Immaculate vibes and views of Amsterdam for dinner. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. Sea bass was very well cooked along with the Vongole. Highly recommend for a seafood lover! Would recommend making a reservation. Was patio only when we went. Luckily made reservations so wait time was not long. Food did take some time to come out and presentation was not the tidiest.

I am a vegetarian and I had a delicious dinner! I had truffle rissotini and the vegetarian dish with sunchokes, mushrooms, etc. my friend ordered the snow crab and artichoke. Delicious flavors. Great service and nice ambiance!

On the north side of the ij overlooking the water. Located behind Jumbo. Large open space with a bar and outdoor dining. The Stork specializes in fish. Service was provided by an attentive young man with excellent english. Food was very good and portions were appropriate. Our group had appetizers of Fish Cakes (not worth it) not bad, just nothing special. In addition we had pasta with clams (vongole) the smoked fish and the fish of the day as well as the lobster bisque. All prepared well and tasty. Downsides: menu seemed a little limited on main courses. Fish cakes were pre-prepared and deep fried. Would definitely return. Short walk from Holiday Inn Noord.

If you like seafood and a nice view, you will definitely like this place. But who doesn't?? I'm not a fan of sea food and I had a great time here yesterday. They have some main courses that are not seafood and might have meat or pork, but don't bother. They are not nice and you shouldn't expect a sea food restaurant to have nice pork. I had the tiger shrimp for a starter and although I didn't really eat it (shrimp was staring into my soul) other people on my table had it and they said it was delicious. For a main course I had the fish and chips and I was soooo glad I did! I originally ordered a chicken meal they had but I changed my mind once I saw someone else eating the fish and chips! The waiter was a sweetheart and didn't let me know how annoying I am for changing my main course after having ordered it lol The fish and chips they serve are soooo good! The fries were nice and fresh, the fish was super delicious and crunchy (let me remind you I do not like fish ~most of the time~) and the sauce was divine! It also comes with some salad but ain't nobody got time for that. They made me a custom dessert with no dairy and plenty of fruit and a lemon sobert. The other options looked divine and everyone on my table enjoyed them. Specially the creme brulee. The view is amazing, you can see central station and the boats coming, and a bit of zeeburg. It's right by the water and they have plenty of space for parking. (Huge plus in my book) They have plenty of seating outside, with tables with couches, picknick tables (don't sit there unless you are only going for a bite, your back will thank you), and the inside area is huge! The place used to be a factory so the amount of space is massive, no elbow rubbing! Giving it 5 stars because they made me like fish and he service was great although the food took a while, but it was so worth it!

Great outdoor place by the water with great food...what else do you need on a sunny Amsterdam afternoon. I loved it. We went during the afternoon and they have a huge outdoor patio - so plenty of place to sit in the sun and the patio is right by the water and its quite beautiful. We ended up being here until late evening and its quite pretty in the evening with the little lights...Could be a good dinner date spot.. The food was great and very fresh - We tried the oysters and the seafood platter - very good. The drinks were good too - the mojito, gin and tonic, decent wine selection and great scorpinos (loved em)! And I have to say that the service here is definitely better than most of the places in amsterdam. So, I'm definitely going back here, this summer........

The place is a former factory very nicely turned into a classy, design, cool restaurant. Walls, lamps, tables setting, the island bar, the lights all is just amazingly beautiful. And the view on Amsterdam by night awesome. Should be listed in design magazines. The service is also nice. I would say the food is just a tad below the setting, nicely presented, served, but lacking a bit of something to make the experience completely amazing. A bit pricey too.

I have to admit we haven't had dinner there. We had a nice "borrel" which, if I understood well, is kind of an after dinner aperitivo with food. As we didn't know that and thought we would have dinner (8 pm is a good time for that in Brussels), we were very happy to welcome (again and again) the waiters swirling around with plates of nice mackerel "feuilleté" and delicious salmon wraps. This place is really magical! The view is amazing, as you can see all kinds of ships passing by (we would have gladly jumped aboard some of them). The waiters are very nice. The wine we had very good. Overall, very good impression...magic Amsterdam!

