aren't necessary for me. He asks how I am since the previous session. Each of my sessions so far has been approximately 30 minutes in length. I had become accustomed to a 1-hour session and kinda miss that. I asked Hunter about his process as, my previous acupuncturist would place needles on my back, hand while here all pricks have been below the waist. So, I'm curious, if I tried another spot, what would be the differences there. Generally, I use acupuncture as one of my pain management systems; it works.

She was very attentive to my needs and wanting to assist in any way she could to treat the migraines I was having. The facility was very clean and calming. However, after several months she informed that my insurance had not covered her services. She did not go into much detail other than she would not able to service me anymore. I was not given the option of paying out of pocket. Once I contacted my insurance company, I found out that Dr. Hartley was not just BILLING for acupuncture; she was billing for Physical Therapy too. I thought she had just put in the wrong insurance code. However, when I spoke to her she told me she did not put in the wrong billing code she billed for Physical Therapy because she moved some of my needles around during her services. She also kept stating that my insurance could get her for insurance fraud because my husband called to inquired why acupuncture was not covered. In the six month I went to her she only moved needles the last time and she is NOT A LICENSCED PHYSICAL THERAPIST. Dr. Hartley was professional until, I contacted my insurance company. She has taken money using a credit card on file to bill for the money my insurance recouped from her. She never sent a bill or called me to give me a chance to pay her back. When I called to inquire about the money she took from my credit card she ignored my called. I would stay clear of her because you or your insurance may be paying for more than she is licensed to do.

My Internist suggested years ago that I try acupuncture, but I was very skeptical and didn't listen - until February of this year. After growing extremely tired of doctor visits, extremely painful cortisone injections and multiple medications, I decided to give it a shot and go to Golden Key in Crofton. I cannot tell you how happy I am that I did! The acupuncturist Tammy is incredibly knowledgeable, insightful, caring and has the greatest "bedside" manner I have ever come across. She actually listens to what you tell her, "listens" to how your body is responding and plans her treatment accordingly. She is actually diligent in her quest to heal! Since being under her care, I have been able to decrease and/or stop most of my medications, I can actually walk in my shoes without limping and have actually been able to sleep more soundly than I have in years. When I walk out of her office, I feel like a million dollars. I have been a regular (weekly to bi-weekly) patient for five months now and can state that every treatment has truly been beneficial as well as very calming. I cannot rave enough about her. (As a regular exerciser, I cannot even express to you how great the cupping has been in relieving the tightness and knots in my calves!) I consider her a God Send. I would strongly advise anyone having any kind of health issues to seek treatment from her. You will never be sorry!
