Splash is local to me and easy to visit. They are OK. It is really hard to know when you're going…read moreto get a good wash at splash. They've been at this location for years and it is a "hand wash" operation with that means is occasionally the low spots on your car are missed and there was a big bumper dirt especially on the front to the back probably because the person washing didn't want to bend down that little extra the bit. However they do an excellent job with the massive vacuums sucking all the crap out of the rugs and in between the seats. they do a nice job when wipingdown the glass. For a few extra bucks so dress the tires and a bunch of other services that make the car look pretty. Whether it protects it or not is another story. Some friends have left the car there for longer details and they reported to me that it's a pretty decent job for the price. I think that in the ordinary wash, there is pressure to get the job done and sometimes things are missed.

They always did a good job before, but this time they even had trouble opening the hood. I'll have to investigate further. It's late on a Saturday, too late to do anything and I work late during the week. Hopefully my car won't break down. Update: the car stalled and started getting noisy. I checked the oil and there was none. It apparently all leaked out. The car was fine before the oil change. I had the car towed back to Splash and will be going there in the morning. Update: I went down the next morning and spoke with Elmer, the manager of the store that was on duty at the time and he took it into the bay immediately and found the problem was that the technician who did the oil change did not seat oil filter correctly so the oil was spraying out. He refunded me the price of the oil change and he's also asking me to provide the paperwork from the towing so that he could refund that cost. So everything worked out in the end and they have my faith back.

If you live nearby and can wash often, it can be a pretty good deal. You just have to be careful especially if you have an expensive car. They did scratch up one of my rims once and I've also seen thin lines marked up on the side of my car from their equipment. There was also a piece of cloth stuck to the side of my car near the wheel once which needed to be forcefully pulled out. They do a decent exterior wash even though it's rediculously short (about a minute, no joke). I've never had any issues with the staff except sometimes they may be short handed and there's a little bit of a wait.
