They have one of the best service writers around, his name is Bill. He is hands down one of the best people I've worked with in this industry. His communication is outstanding. He keeps me updated every step of the way, which is crucial in our industry because I have clients who need us to pick up right away. In my TOP 3 worst places to have had the displeasure of being held hostage at.... IS THIS place. Not many companies consistently lie as boldly and with a straight face as Stoops Freightliner here in Indianapolis, IN My dealings with the Kenworth dealership I should be able to rely on has failed me miserably on so many occasions. BUT Most ALL of experiences with other Freightliner dealers to make repairs to Cummins engine have been OK I'm not even gonna go into the plethora of lies and failures of this dealership.. but suffice it to say... if you are an O/O be prepared to be lied to and pushed to the side for their top customers.. and I can assure you it's not you. what was quoted as possibly 4 to 5 hrs has turned into 2 days!!!! for absolutely no reason to be lied to. One star because a half isn't an option. Sent a list of repair items I needed on an M2-106 chassis on Monday. Confirmed I'd be there for day at 7am. Other than my three primary items I added a fourth that was "PM - if time permits". 5.5 hours later all they did was the PM for $1200. Even charged me a gallon of washer fluid when it toon a cup at best. Never going to any Stoops again. Worst experience ever. Total waste of a day. read more

We were aks to bring our truck back. So we took our truck in for a PM. The first time they said it was all good. We picked up our truck got to the light right down the street an all kind of warning lights came on. Now this was not a problem before we put the truck in there shop. Pulled back in an was told that if they were going to look at it would have to stay for another week or so for them to get to it. Now that's not the bad part!! They not only want us to be out of work but it would be $486. Just for there time. This place is all bad. If you can go somewhere else please do. After calling and discussing all issues with my tractor they did nothing to fix it while it sat here for 2 weeks. Honestly the worst experience at a truck shop I've ever been to. After I was back home nowhere near their shop they said that they would only accept payment by card in person. So I would have to fly halfway across the country to come here to pay for service to happen to my truck. I called and said I will be picking the truck up first thing in the morning they said they would have it ready for me. When I got to what should be called shits I was told it's going to take at least 45 minutes for them just to have my truck ready to go because they may still have tools on it. All he did was a PM and none of the other services that were requested by me. Horrible horrible place to bring your truck to, I would never recommend them! read more

Don't have your truck repaired here! We had fuel pump go out on a 2011 Freightliner. They repaired it (took them 6 weeks), then later down the road the truck broke down in Madison, WI. We took it to the Freightliner dealer there and they said whoever installed the fuel pump did not tighten it properly. It came loose and damaged the flywheel housing and crankshaft. The engine now has to be replaced at a cost of $34k! I called Stoops and they denied any wrongdoing. STAY AWAY! They do not stand by their work. read more

Warning to everyone going into this shop for repairs, long wait times. Service Writers can be none responsive 'no urgency' dead personalities. They don't smile, extremely poor greeting. Just expect it ahead of time and don't let it bother you. Qualcomm shop work is questionable -damaging other stuff in truck and not owning up to it. From my perspective this is the most dirtiest freightliner shop and yard I've seen. All I'm saying, personalities fits how this place look with attitudes. You can't get this place to answer phone,email or service appointment made online. I have a 2021 Thor Aria RV with Freightliner chassis Been fighting TPMS system since driving off lot. Was in shop 45 days Last winter. I picked up and the system maybe worked 50 miles. Constant communication errors Or system just goes dead. Never has correct reading. More irritated about the fact you can't get anyone to respond. I'm now turning over to Thor to arrange repairs. Dropping off and said call me when fixed correctly. read more

If I could give a negative 5 stars for this place, I definitely would. I brought my 2020 Freightliner Cascadia in for an oil change & before I gave them the keys, I closed the curtains to my bunk area. When I FINALLY got my truck back, it appeared that someone had been in my bunk area going through my personal items...I had placed things in certain areas & they were not as I left them. Nothing was missing but it was very obvious they'd been in my private area looking around. The police must have a warrant to enter that area, who do these guys think they are? I'm considering filing a police report on this incident, this is inexcusable. Was it because I'm a single female driver? And especially during this COVID-19 crisis! I don't want people inside my truck at all, much less having guys without masks or gloves on snooping around. They should change the name to Snoops. Stay far away from here. Not only that, it took 6 hours to get an oil change. They don't value trucker's privacy. read more

