He has always been fair with his prices and will not snow you into thinking something needs replaced if it doesn't. My transmission was giving me problems. I took it to Sal and he said let me try something first before we look at a new or rebuilt transmission. That was about 4/5 years ago. He has kept my 2004 Truck running. My clutch failed last night on the Parkway and luckily I was able to get it into 2nd gear and hobble home. I call Big A's at 7am telling them that my clutch needs to be replaced and that a flatbed would drop it off if they could fix it. They said the could fix it. Fast forward, I get a call from the mechanic that the car won't start...duh it's a manual and you have to engage the clutch to start the vehicle and the clutch is gone. We went back and forth about it not being the starter and it's definitely the clutch. I told them to replace the starter and when it doesn't start because of the clutch I'll thank you for the free starter. After a heated conversation he finally said that he couldn't fix it and that they aren't equipped to do a clutch. I will never go there for anything, not even a light bulb. The owner agreed to pay for my tow to Samsone Jeep, somewhere who knows what's up. My question to Big A's also was if you were able to start the vehicle by chance, how would you move it?
