Matt repaired my Samsung fridge for freezing at the back panel. First, in Oct 2022, he installed an extra heating element for $340 and promised me that the issue is permanently addressed. Then, I had the same issue again within 4 months in Feb 2023 and this time, he replaced the evaporator cover assembly for another $75 and promised me that this is the ultimate fix and I would not have to worry about this issue again. Now, I have the same issue for the last 3 months and when I contacted them, they are essentially asking for another $537 to fix this issue and claiming that they won't even come and check why their fix didn't work because the fix is out of warranty. I would expect any decent technician to at least find out why their "ultimate fix" did not work and do what they can to address the same issue for which they were already paid $415. Please avoid because ultimately what matters is whether they stand up to their work and not whether they are nice on their first visit.

I'm just trying to be a good neighbor by sharing something that might help someone else, so please consider the spirit in which I'm posting this. Anyone who has experienced a problem with a clothes dryer because of years of accumulated lint will probably understand why I have my dryer vent cleaned every two years. When I was younger, climbing onto the roof to run a rotating brush through the vent pipe connecting the dryer to the outside wouldn't have been a problem. Moving the dryer away from the wall to access the exhaust vent wouldn't have stopped me either. Age is now a factor, and I've learned that sometimes preventive maintenance also means knowing when to let someone else do the climbing and heavy lifting.
