My sewing machine was in bad shape and so I took it to Hart's for repair. They told me he picked up/dropped off on Wednesdays but when I went back after the weekend with my cord/pedal he had already picked it up! The turnaround was les than a week and my machine was great at first but then the feed dogs broke again : ( I called he and told me to bring it to the shop. He repaired it again - no charge (warranty) and even explained why I was having issues and how to prevent them. Turns out I was using the wrong bobbins and not threading the bobbin winder properly either. He sounds a bit clipped on the phone, but really a very nice guy and good and at explaining things. Very fast turnaround second time as well. I will use him for all my sewing machine repairs in the future! read more

This business seems to be closed and I was told he's not taking repairs by my fabric store. I called the number and it's been discontinued.

I think they're gone. No hours, called and left message, drove to vacant lot. Too bad.

What I liked: convenient location and hours, pleasant people, competent service What I didn't like: high price, scare tactics about a minor issue, mixing religion with business I paid $185 for a routine cleaning/service on my domestic sewing machine. He looks at your machines at no cost. He knows exactly what he's doing. He does not waste your time and he fixes things to perfection. He is well worth, his money because he actually certified on the machines he is servicing you can get your sewing machines serviced with confidence knowing that what he says is going to hold up he fixes and repairs older machines and can even sell you ones that you were trying to fine you can buy it with confidence. he is honest and trustworthy. I recently bought a used machine on eBay by pristine sewing. I had the most horrible experience with the person that I bought from eBay who gave Doc Stitches a bad review. Please ignore that review because it was just a disgruntled person on eBay who should know better. if Pristine Sewing had any integrity, they would've called Doc Stitches and asked what the problem with their machine was, so please disregard his one star given by this unprofessional eBay seller. This guy cost me hundreds of dollars lost by telling my customer her Bernina 930 record needed a clutch and it would cost $500-$600. I happen to have a freind that is a Bernina tech . Thats all he fixes told me that all the Bernina 930 record models clunk. This not only cost me the sale but lost money in shipping fees as well. The clutch is mainly only a few parts made of plastic behind the hand wheel and would only take 1-hour at the most to replace. Also there are no new genuine Bernina clutches to be bought to install. So basicly you would be paying big money to replace a used part with another used part.I say to you stick to your Singers because you don,t know crap about a Bernina 930 record. read more

I used this repair shop for my Elna sewing machine. The owner is one of the nicest men I have ever worked with. He helped me know how to ship it (as I live outside CA) and was very supportive. He fixed my machine VERY fast and when it came back, it was better than brand new! I can't recommend this repair shop enough.
