I see how laid back Hannon Home Center is and the inventory they stock and the service they provide and it leaves me scratching my head why people deal with the big box stores. Bill Galdi, owner of The Wall Doctor, a local wallpaper, curtain and blinds retailer, is phenomenal…read moreto work with. He has an eye for detail and will help you decorate your home within your budget. As I'd just bought a home, I needed window treatments, as there were none and I didn't want to live in a fishbowl, with the outside world having full access (especially when I was in the shower!). I wanted to be able to see my picturesque views while still maintaining privacy, mostly at night. Bill was referred to me by a good friend whose homes have all been decorated with his skill. The store is cozy and the staff are great. Kathi greeted me warmly and answered all my questions, showed me multiple offerings: what kinds of blinds did I want, how did I want them to work, etc. I chose the kind that close either up or down so you can have partial views when you want, but utmost privacy. I made an appointment for Bill to come and give me a free consultation at my home. He helped me determine the best treatments for my windows, including colors. He could have pushed for the most expensive, but he did not. Pleased with the offerings and estimate, I paid my down payment and waited eagerly for my new blinds to arrive in 6-8 weeks (due to the pandemic). Once they arrived, Bill had all of the blinds installed in no time. He did all three floors in under 2.5 hours. He made sure I understood how they worked and answered any questions I had before leaving. I am beyond thrilled with the work that he did. I would call him in a heartbeat were I to ever need his services again.

The back was buckled, drawers moved poorly, veneer on the sides was cracking and buckling off. They did such a beautiful restoration job. The chests gleam, the drawers move smoothly, the wood is a joy to touch, the veneer carefully bolstered. They kept to the original wood as much as possible, adding small pieces where there were gaps in drawer bottoms or where shims were needed. They made the right choice in choosing not to refinish the hidden face of the bottom chest, protecting records inked into the wood by and about the original purchaser. We'll definitely bring other antiques we inherited to the brothers, and highly recommend their work to others.

I ordered a beautiful Hutch online that cost over $3000. It was my combined birthday/Christmas…read moregift from my husband. The delivery was curbside drop off. This item was not in stock so I knew I would be waiting a few months to get it. I was out of town when the call came that it was ready to be delivered. I instructed my husband to look it over before signing off with the delivery guy. When it came, my husband looked it over. Looked at the one installed shelf that was covered in protective wrap and did not see any scratches. He looked at the other shelves and there was no noticeable damage. This unit is massive and the delivery guy told my husband to look quickly because he had to go. It took 3 men to get it into our house. The delivery guy was not going to wait for all of this and told my husband to sign and he went on his way. This item was not damaged by us or the delivery. When I got back in town and started putting the shelves in I started to notice the top shelf, which is attached to the metal sides of the hutch, looked a little bowed. When I put the other shelves in, it became obviously clear that the top shelf was installed too tightly or not cut down enough. If you put a level on the shelf the middle part of the shelf does not touch the level. It is definitely noticeable when looking at the hutch. When I I contacted Addison West, they said they would contact the manufacturer. After a few back-and-forths she offered me $300 so that I could fix the shelf myself. I explained that it is not fixable because it is attached to the side and doing so would damage the unit. She informed me that when we signed off for it with the delivery man that we accepted it. I told her the hutch wasn't damaged, it was a lemon. That's a manufacturer messed up and they should never have sent it to us in the first place. There was no damage, it was just not built correctly and that the "damage" could not be noticed until you started putting the other shelves into the unit. Now she offered $400. No exchange of the unit and we are stuck with this expensive hutch. That is not as advertised. I think this is poor business practice, and would never use this company again.
