This business no longer exists . Real shame, too, as they were very good at what they offered, both store and service.

Exceptional Service! After having committed to purchase a fireplace insert from another company in…read moreChittenden county VT., I discovered that the company was unable to offer a chimney inspection and cleaning before installing the unit. In order to make sure my chimney was safe for install I contacted several sweep Companies. Northeastern not only was the first to respond but they were able to schedule service at a very reasonable price within four days of my contact. The team that responded was meticulous and professional and even agreed to do an additional inspection and cleaning of a second flue in the building on the spot for only a nominal additional charge. Back at the office, Dillion the manager also invested considerable time and effort in helping me consider other available insert options that might be available through Northeastern should I change my mind on the first option. While I decided the original insert was still my best choice, based on the exceptional service Northeastern demonstrated, I chose to have them handle the install and I was not disappointed. The install team not only picked up the unit, an exceptionally heavy one weighing in at almost 600 Lbs from the other retailer, but as a team of only two moved it up over a set of stairs and into its final location. In conclusion I would recommend this company highly to anyone seeking chimney services and will continue to use them in the future for not only routine inspection and maintenance services but any other that is needed!

After collecting $250 for the service call, we were told he had other calls to go on and could not stay for a half hour 45 minutes to see if the fire place would stay lit after he secured the glass to some latches, saying maybe it was because of a air leak. When we called to let him know the fireplace still was not staying lit. He said it was probably the valve. Never bothered coming back to investigate further. Just said they no longer make Lenox Valves. The problem was the fireplace sensors connections just needed a good cleaning. Definitely a money grab business looking to sell a new fireplace for the tune of $6,000.

A year or so ago we learned it was because the unit they sold us was WAY too large for the space, so the fires we were burning were not hot enough to keep the glass relatively free of soot. We called and told them, suggesting they might swap ours out for a similarly valued used one the correct size, but they didn't respond. A few months later our follow up email received the same silence. We ended up buying fire bricks to fill enough space in it to allow us to burn smaller, hotter fires without overheating the room. It helped, but we still have to do more glass cleaning than we should and ended up spending more money on the larger unit than we needed to. Note: I will update this review if and when they make an effort to help us out.

A very personalized experience. When we shared our vision to Cecil, Dan and Meg about the style of home we were looking to build. They truly brought it to life. Through the time that it took to build the home, it came together piece by piece. In the end, it is exactly what we wanted. Dan is an amazing Project Manager and knew when he had to conversations about challenges with the project. He is honest, fair, most of all transparent. He stands by the work his team does every day and I would as well! Communication with him was wonderful and he was always available. Building a home is one of the most challenging things we've done in our lives and I am grateful for so many things that I learned and that Dan taught me. Thank you for our amazing and forever home!

I had to baby sit the entire project, even demand the stop at certain time because of mistakes and corners cut. I had to force them to reschedule pouring the concrete slab because there was frost and frozen dirt. They rented a portable radiant heat system to warm up the ground and it sunk 2-3 feet in the corners! Can you image what that would have done to my concrete radiant slab? I was told they do this on jobs all the time...Great! We caught them trying to charge us for the diesel used for the portable heater. I am NOT paying for your mistakes. My wife also caught them trying to charge us for 4 toilets, we have 2 bathrooms. We had to go through the bills with a fine tooth comb, they had tons of items from other projects on our bill. The project finished 6 months after we were told it would be finished. Since completion, I have had to hire other companies to fix everything that is going wrong. Gas stove incorrectly installed and set off carbon monoxide detectors on our first night in the house. I had to have an exterior door completely reinstalled because they left gaps in the wall and covered it with trim. Less than 6 months in and the dry wall seams are starting to show. The list goes on and on and I don't have enough room to list it all. I was told by most of the workers that they were not getting paid for work they had done months ago. I am not sure how they are still in business. Saratoga would be a better place with Cecil the weasel behind bars! Complete crook with no concern for his clients. Once her gets his checks from the bank you will NEVER see him on site again...