I was sooo disappointed. I have been by this restaurant many times. I love the fun, casual vibe. The location on the river watching boats, tugs, cruise ships, and river boat cruise ships on a beautiful sunny day looked ideal. The seafood menu looked fabulous-daily, fresh, and seasonal. Located behind Jumbo and they have ample parking. I had lunch at Stork today. There was almost as many staff working as customers. My waitress was awful. Forgot items, no follow-up, and never checked on me.... I ordered the crab burger (Krabburger) which was also ordered by the other guests around me. The delicacy and sweetness of the crab was lost in the sandwich because it was overwhelmed by the herbs. The beautiful side salad was overwhelmed by the strong tarragon in the Green Goddess dressing. I asked for ketchup or curry ketchup (I don't like mayo with fries) with my Friesth. The waitress never brought it. Much later, she came by the table and said, "I forgot your ketchup." She still didn't bring me any ketchup. The waitress never checked on after that point. She didn't even bring the check. Meal presentation was nice. The fresh juices looked good. I had friends going to Restaurant Stork for dinner tonight. I hope their experience was more positive. www.restaurantstork.nl

When you walk in, you're greeted by their in-house fish market, where everything is visibly fresh and beautifully displayed. You simply choose the fish or shellfish you want, they assemble your order, print a ticket, and you continue on to the wine shop. Before going any further, I want to highlight how impressive the fish market is. It feels almost like stepping into a wholesale seafood market, complete with checker-tape pricing. The staff will tell you exactly how each item can be prepared. For example, when we ordered a dozen mussels, they explained all the options and recommended a coconut curry preparation--an excellent choice and absolutely delicious. Once you have your ticket, you head into the wine bar. The team already knows how your meal will be prepared and offers thoughtful wine-pairing suggestions based on your selections. From there, you're taken to your table, where the outstanding service continues. We were served a beautiful basket of fresh bread almost immediately, along with our chosen wine. By the way, did I mention how beautiful the place is! For starters, I ordered a dozen oysters, and each pair was prepared in a different style. Every single one was outstanding. The mussels in curry sauce were so good that I needed extra bread just to savor every drop. Finally, we had monkfish--an impressively large piece, perfectly cooked, beautifully presented, and absolutely incredible. From start to finish, the entire experience was exceptional. The team at Pesca, and truly the people of the Netherlands, know how to do it right. Hats off to this outstanding restaurant. I only wish we had one where I live--I'd be there every day. Actually, it would be dangerous to have Pesca too close...I'd go bankrupt:)

We had originally booked the Damrak 213 location but had to cancel due to a flight delay. Determined to make the most of our short time before heading to Paris the next morning, I chose this location because it was close to the areas we wanted to explore after dinner -- and I'm so glad I did. After reading on their website that they keep tables available for walk-ins at most locations, we decided to try our luck. As soon as my best friend and I walked in, we were not disappointed. The ambiance felt right immediately -- warm, inviting, and full of good energy. There was little to no wait, and the fresh seafood display at the front looked incredible. Vanessa was our lovely server and truly a whole vibe throughout the evening. She, along with "Mr. Champion," gave us great suggestions on where to walk and explore next -- and we absolutely took their advice. I love a menu where you can order and split a little bit of everything with a friend, and every single dish was perfection. The shrimp croquettes, king prawns, asparagus, roasted carrots, and fish and chips (kibbeling) were all served hot, fresh, and packed with flavor at a very reasonable price. The kitchen was run by a Black chef who was clearly putting in serious work and completely understanding the assignment. I wanted to personally commend him, but he was fully locked in and busy creating magic. Even the espresso martini stood out -- easily one of the best I've had. Great, relatable conversations, amazing food, and the evening ended on a sweet note with a complimentary lemon crème brûlée served with sparkles. This spot is truly a neighborhood gem. I'm so glad we chose this location -- it turned a rushed travel day into a memorable night dining with some true champions. We can't wait to return with more time to fully enjoy the experience.

Everything, from getting a drink to ordering food, felt like a struggle, and the staff didn't make me feel welcome at all. The food was okay--I've had better--but the overall experience left me feeling unwelcome, and I couldn't wait to leave. I'm genuinely surprised by the high reviews, because I felt quite the opposite. Not only that, he said it was the time of year for fresh, great tasting herring. So after building up an appetite during our tour, we walked straight to Rob Wigboldus Vishandel. At the counter, I asked for a menu but the friendly older gentleman (possibly the owner) replied saying we probably wanted the herring sandwich, so we went with his suggestion. It's a very small place - we were lucky to grab a table while we waited. It didn't take long though, the sandwiches are very simply made: fresh herring, chopped onions, and pickles. That's it. I'm not going to lie, I was not expecting to really like this fishy sandwich, but when in Rome ... And guess what? It was delicious! Herring is naturally oily and mild-tasting! But we knew we had to try it, and life is short. It is a tiny stand located along a central canal in the heart of the city. Business is hopping here. It has somewhat of a gelatinous texture that can be off-putting, but when you take a bite with the sides of sweet pickles and onions, it shines. The Kibbeling was out of this world. Perfectly fried with a crunchy batter that had a hint of, hmmm, curry, maybe. It was amazing. Although the batter was thick and tasty, it didn't outdo the delicious cod.
