The building had a beautiful window and Joe seemed really nice but he made me uncomfortable because when he was showing me around his facility he always had a grin on his face and went out of his way to stand close enough to me that i could smell him. I ended up renting a space here for two months. After I dropped off my boat and trailer I went back the next day to get some things I forgot and when I got there the gate was left open. I drove in and Joe was inside my boat going through the drawers and all my things were spread out all over the place. He told me that I "left a light on" and that he was "just trying to turn if off." I took my trailer and boat home with me and I ended up taking it to Chinook RV storage in Portland off Marine Drive. Very professional people here, no weird employees wandering around and it was cheaper. Feel alot better about this place!

And there is no sign of stopping. I fully expect them to do it again in 6 months or less. They figure that it's too much hassle for people to switch units and that folks will just eat their crappy price increases. The sad thing is that they are probably right. They are receiving 3-stars because while the facility is kept clean and the staff are friendly, they raise the rates every Jan with only 30-day notice. I'd been with them 5 months and they raised my rate. I just received my second rate increase notice in the 1.5yrs I've been using their services. I'm pretty sure they used the same notification letter both times. I am looking at other storage facilities. At a time where everything is increasing in cost, this annual increase shows the value isn't in keeping customers.

They do have equipment to use to unload your vehicle/van/truck & teaches you to remember to shop around for other places as you experience their method of business. Con Operator is not always there during business hours. Have gone 2-3 days before payment was due to find doors locked DURING BUSINESS HOURS. Operator claimed they were into overtime and couldn't run the place. Once went here and note said "Out back working" went through the entire place (Even second story) and nowhere to be found. Yet there were two cars parked there.....Yeah, "working" right...... Prices are stuck and rising without notification. They are limited as to their amount of storage spaces. They can't increase them and thus, the prices go up. Went from $68 to $77 in one month with no warning. No discounts to speak of. Plus they use "Cylinder" locks. If you don't know the size of them, you end up paying 2X to 3X the normal price. Boxes also are excessively priced. Lesson learned, I've cleaned out my unit and left. On the bright side, I know they can't charge me for another month since I paid by card every month. Sometimes making it easy for them to charge you is making it easy for them to overcharge you also.
