Two techs were able to come the next morning (a man and a woman, whose names I don't recall). They arrived on time, diagnosed the problem (a dirty flame probe that detects whether there is a flame when the gas is turned on), and fixed our problem. Sergey came right on time the next day. He took the time to put covers on his shoes and was very patient while listening to my explanation of the problem - including dealing with folding mirrored doors that needed to be removed to access the dryer. Sergey was very organized and methodical. He skillfully removed the heavy doors and pulled the dryer out, being careful not to damage the track the doors roll on. He checked the back of the dryer and then the vent on the roof. He showed me photos of the clog in the vent and gave me a price for cleaning it. He said he may need to clean inside the dryer as well. After seeing how much lint came out of the vent hose, I told him to go ahead and clean inside the dryer as well. I'm glad I did, it was a fire hazard waiting to happen! Sergey cleaned everything up and carefully put the mirrored doors back on - making sure to adjust the screws so they move freely. Most think the homeowners are not knowledgeable and we aren't, otherwise we would fix it ourselves. However, we have everything else you need to be a judge of a clean, knowledgeable, honest, and efficient repair person. Marian's first visit was to vacuum out our Thermador refrigerator and garage fridge. I wasn't in the mood to meet him but my husband told me how he worked. I liked what I heard. About 2 weeks later the heavier door on the Thermador fridge slumped. To be honest, it wasn't to my satisfaction brand new, the door was sticking out a little but after a remodel of the entire home, one gets burnt out. Marian fixed the door better than the brand new one installed and showed us why and how the problem happened. The stove he changed the lights effectively and fast. Then the big question came from me, can you take the oven door off and take it apart to be cleaned? I've asked 2 other appliance companies if they could but they said it takes a long time and is not easy. Then I said, I can make a new appointment for this for you to come back. He said, he could fix it now. My oven door has 3 glasses. To watch him take off the door and apart was pretty amazing because of his calm, perfected work speed and stress-free demeanor. After the repair, the fridge still leaked and frosted. After investigation on my part, I found that the temperature was not cold enough and needed to refill freon which was quoted at 800 dollars. I agreed and after three weeks, I found another person to do the freon for 300 bucks. Chris did respond after I texted with updates saying someone was out of town and when he return, could do the work. Extremely unhappy that this could not be resolved after paying so much for apparently a simple repair.
