Looks great at first... they get you in with the 3 half of months or some really good deal. Than after the deal every 4 month or so your bill will go up 20$ until it's way way higher than anything else even in the area. This business tactic is extremely disgusting. And I will be looking for a more genuine honest company to work with. On a positive. These facilities tend to be the cleaner storage units. So no rodents atleast. read more

I feel bad leaving a poor review, because I was warned and rented a storage space despite being warned. BUT...I rented a storage space a few months ago for $161.00/month. I was told by two customers to enjoy that price while I can because they notoriously raise prices randomly. Sure enough, I just received notice that the rate for my storage unit increased...to $212.00/month (to be in line with "market conditions"). That's not an insignificant increase. That's an increase of over $50.00/month! For what? So...be warned (like I was) before you rent here. They WILL increase your rent randomly and significantly. read more

Best storage in town. Fair prices, amazing manager, very well maintained. It's the best. Store here.

This place is new, clean, and well-lit. But the customer service is abysmal. They are incredibly inhospitable. A non-profit that I volunteer with rented a large space there to store large quantities of new household items (cleaning supplies, kitchen supplies, and bedding) that had been donated. The non-profit helps get people in transition - families, persons fleeing DV, homeless - into homes. They have housed hundreds of people in the Sacramento area in the last few months. The items in the storage unit needed to be sorted into bags/boxes according to household, to be able to be delivered. That meant that once every couple of weeks, we would have about 6-8 people come for a few hours to either unload more items, sort and organize the items, or take away items to designated recipients. More than once, the management there complained that we had "too many people" in the unit, which was not allowed (as if we were living there and throwing parties!). The non-profit finally had enough of the harassment and decided to move everything out today. When I went to the front office to tell them why we were terminating the lease, not only were they not apologetic or concerned, but they first questioned my claim "did anyone actually say that to you?"and then they doubled down on the "too many people" argument, suggesting that we took up too many parking spaces there. Again, each time we were there, it was for no more than 2-3 hours (including today). I have never seen other customers there when we were there such that we would be taking up too much parking. What a lousy business model - harassing quality tenants who are performing a valuable community service. read more

I have been a customer here for the past few years and they provide such great customer service! I never have any trouble accessing my storage unit and if I ever have a question they are just a phone call away. Great location too and always plenty of parking. read more

Horrible customer service. The alarm on their van in their parking lot has been going off for 5 hours and I have already called twice and no one has been able to turn it off. So inconsiderate given that this is a residential area. read more

East sac now has there clientele sleeping on the premises now and as usual they continue to have access to entire property and have been known to break into travel trailers and trash/steal all that isn't bolted down not to mention the restrooms being used as their personal washing up area. I have bought many a product from them in the past for the convenience of it being across the street from my residence read more

UPDATED: Yes we ended up renting from East Sac because of convenience but I was pissed. That wore off with the fact that this is the cleanest storage business around, it's thankfully very climate controlled and the staff have been responsive and kind. I was just told today about the managers response on Yelp and I am beyond moved. Since we rented our unit we have been onsite a lot. It's always been clean and monitored. Oh, and management goes the extra mile to make it right. Thank you! So disappointed. I rented from these guys about five years ago. They were convenient and clean and I paid extra for those perks. We are now in need of a unit to move stuff while buying another house. We went into the office last week and were told we should just wait to get the unit on the day we are actually moving stuff. We cleared our calendar. Hired a babysitter. Preloaded and packed the van and headed to East Sac self storage. We were met with a sign that they were closed for the day. I get emergencies, but you're running a business. I find it hard to believe they don't employ enough people that someone could get out of bed on a Sunday and run the desk. We our money and time. This totally screwed our Sunday. read more

Had my Motorhome there for years. Was broken into. Bums were living in it. They up their fees for "security" but failed to mention it doesn't actually exist. Windows broken. Rats had overtaken it, chewed all the wires. What I put my heart into and loved was worthless and destroyed by time I got it. Management and owner didn't care. Didn't return calls. Took no responsibility. STAY AWAY read more

I was very impressed with Johns knowledge and the professional way he moved our little house. I highly recommend him.

