I loved the fries, they were kind of a thin cut steak fry, with lots of little crunchy bits. There were other intriguing things on the menu, so I think we'll put this in the rotation as a meet up spot! Everything else was downhill. It took us over an hour and a half to get served two side salads, lasagna, spicy penne. The table we were sat at was made up but not wiped. The lasagna was mush,.. the noodles were just mushy globs. Everything was so, so terrible. The penne was actually cooked correctly but it was just one note with the sauce. I am so disappointed. The poor service made it just so much worse. It was very, very loud in the back room. The ladies bathroom needed serviced. It wasn't the worst, but for the price of the food, we deserved more than a McDonald's cleanliness and paper towels in the sink and floors.

The chef even gave us a taste of his gumbo which he was selling the next day. The bowl was amazing. Everything was fresh and cooked well. I was really surprised by the size of the piece of fish which was perch as normally perch is not so large. We were joined by a group of family and friends and everyone enjoyed the food from the mac & cheese to the jerk chicken to the fried fish bowl and falafel. If I'm ever back in town, I will definitely stop by. Well, in the shop, I did a little bit of shopping as well and picked up a very cute leaf pottery. I love how it natural it looks, but then it will also match the other leaf pieces I already have. The store has a wide a food on the shelf or in the fridge section plus really pretty crochet, pottery, jewelry, and other items. The store has something for everyone. Finally, we enjoyed the coffee shop which had really delicious lemonades and a number of people in our party also had coffee drink drinks. I think Tulipan's take on the Dobos torte was probably the least authentic of the three, but it was not a bad cake. I've seen it with more layers and a caramel top. This one had four layers (still impressive and a pain in the arse to make I'm sure!) and no caramel. This bakery is very cute and the service is very friendly. My son also asked for some macarons, which he seemed to like, but he couldn't finish them because he said he was full. We were there around 12:30 PM and I think most of the items were fairly picked over in the bakery case by that time. There was an interesting raspberry thing that I wanted to try, but the person in line right before me bought the last one. The baklava looked temping too. I am pretty proud of myself for not buying too many sweets. I would return here if I were in the area and try some different items.

It came on toasted, marbled, rye, with feta cheese, fresh, sliced jalapeños, fresh, sliced pineapple, and Swiss cheese. I always love, trying things that combine, savory, sweet, and spicy. So I was hoping for the best with this one, and it delivered. The sandwich came with hot waffle, fries, and a side of ketchup. Shout out to the two people working, as they were completely overwhelmed, but getting food out to tables regardless. I was expecting a pretty long wait time based on the orders ahead of me, but my food came out in under 10 minutes. I was impressed all things considered. My only small complaint is the pricing is just a little bit high for what you get. Especially a grilled cheese. It's just bread, pineapple, jalapeño, and cheese. I don't feel like that should cost $13. I wish the waffle fries came with it for that price. But they were an additional three dollars, as well as three dollars for a fountain drink. After taxes and tip, it was a little over $23. That's a pretty steep price to pay for what was supposed to be a simple lunch. I would definitely come here again, but not on the regular simply based on the high prices.

It's large, several tables - we were able to play some card games while we drank. A nice spot, clearly?l, to come with friends. The important part - their beers were all solid. I have had a couple of their beers in the past, but at Land Grant's Oktoberfest my friend kept bringing me their Cold IPA (I was pouring for Sierra Nevada) - my girlfriend - who grew up in Wooster - ended up pouring JAFB. I believe the brewer Josh was at Oktoberfest, too! Plain and simple? It's a good damn brewery. I look forward to coming back in the future.
