Please do yourselves a favor and move the home cleaning supplies and detergents away from the bakery section!!! When going over for a roll it smelt overwhelming and off putting. What could improve stop and shop is taking a parking space in every row and turning it into a cart return area. There are always 20+ carts all over the parking area, and with the wind, people will drive elsewhere instead of leaving their nice cars in the parking lot here. read more

I like that I can grab a handheld scanner and scan my groceries, put it in my bag as I go and when done just go to self check out and pay. My trips here are always so quick and hassle free. This place is disgusting, people regularly walking their dogs inside the store while shopping, clearly and obviously not service animals, just selfish people faking it. From what I've seen, management does absolutely nothing to discourage it, which is basically enabling it. I saw a dog urinate on the floor and the owners saw it and just kept walking with their dog and shopping. A giant supermarket in white plains that has the A TO Z OF supermarket stuff at prices that you can handle. Large outdoor parking lot that is steps from entrance, aisles are many and shelves are well stocked , good deli , fish , meat , produce depths and place is organized and cleaned . Took my time going from aisle to aisle and really filled my shopping Cart to the limit .many open cashiers and dont forget to use your stop and shop card for maximum savings. I spent about 90 bucks and got plenty for my money and now my fridge and kitchen cabinets will look full again . I never thought I'd use Stop & Shop's Pharmacy for my dog's prescriptions. And for almost a year now, I've been going into sticker shock. Been around the block too many times with too many pharmacies- to even count just to find a spot with the best cost-effective scripts for my dog. Monthly eye drops, syringes and a vial every 2-3 months of insulin to control my dog's diabetes, has run the gamut. But during one of my most recent Sunday grocery errands, made a quick detour. Passed the bread and ice cream aisles and went straight for Stop's Pharmacy to ask about pricing for 3 different eye drops for Fudge. Tony (Stop's Pharmacy Manager) was patient in answering all my questions and price point definitely seemed a whole lot better than CVS, Rite Aid, Walgreens, even Target. I've been loyal to CVS and didn't realize how much I'd be saving by coming here for my dog's scripts. Shopping around, does pay. And for now, Stop & Shop is just right for my pocket. read more

Beware sale items. Last two times I went I had to call someone over because sake price did not come up. Today the chicken on sale @.79 per lb came up incorrect. The helper said "it's not that one" even though showed her the digital coupon on my phone. Had to get another person involved to get the correct sale price. Honestly, my preferred grocery store would be Whole Foods or Trader Joe's but neither are as close to my house nor do they have free and easy parking. And so I ended up going to this grocery store, initially due to convenience. First off, they have a massive and free parking lot. And speaking of massive, this grocery store is overall just that, massive. They really have just about everything and that includes decently sized section dedicated specifically to organic food options. I also really like the fact that they have approximately five or six self-checkout machines. At the same time, those machines quite often cause Shoppers to run into problems - I often choose to check out in that way and anytime there is an error, staff member approaches the customer very swiftly. As for pricing, I definitely consider this store to have many affordable items. This is especially true if and when you have Stop & Shop Card /account. One thing I have come to notice is that items that are flagged with I yellow flag are not always indicative of the item being on sale. The yellow flag can either mean there is a sale, or it can mean that it's an "everyday low price." I'm really not sure if this is typical and across-the-board practice but in the vast majority of the sales, you do not have to buy the amount suggested. For example, if this sticker says the item is on sale 2 for $7, you can still buy just one at $3.50. Lastly, I am intrigued by the Peapod service they have which seems to be copycat of Fresh Direct. For myself, I can easily end up buying more then was on my list and that's because of all the good deals they have. To avoid that, I try to go there with a specific list and then shop just for those items, trying to ignore out of the other inexpensive items. read more

Standard shopping center. Park the car and walk on in for some grocery action! You do need a shoppers card to get the discounts, which is kind of annoying. This is one of the better stop and shops around. It for sure has everything you need. Located right off 287 in north white plains, it's convenient for people in white plains, Harrison and Valhalla to get to. Just about everyone from all the surrounding neighborhoods comes to this grocery store. They have everything you can possibly think of food wise. What I really like about it, is their healthy food section is easy to find and not grossly expensive like a lot of other stores. Today, 8/16/20 at 9:30 am, i was in Stop and Shop and younger man (25 to 30) comes in the wrong way and no mask. He was told by the stop and shop worker he was coming in the exit and he needed a mask to shop there. He totally paid no attention to her and had no regard for anyone but himself and came in anyway spreeing his germs into the air. I insisted they get the manager who seemed to be clueless. I'm a reverse commuter that's drawn to the increased variety and selection of Westchester grocery stores. However, I'm always disappointed when I visit this Stop & Shop. One continual hassle is hunt for handheld baskets every single time I visit the store. There are literally never any at the front entrance, even when the store's not busy. I've walked the entire length of the store on multiple occasions trying to find one. The store clearly doesn't have enough and needs to purchase more. Unlike many modern grocery stores, there isn't a whole lot in terms of prepared foods like soups, salads or sandwiches where you can grab a quick lunch or dinner while shppping. There are just counters for cold cuts, cold sandwiches, and seafood that can be purchased by the pound. If I want to stop in at lunch for a few items, I have to make a second stop to eat. The bakery also has minimal offerings, most of which appear to have been shipped in from offsite. As for the general grocery items, I am frequently unable to find basic items, even if I've purchased them before. Items like drink mixes, cheeses, snack bars, cereal, are shelved in multiple areas depending on brand. The worst is the cheese, where the "better" brands are on one wall, and the other brands are literally on the other side of the store. I've given up looking for items on multiple occasions and just left. The produce section is also disappointing and quite limited. I give Stop & Shop 2 stars because it's clean. read more