Very Thankful to East Sac Self Storage for their donation to Sacramento Self-Help Housing, non-profit here in Sacramento that serves the homeless community. Customer Service has been awesome and the people are pleasant to work with. Most importantly, the facility is clean, secure, and safe. Thank you so so much. Look forward to continuing to work together and serve our community. read more

Super clean, easily picked up the rental truck, and had no issues dropping off the keys. The woman at the counter was super friendly and we exchanged some good jokes. We were in and out with a rental truck within 20 minutes. Dropping off was a breeze. We locked the truck and put the keys in a slot. No hassle, no mess. The facility itself was spotless, easy to navigate, and easy to get in/out of. Price was cheap for renting. I will absolutely use this place again. read more

Not sure why the dead rodent smell has worsened. Guessing that the rat traps aren't being emptied on a regular basis. Or that the management is using poison, which means the rats are dying in inaccessible places. Concerned that the nauseating smell will get into my belongings since the storage locker has a completely open chicken wire-like ceiling. read more

Liz the manager that I have spoken to was a great help when I was in need of a 10x14 indoor unit she was very knowledgeable and took the stress away from a last-minute move. This was a great service and would recommend it to anyone. read more

Overall I've had a good experience with this place. The facilities are clean, the service was friendly. My one complaint is the hobo factor. There are definitely people living in units here. I guess a dollar is a dollar no matter where you get it. But it makes those of us who are legit a bit uneasy and I don't feel good taking my kid here. Yesterday we were moving some stuff over and a clearly homeless man INSIDE the facility asked my husband if he could have our globe. Uh, no?! Maybe it's just me but I don't like being panhandled at the same place where I store my life's belongings. read more

WOW! I have had a unit at this facility since about October and I have never been treated as poorly as I was today. I received a call indicating that my lock was not on my unit properly. I have not been at my unit since the beginning of March. The temporary attendant would not be more specific and ended the phone call. I called back (it took me calling five times within ten minutes before I was able to get him on the phone) and the attendant was able to decipher that the last time the door on my unit was opened was the same day that my personalized access code was also used. I asked why it took them over one month before they called me to notify me that my lock was on right and they guy lost it on the phone and actually began yelling at me that it was my duty to put my lock on correctly. It may be my duty to put the lock on properly but I should have known THAT SAME DAY that I did put my lock on wrong NOT OVER A MONTH LATER. This place claims to be the most secure facility in Sacramento, they should be walking the floor everyday. I really hope all of my stuff is still there tonight because I'm at work and I can't leave early. Oh yeah, even though I gave notice on the phone, consider this your 30-day notice that I am vacating your facility. read more

This storage facility states that they are open seven days a week and when you sign up and pay your money you are told there are carts. I moved into my unit on April 5. The roll up door closest to my unit, which is almost as far from the door as you can get, was broken, so I had to take my furniture even farther. The office was closed and had a sign saying that the office was closed for the day. There were no carts available. I guess they lock them in the office, which was not open. I called the number posted on the door twice and each time was assured I would receive a return call. That never happened. The person I just talked to said I had been called the next morning, but that is not true. Cell phones keep track of all calls. What a miserable experience. read more

Pros: Relatively easy loading/unloading w/carts available Overall Clean Air-Conditioned Units/hardware relatively new Cons: Very limited parking & narrow spaces Limited hours for access Excessive rent increases Management/Sales Tactics #baitandswitch Initially I gave this place a higher rating... but now feel I must warn potential new customers of my experience after just two months renting space here. I received a rate increase notice just shy of two months renting here. I assumed the rent would increase at some point, but not so soon and certainly not by an INCREASE of MORE THAN 35%. While initially impressed overall, I am very disappointed and will be looking elsewhere for a storage facility. This business clearly had the goal of just getting the space rented (to get the numbers up) and had every intention of raising the rent as quickly as possible. Based on my experience I would not recommend this business due to its shady sales tactics. read more

