The Stoyko Tree Service came into my year and cut down two trees, one 30 foot maple tree. I had not asked them to do this. When I contacted them about their mistake, they became very defensive, saying 1: I didn't need that tall of a tree in my yard; 2: the tree was in a common area, which it wasn't.
I told him that I had call several nurseries and had research the value of my trees. I felt a payment of $1,000 would be more than generous. He said he would put in a small tree if I wanted. A small tree would take 15 years to provide the shade that my destroyed tree had provided. I probably won't be in this home in 15 years. When I declined his suggestion, He
told me to sue him.