The produce has mold. There were bugs in the cherry tomatoes, squirming around a rotten and mushy tomato in the package. The meat looks gray even with current dates. Use this store as a 7-11 and only run in for one or two things. I wouldn't do my actual grocery shopping here ever again. read more

This Stop & Shop is actually a good grocery store. I have been to plenty of stop & shops and this one is definitely the best one. Clean.. good prices but the best part is the management. I had bought the wrong bread and without question they took it back the a few days later and just gave my money back. Also there was a wrong price listed on a orange juice and they just sold it to me for what I thought it originally was. Just moved to this area and I'm happy to have this grocery store so close!... also the stop & shop brand food is pretty damn good and much cheaper. read more

Stop & Shop seems to be the go-to grocery store chain in our area, and this Stop & Shop is my preferred location. They are usually better stocked than the one on Westchester Avenue and usually not as crowded with much easier parking. Clean, organized and usually a friendly staff who are willing to help you out if you're looking for something specific. I will tell you, though - the deli counter here is like the Twilight Zone. I have, on more than one occasion, stood with my number as the only patron while the staff is standing behind the counter paying zero attention to the fact that I'm waiting. Or sometimes they'll look right at people waiting and continue to clean their machines or chat. At least acknowledge your customer and let them know you'll be with them in a moment! Otherwise, for grocery stores in the WP area, it's the lesser of evils. Just don't be surprised about waiting 30 minutes for your cold cuts. read more

I have been using this pharmacy for as long as I can remember. All the pharmacist and most of the pharmacy technicians have always been such a help whether it was advice on an over the counter or if I had an issue with my insurance. I have never had a complaint until the last 3 times I have gone. Unaware if the new technician there is fresh out of school but there are no customer service skills there what so ever. If it is personal issues a bad day or whatever it is, it should not come behind the counter with you. When a person is coming to the pharmacy it's usually because they don't feel well so a nasty attitude and not even a smile doesn't help what so ever. I placed a catering order from their deli section for an event that I was hosting and couldn't be happier. I ordered a fruit platter and the Mediterranean platter. The presentation was amazing and all the food was fresh and tasty. I was running late and received a call from them telling me that the platters were ready. I use the scanner gun that lets you scan your items as you shop and when I'm ready to check out the process is quick and easy! Here are the positives: 1. The store is very clean 2. They have a great bakery section, which they recently updated. All kinds of special order occasion & theme cakes and they really do a fantastic job. 3. They have an expanded flower section with balloons and cards as soon as you walk in the door. You can even have them wrapped or put in a vase. It's pretty good for a grocery flower shop. 4. My cat food is cheaper here than at Petco or PetSmart. 5. Rotisserie chickens are off the hook. 6. Abatino's is right next door and their food is AMAZING. Here are the negatives: 1. The deli people begrudgingly help you as they walk around slow and aimlessly as if they were just cast for a zombie movie. If you try to circumvent the whole situation by using their kiosk and then pick up the order when you are through shopping, it will be wrong about 50% of the time. Also, with the kiosk you don't get the luxury of telling them how thin/thick you would like it cut. 2. Their produce is more MISS than hit. You can get better quality and less expensive produce at Trader Joe's, Apple Farm or H-Mart. 3. There is NO cart return area, so when you pull into the lot, half the time 25% of the parking spaces are taken up by shopping carts. 4. Their organic/health food section is ridiculously overpriced. The same loaf of sprout bread is $9.99 here and $3.99 at Trader Joe's. Pretty much anything organic is double the price here. 5. Plastic bags to bag your groceries seem to be a scarce commodity. I've been coming to this Stop and Shop for 8 years. I like it because its clean, close and they used to double your coupons. The last few years the customer service has lagged. Today a "grocery bagger" named Mario deliberately walked away as I walked up to the register, stood off to the side and magically "re-appeared" once the cashier and myself bagged my items. He had no problem chatting up the cashier but I guess he just didn't want to bag my groceries. It was in the 12 items or less register. Weird thing - he bagged the groceries of the customer before me and was ready, willing and appeared able to bag the groceries of the customer after me. Over the years I've dealt with the rude woman that works in the deli that wears glasses and always sports a baseball cap - she's very friendly to everyone but me it seems. Its because of her and a couple of others over the years that whenever I want cold cuts I use the machine to request my order. Another woman would bite my head off when the self-serve register would stop working and the light would start blinking. On those rare occasions when I would play the lottery, the customers service personnel act as though you are bothering them. I've always brushed these encounters off but Mario was the last straw and I wanted to tell him that when he looks at me, he should see green$, I'm sure the people at 1-800-767-7772 do. The bright star is a manager that I've seen walking through the aisles straightening the merchandise and saying "good morning" or "good afternoon" to anyone. For the most part, the staff is 50/50. The half that act as though they don't like working there just stand out at times. I learned a long time ago, as a teenager working in a supermarket, that if you ONLY want to be friendly to a select few then don't work in a supermarket. Sad thing is I'll continue to shop there because I can scan my groceries, use the machine to order cold cuts and its a clean store. read more