Great storage facility. One of the best operated and cleanest I've ever seen. I've been storing here for almost 5 years in several different sizes. Thanks Richard and Gwen are awesome. Always helpful. read more

Had a reservation for a rental truck for a few hours one day. Showed up to pick up the truck and stood around waiting about 15 minutes to even be acknowledged. Apparently only one person can work at a time because the man at the front was helping someone and a second man just sat behind a desk. As for the storage it seems like a new facility but given the crap customer service I'd go elsewhere. About the only positive I can see is that it is all interior storage. read more

Excellent service from Richard. Great prices especially for the location. Highly recommended especially for midtowners looking for a great close storage solution of various sizes! Makes me want to store my junk forever ;) read more

I rented a storage unit for about a year at this location. Good location, nice neighborhood. Nice loading dock and good dollys available for use. Clean, indoor facility, air conditioned, which is important when you are storing items that don't tolerate fluctuations in temp. Common areas reasonably well-lit. If you scan the ads you can get a deal on your unit, compare prices, they will match. I felt my belongings were secure. Parking lot is small, and the spaces are narrow and jammed together. Makes no sense in a place where people will be moving stuff in and out of their vehicles. The inside of the units are dim, no light directed inside them. The women's' room was unusable sometimes, it was so filthy. There was a guy a few units down from us who was clearly living in his unit. The administrative personnel are not the most professional; occasionally, aggressively rude. It must be hard to manage a facility like this. You get all kinds, and some shady activity, no doubt. But all I want is for me, my family members and my stuff to be treated with respect, and clean bathrooms and good light available on the rare occasions I must contend with my stuff. Added comment on 11-18-15: Thanks for the comment from the management. I try to be honest and not incur wrath from owners. Your comment is helpful to prospective customers and engenders goodwill. Thanks. read more

We recently moved into one of their biggest units ($180/mo for 3 months) and I'm a fan. I have not yet experienced any "bait and switch" but I took a promotional price and know the price may go up after 3 months. I'm surprised more people haven't written positive reviews for this storage facility because I have nothing but positive things to say about it! ***DO NOT RENT FROM THIS FACILITY*** I've been with this facility since they opened... and since then I've been broken in to, my rates have been raised and BTW I just found out that I'm paying more than new customers. I asked why? and they told me that they've been loosing customers so they lowered the rates to generate more business without lowering everybody else's. The only redeeming factor is Richard, who is a big help, but is stifled by the Management. I haven't even gotten a apology, so as of today I'm canceling doing business with them and I'll be looking elsewhere... someplace with some security. I'm not even a bit shocked that they're loosing business. read more

I must share how impressed I am with this place! We are new to the area and I needed a clean, safe place to store our things. Not only was I blown away with the brand new facility, I was so impressed by their nice and friendly staff. The facility is so modern and even has all units air conditioned (I am so excited about that with the hot Sacramento summers!) But they also have this killer temperature controlled WINE STORAGE! Overpriced on all the categories. Do your research and book elsewhere. They asked over a $100 a month to store stuff in a 5x5 locker and claimed it was due to the location and demand. read more

Horrendous. They raised the rental fee THREE times in the short time I've had a unit. Started at $91 now its at $131. I went into the office to ask some questions about getting a storage unit, and I was immediately greeted by Lorie at the desk. She was very nice and welcoming. When we talked about the cost of the unit, she even got me a discount! Customer service here is excellent! read more

Super disappointed. Go through all the paperwork to move our business storage unit and then go to pay with our business account credit card, which is an American Express card. And it says nowhere on their website or their Yelp page that they don't take American Express. #annoyed read more

Rented my unit in late May. I cannot believe how incredibly disorganized this company is!!!
