Ronnie from Friendly Installations did a wonderful job in the installation of my microwave and oven. This installation was a bit unusual due to the confines of the cabinetry. He showed up, we discussed a few options, he took accurate measurements, made a phone call to a fabricator he works with and two weeks later the job was done. He was pleasant, on time, has great communication, and is neat and respectful of property. I would absolutely recommend him. read more

Ronnie was the first person to respond to a request for help installing a new washing machine. He was kind, prompt, and clear in what he'd provide. His proposal was fair and came in below another proposal from a different installer. On the delivery day, he picked up my new washing machine from Home Depot and with a strong helper, got our old machine out of the house (including down stairs). He even moved our old dryer over so we could clean behind it. And to top it off, he cleaned out the dryer vent in the process (and didn't even charge me extra)! He's just a super nice and helpful kind of guy. By the way, turns out he also installed our dishwasher a few years ago and his customer service was excellent then as well. I highly recommend Ronnie and Friendly Installations. read more

Friendly Installations - New washing machine - Appliances & Repair Near Me

I needed an under-counter refrigerator installed in an extremely tight space. The opening was only a 1/16" (or less) in width than the width of the refrigerator. Ronnie, the owner of Friendly Installations, was recommended by the local Santa Cruz Appliance store, BID. I now completely understand why they recommended him. Ronnie contacted me soon after I called him and we quickly arranged a delivery date and time. He also kept me updated on his arrival time on the day of the installation. Ronnie carefully handled the refrigerator so that there were no scratches or other damage to my newly purchased, high-end, and very expensive fridge. He had the equipment required to safely and expertly transport the fridge from his truck to where it was to be installed. The clearances on either side of the refrigerator were so incredibly small that it seemed like it was going to be impossible to fit it into the space. However, Ronnie's many years of experience and skill allowed him to look at the problem from a variety of angles and come up with a solution. He installed the refrigerator without scraping the sides. The alternative would have been for my contractor to shave down the sides of the opening to create more room and make it possible to push the refrigerator into the under-counter space. I was so relieved and happy that Ronnie figured out a solution. The only other decent appliance installation company that I have used in the past is over the hill in San Jose. Worse, that other company was hard to book with and their price was significantly more expensive than Ronnie's extremely reasonable cost. It's wonderful having a local businessman with all the skills needed to do an excellent job. The big bonus is that Ronnie is an exceptionally kind and conscientious business owner. He was great to work with. I will definitely use Friendly Installations for any future appliance installations. read more

BID referred us to Friendly Appliance Installations for the install of a new dishwasher. Ronnie came out and did the removal of the old unit, which was a good bit of work given its 23 years of sitting in place, and then installed the new unit. Ronnie is highly skilled and a consummate professional with extensive experience, and he is someone who pays a great deal of attention to detail. I hung around and pestered him with lots of questions, and just generally enjoyed watching him work. In addition to being exceptional at his craft, he is an absolutely splendid person to spend time around. He took great pains to ensure our dishwasher was properly plumbed in and square. I highly recommend Ronnie for your appliance installation needs. I'm most happy to have him as a reference for future work. read more

Rannie is the best of the best! We have relied on his expertise several times now, and have always meant to leave a glowing review. He is so knowledgeable and usually has an idea about what's going on with an appliance just from our description, before even looking at it! He is the kindest most humble person and absolutely wonderful to work with! Rannie is always prompt in responding and has been very flexible when the timing of appointments has had to change. We would give him 20 stars if we could! Thank you Rannie! read more

Rannie cam to install my over the range microwave. It was almost impossible to find one that would fit the dimensions of our old one and we already had one purchase that an installer said would not work. We were crossing our fingers when Rannie arrived. He quickly assessed the challenge and made it clear the he would find a way. He was efficient and clean and did the entire job by himself. Additionally I had a nice conversation with him while he worked and I did some painting nearby. His work is excellent. Would hire him for any installation. read more

Ronnie is the sole owner of "Friendly Appliance Installation" and he is one of the friendliest people in this world. Our first job was a Bosch induction cooktop installation which only required Ronnie to do a little minor carpentry to enlarge the hole. Our second job was a difficult install replacing our "built in" Frigidaire gas oven and microwave with a GE Cafe electric oven and GE Cafe Advantium oven (microwave with 3 other heating elements). We measured, but it was a lot more complicated then a simple measurement. So we hired Ronnie to determine whether the ovens would fit, and he determined it would work with some minor carpentry which he could do. He referred us to an electrician friend who added a 40 amp circuit for the oven at a reasonable price. Ronnie then did the carpentry and installation. Looks great and works well. His next challenge was Christine's refrigerator which compared to our old refrig is a behemoth. The challenge was getting it into the house. BID sent two big guys to provide the muscle, and Ronnie provided the smarts. He was ready to remove the refrigerator doors if necessary, but fortunately it wasn't. He just removed several boards from our front porch in order to get the behemoth inside. We love our new appliances. They have made our lives easier. The Advantium oven cooks a frozen pizza in 11 minutes using minimal power and creating minimal heat during those hot summer day. The induction cooktop boils water for pasta in half the time of gas or electric cooktops. read more

Amazing service! Probably one of the friendliest companies I have worked with. Even though Best Buy messed up several time for the installation of the fridge and these guys were just supposed to do the waterline, they took care of everything! I really appreciate them going out of their way. read more

Extra bonus, reasonable rates.Ronnie also referred me to another business that I need that handles their business like him. I definitely recommend this company! Enrique came out to measure my dishwasher dimensions (Best Buy apparently contracts out to them to come out and take measurements, free of charge! Kudos to Best Buy as well!) Enrique was so helpful and friendly! He went above and beyond to find out which brand dishwasher would work, as the countertop height is shorter than most standard dishwashers. (Extra points for him dealing with my curious kitty and giving him pets! ) Enrique is the best! Amazing service, and they live up to their name! read more

We had originally purchased a LG dishwasher and it was leaking (manufacture defect) we could not get any help through LG in order to replace it. after asking for Ronnie's advice, he had us reach out to Best Buy to get a new one coming, he went above and beyond to help us expedite the replacement which is a KitchenAid dishwasher (best ever). Ronnie did an excellent job on installation and customer service was superior to any other! We highly recommend him and his services, he made the whole process so much less stressful!!! read more

Rannie Araujo delivered and installed a dishwasher for me. He called to say he was on his way and arrived on time. He came in with booties and a mask and made sure he was safe and then brought in protection for my flooring. He noticed that the wall that would soon hold my new oven was missing the electrical outlet and informed me that the people delivering won't install because they don't touch hot wires, nor do they put in plugs. It's code, so I couldn't just use the wires there. Amazingly, Rannie could do this. First, he installed my dishwasher. Of course he made sure everything was in working order. True to his word, Rannie returned 2 hours later after delivering and installing other dishwashers, after stopping to pick up the supplies needed for a new outlet. Rannie was able to figure out how to squeeze the oven into what appeared to be a tinier space (it wasn't but had millimeters on each side left) after installing the outlet. He also raised the oven to the level of the counters since that area didn't have the flooring that I installed years ago. Again, Rannie made sure all burners and the oven worked. He showed me how to use the features and cleaned up after himself. It is so comforting to find someone who can do it all and with a smile (no, I didn't see his mouth, but his eyes showed his twinkle) and friendly demeanor. I will definitely turn to him if I need my appliances repaired or installed. read more