This is one of the worst company that I ever went to. They are not descriptive about anything they offer, I booked a truck for a test drive for a deposit of 1,000 dollars, and when I did not like the truck I booked obviously because the truck had defects and was not in good condition to buy, I never got my deposit back. Person named Stephen Dunkin, refused to pay me back my deposit for a truck I did not buy due to bad conditioning and had a very bad attitude while dealing with my situation. This place has the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced! IF AT ALL POSSIBLE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!! I understand when people make mistakes... everyone is human... but this place consistently provides horrible experiences for their customers. We have been a customer for more than 7 years and have been here more times than I care to admit... unfortunately we have no where else to go for our Sprinter vehicles to be serviced. This last visit we had scheduled routine maintenance... called ahead to make sure we could drop off the truck (early in the morning) and pick up the next day middle of the afternoon. We confirmed with their team multiple times we needed to be able to pickup the truck by 3:30 PM and everyone we talked to assured us it would be easily finished by then. When we actually arrived to drop off the truck the lady in service department acted like it was now going to be a problem for the truck to be finished by the next afternoon... so this alarmed us and we talked with another person in the service department who said they could have it ready on time. The next day we again called in the morning to make sure we could have the vehicle be completed on time (we had arranged for one of our team members to be dropped off and to drive the vehicle home... we are almost 2 hours away). As with all the other people we spoke to this person said it would be ready... and could you believe it... our person arrives at 3:30 PM for the scheduled pickup time and they did not even have our truck started for service. Our guy had to wait around for almost 3 hours before they were finished with it. If only this was the first time this has happened... if you wonder why we were calling to confirm so many times... its because last time we took a vehicle over to them we had to wait 7 hours when they told us on the phone it would only take 1 hour! Worse yet this time... we had approved a glow-plug replacement and the routine service and requested multiple times that if any other repairs were needed for them to call me to get approval on additional repairs... $800 later and no phone call for approval... they didn't apologize, they didn't even say anything about being 3 hours late. What they did do is constantly lie to us... on the phone and to our person in their waiting room. "Your vehicle will be ready in just 10 minutes" or "just finishing the paperwork" these are their lies. Seriously... if you can go somewhere else... don't waste your time or money here. read more

Great dealership. Most Repair shops worry more about getting your truck in their shop and getting your money. Stoops number 1 goal is to get your truck up and running and they ask for a fair price when they're done. They offer shuttles to hotels and restaurants and have great waiting facilities. read more

Stoops Body shop is the worst shop, My truck damaged in an accident on Feb 11, 2019. they took 4 months to replace the bumper and drive axle, and springs. 06-10-2019 truck ready to pick up but found axle left loose and missing about several bolts, again put in the shop and next day driver pick up the load found drive axle moved and brought the truck back to shop found one spring left without bolt, and till today 06/25/2019 I am still waiting to pick up my truck.and they not returning my call. read more

I wish I could leave 0 stars. We had an issue with our truck over the weekend. We had it towed to Stoops. They said that if we arrived before 5:00 they would still work on it, and if not they would leave our part outside. Needless to say we called repeatedly from 4:30 until 5 to let them know we would be cutting it close so please just leave our part outside. Nobody answered. I'm positive they left a half hour early and closed. WORST part is they DID NOT LEAVE OUT OUR PART. We could have fixed it ourselves and been on our way. We were stuck all night in their parking lot. Very disappointed in this company, crew, and presence in Indianapolis. They also didnt care one little bit when they opened the next day and we were sitting in their parking lot. No apologies. DO NOT TAKE YOUR TRUCK THERE! You will sit there all day and your truck will still not be fixed. They do not stand by their work; was there today and left not more than 20 miles and having the same issue. They told us if we bring the truck back, they would bill us again. They were supposed to test drive the truck and it was never done. Spent $475 in labor to put on a $.67 part, that should have taken no more than 30 minutes. I REPEAT, DO NOT TAKE YOUR YOUR TRUCK THERE! PS. They have a shuttle coming by regularly because it is not uncommon for you to spend a night or two there waiting for your truck. read more

My owner/operator is very happy with the service he receives from the trailer service department, particularly from Jeff. He is friendly and helpful and gets our guys in and out pretty quickly with any equipment repairs. This place promised a wait time of 2 hours when I called 4 hours ahead. My driver got there and they told him it would be a 36 hour wait. Laura, was completely rude and got a sick attitude when I tried telling her that I was quoted that wait time. She also said all the people from the first shift were gone but Chris. I asked to talk to Chris and he said he was one of the people I talked to earlier but Laura was arguing in the background saying they were not going to see my driver. Chris said "sorry mam, we usually have ER which handles problems like yours but we are backed up so we can't today." I asked him if anybody else was there from earlier (first shift) and he said, "yes, we are all still here." She lied and wanted to be nasty for no other reason than I wanted to find out if my driver could please be seen since it was just a simple issue (windshield washer not spraying). There was a terrible line of miscommunication but she didn't like me pointing it out. I would go elsewhere if you can. You might be stuck there for days and you will not have proper customer service in the "SERVICE" department. read more

I needed a road service call and they didn't show up. I finally, after three hours, was able to get up and running on my own without any assistance from them. They still charged me a hefty fee for the service call and a diagnostic fee for which they did not do. I understand they may have been on route to me and a small fee could be charged against me, however at no time would they have done any diagnostics of the vehicle issue. I found this company difficult to work with and would not return my inquiry on this issue. as an owner operator,i arrived at stoops at 10am went thru bay said it would be 2hrs before a diagnostic/estimate could be done on trucks,well 2 hrs turned into 14hrs,then told it would be 2days before they could start on a repair,my problem is how can they justify 2hrs labor when all the diagnostic was in hookup computer to ecm run regen on truck 30-45 minutes and it gives all info needed on codes etc. I left with truck since they left keys in it and said I owed them $250.00 I told them as far as I am concerned for my waste of time you wasted neither owes anyone anything,they can stick their bill where sun don,t shine,go to Clarke Detroit right down from there they are honest straight forward and reasonable a diagnostic only $50.00 read more

I found my phone conversation with Carl rude and dismissive. My call was definately a disruption to his day. His comment well made when he indicated that he has 900 accounts. I got the message loud and clear... my account is not important. Nor my business appreciated. I too do business with hundreds of accounts.
