I don't believe in psychics, but in January, while meeting a friend for brunch near Mrs. White's in Georgetown, I decided to walk in. Mrs. White has been a Georgetown staple for years, and January had been a difficult month. Although I'm a firm believer in God, I was vulnerable and wanted reassurance that leaving a relationship was the right decision. I walked in weary and walked out genuinely stunned. Mrs. White immediately identified the toxic nature of the relationship. She said not even the truth could pull me away because he presented himself as a gift. She said I was the gift and all his friends knew this and constantly validated this to him. Said he had never been this in love with anyone but that his pride, arrogance and stubbornness would be his greatest regret. There is no way she could have known the details she shared: She said he lied about his age, that was true. She said the women who wouldn't let him go, even knowing about me, were missing a father figure and that explained a lot. She said his friendships with women crossed boundaries, which is exactly why I left. She also said his friendship with the fatherless and estranged mother was the demise of our relationship. This was also true. She said the fact that he had never been married and had no children at his age should have been a red flag and in hindsight, she wasn't wrong. Then she mentioned something that truly shocked me: she said an older woman with a boat had once mistaken me for his daughter. That moment actually happened, a lady approached us and asked if I was his daughter. Mrs. White said that was the universe showing me the age gap was too large. The fact that she referenced the boat and that this exact situation occurred was jaw‑dropping. She also said his female friend with "wounds" would take me to court, and that time would allow the fool to flee. At the time, I dismissed it. Fast‑forward to April it unfolded exactly as she described. Mrs. White also said he had been texting another woman, apologizing for not being able to meet but suggesting they could at least get drinks. She said their relationship was more than the "one meal a year" story he told me. I already knew this because I had read the message myself, but hearing her say, "You saw the things he hid and you still stayed," hit differently. She said time would reveal the truth and it has. She even told me his mother had recently passed, that was true. Incredible to hear all this from her and she was a complete stranger until that day! I didn't walk in looking for magic. I walked in looking for clarity. And somehow, she spoke directly to the truth I had been avoiding. There is no way she could have known all the times I caught him in his lies, yet she listed them one by one. She even said, "I'm not the first to tell you these things you knew in real time." And she was right. I caught him every single time without prying or snooping. This experience was remarkable. Worth every penny. For those who don't believe, I understand but the clarity this brought into my life was invaluable. She also offers a selection of crystals and other items. Sage to clear the bad aura of people! Candles, everything is cute in there! I'm not a believer in all psychics, but Mrs. White? I believe in. There is simply no way she could have known this much detail. Don't waste your money here. The lady is very unfriendly and seems primarily interested in taking your money. I was disappointed with my reading; it felt generic, and many of the predictions were vague and inaccurate. It didn't feel a genuine connection, and most of the information could have applied to almost anyone. Unfortunately, the session did not provide the clarity or insight I was hoping for. I went to the Chakra Room for a reading and Chakra Balancing session at the first of the year. The store is quaint but very warm + welcoming in Georgetown. The chakra balancing session consisted of an energy fine tuning with a guided mediation and crystal healing. I left feeling like a dam had been unblocked with energy flowing freely within my aura. Mrs. White is incredible in her craft. She reads energy (and tarot) very well and I highly recommend her services. When I first met with Mrs. White on June 8th - I was assured that the initial session would be complimentary and the payment would be for future work - for the 7 day chakra healing session and all necessary materials. This was to begin when I returned from travel on June 12th. She could not see me until June 14th. However, during my subsequent meeting on June 14th - Mrs. White Sr. began another complimentary session and Mrs. White Jr left. The originally agreed-upon amount was renegotiated to a higher amount, an additional $800 to "rent a crystal." She reiterated that her session was complimentary and that I could walk away if I didn't trust or believe her. Our session Mrs. White Sr. worked to get me into an alarmed and distressed state - being told I had a demonic attachment. She got me to sob my eyes out for an hour and then coerced me into renegotiating my agreed upon amount and that it did not cover what was needed and that it had to be resolved immediately. This experience left me extremely frightened, paranoid, and anxious. That following Tuesday I had therapy and my therapist had to diagnose that I had entered into a religious psychosis and that what occurred was a scam. I have requested a refund for the prepaid sessions and program, as I no longer wish to begin a program with any meditations, cleansings, or sessions. They have stopped responding. This experience was a HUGE disappointment. I emailed and made an appointment a week ahead for readings for my friend and me (it was her birthday). The appointment was confirmed. Today, they texted me and said due to the holiday weekend, they were running behind, so they asked us to come at 5 pm instead of 4 pm. We drove into DC and arrived around 4:40, so we enjoyed coffee next door (Corridor Coffee is a cute place). I texted that we were next door, and they replied that she was finishing with a prior client so to come at 5. So we left the coffee shop at 5 and rang her bell at 5:05. No answer. There is a phone number on the door to call if they do not answer the door, so I called that and reached a voice mail. We stood on the front steps in 90 degree weather for another 15 minutes and then texted that we would be late for a dinner reservation, so we finally left, because they did not respond. Mary White certainly knows her stuff. I gave her very little information about myself before the half deck tarot card reading. She read my cards and it seemed like everything she had to say was what the stars have aligned. Mary knew things I did not volunteer to her, and just wow.
