I went to this Stop & Shop location on 1/6/2020 and was very disappointed. It used to be that I could get top quality produce and good deals on staple goods. I used to love this store. At this rate, it's going to end up dropping off of my chosen shopping venues. Here's the list of issues I encountered on my last trip: * Like most of the shopping venues in Brick, there are not enough handicapped parking spots to cover the peak hours. I was way out at the edge of the parking area and having to hobble along on a cane. Getting back to my car with my laden cart was exhausting after having to make my way through the whole store, sometimes circling trying to * There are only 2 weigh and label machines which aid in streamlining the Scan-It shopping experience in the produce department. Neither was functional. One had crashed completely. The other was out of paper. * The premade salad bowl rack was almost empty and about 15% of what WAS there was already expired with packaging bloating up as the food decayed. * There were many empty spaces in the produce department. I saw one worker restocking and he didn't seem to be in any hurry to get things out. When I mentioned that neither digital scale was working his answer was "I know. Out of paper." He made no effort to get someone into the section to fix it or take care of it himself. * I found multiple instances of moldy/liquifying fruits and vegetables in the display bins as well as spying fruit flies feasting on various things. * The soda aisle was very poorly stocked in regards to both store brands and those stocked by distributors. I had 2 items I needed from there, both store brand items. Only one was available and it wasn't stocked in the soda aisle. It was all on a pallet display at the front of the store. * There seemed to be issues throughout the store with expired perishable items being left on display. I ended up with an expired Bolthouse Farms smoothie that I now have to waste time exchanging. * Many of the sale items weren't available on the floor. Finding someone to ask about them was difficult. * I saw instances of regular prices being presented as sale prices. Supposed sale items sometimes cost more than their regular prices. It's gotten to where I no longer look at the sales without comparing prices or calculating the per-unit price. read more

I only come here if I need to pick something small up. To start, the parking lot is atrocious - over cramped with patrons walking in between moving cars. The food store itself is on the smaller side, and more pricey than shoprite. Employees are generally pretty friendly. The freezer section is always a mess and a lot of the items seem to have freezer burn. read more

Good for a standard grocery list. Their prepared food section is not as great and has fewer choices than some of the other newer supermarkets in out area, but the store is good for restocking the pantry and refrigerator. read more

I went to this store to buy two items I wanted the Flatout flat bread and also the Flatout pizza crust one . Searching the store was difficult because the flat breads are in one aisle, but it wasn't there and then you have to look in the deli area and spread yourself out there only to find out you don't have it. Next I tried looking for Mae Ploy Sweet Chili Sauce. Several attempts to locate that item but to no avail. I went all away down to the other side where the frozen food area was with a different flat bread in my cart and then saw the ready made frozen type on sale. So I could not carry that flatbread in my cart all the way back onto the other side of the deli area, so I had to place it near the checkout round rack because I was tired out and needed to check out. A woman passing snarled at me with a comment dressed in her crossing guard outfit because I didn't want to traverse all the way back over to the deli to return it. She took it in her hand and snarled with a nasty comment. So I have to say the check out woman was sweet, but the store needs a better placement of items, so someone older like me doesn't have to strain around the store to find something. That said the store needs an upgrade because it looks dark inside to me and I don't think I will be back to the store but I tried it out. read more

Came here and found expired food, they had expired wraps out in the bread section and only one option for wraps... the expired ones. they had piles of grocery items in the plastic containers that were not yet put on the shelves. Also tends to be pricier than the surrounding grocery stores in the area. read more

I recently ordered sandwich platters and a breakfast tray from Stop & Shop for the day of my daughter's wedding. We had the hair stylists and make up artists coming to my house and I knew we would need food for everyone. It was a great decision to order from them. Everything was excellent! I also ordered a tray of cream topped brownies. Delicious! read more

I shop here all the time. The people are friendly and pretty good selection. However, the 3 star rating is because the ice cream freezers are ALWAYS a disaster (freezer burned galore). I always ask the cashiers WHY, and they have no clue either. read more

Stop and turn down the AC son! That's the first thing I noticed as soon as I walked through the door here. Yeah, it was hot outside today (low 80s), but no need for it to be Ice Cold, Andre 3000 temperature in there...you got that ocean breeze factor! Nonetheless S&S (as my nana called it today) has cheap prices, helpful employees, and a cashier/bagger combination ensures no self checkout buffoonery. Came in from out of town to throw a party. We had custom cupcakes made in the bakery that turned out absolutely delicious and beautiful plus were a great price! We also had balloons blown up in the floral area and I wish I caught the name of the women who helped us but she really went the extra mile to make sure we were happy and had what we needed. Prices for the store are a bit higher than Shop Rite, but the customer service we received was wonderful! read more

Only go here when I need to as I only live a half mile away. They are more expensive then ShopRite, especially the deli. Whenever I get strawberries here they go bad very quickly. The self-serve checkout registers often have problems scanning certain items. Frozen food often is caked in ice, especially ice cream, which makes me wonder if it was left out to thaw while they unloaded the truck. And worst of all, I recently saw an employee take the bags out of two garbage cans and place them in a shopping cart that he removed from a stall in the parking lot. If a cart is to be used for this purpose, it should be one that is designated for that purpose only and a sign should be on it so customers do not use it. When I saw that, I got back in my car and went to ShopRite. That is a clear sign of poor training of their employees. If sanitation is not stressed in the handling of shopping carts, how can I be sure it is emphasized in the handling of food? read more

This is my go to store for groceries. I love the bakery department and cannot resist it every time I go. The deli department is good too and I like the wings that are ready to eat and the sandwiches also. Their fresh meats and fish are also good, and they sometimes have some pretty good sales. The workers there are very helpful and friendly, and the check out is normally not a problem and you can get out pretty quick. Not too crazy about their parking lot, but it beats the one at Shop Rite. read more

Desperation and time constraints are the only reason I go in this store. The checkout employees are rude. None say thank you or you're welcome. They simply mutter have a nice day and shove a receipt in your hand. The food selection is minimal and expensive. Seafood is over priced and not much to choose from. The deli staff is rude too. I called the deli yesterday to ask a question and as I said thank you to the deli person she hung up on me. The store is just old, boring, expensive and filled with negative people. I can't think of one positive review to add. But I do recommend Shop Rite. They have a better selection and a customer focused staff to make your shopping enjoyable. read more

I live down the street from this Stop and Shop. I go here only if I am in a rush and need something fast. The store is way overpriced and checkout always seem to take forever. The only reason they are getting 2 stars instead of 1 is because of the cleanliness of the store. I feel like I could eat off of the floor if I needed to. I do most of my grocery shopping either at Walmart (gets very busy but is open 24 hours) or Costco. So if you need a quick 1 item and out I would go here, but if you are doing your shopping for the week, they have better deals elsewhere. read more
