I see how some other consumers had not so good experiences with Stoneworks. Our experience was very good. We were redoing the dining room floor. So, this was a relatively small job. There was a delay in the start of the job. After a couple of weeks of waiting, I had to call Ed to prompt him to start. But after that the job was done quickly and professionally. The work was done in a couple of days; the floor looks great; the workers treated my wife with courtesy during the work; they did a great cleanup afterward. So, based on my experience, I recommend Stoneworks. read more

How wrong I was when I rated this business 5 stars a couple of months ago. It started all good with me placing order and waiting for installation. However it took more than 2 weeks between templating and installation of the counter. I was promised a few days initially. Secondly when counter was delivered team broke glass in my storm door. Glass is everywhere and I am keep trying to clean it up. It's been 2 weeks since they removed my door and I have no clue when it will be returned. Thirdly I ordered a kitchen sink from that place and SURPRISE! one week later I see rust on it I contacted the store and never heard back from them on when and how sink will be replaced. Customer service is terrible and team don't want to listen to anything or support clients if there are any problems Would not recommend that place to anyone read more

WOW!!! I live in a wonderful townhouse in Ashland, MA. BUT, built in the early 1980s had a 'limited' galley kitchen. Had done the DIY that I could, but could do no more. Connected with Holly, the AMAZING designer, we co-created a wonderful, contemporary - albeit still galley, kitchen. LOVE! Great construction team, great work. YES, patience required when doing a renovation, especially amidst pandemic 'fallout' supply-chain challenges. But TOTALLY WORTH IT!!! read more

The general consensus of this company appears to be very accurate; if everything goes perfectly, you get a great result; if something goes wrong, you're on your own. We had Stonework update our kitchen floor and counters. Everything went well until the last phase, with the installation of the counter backsplash. Due to the necessity of moving outlets forward to accommodate the installation, they messed up the wiring in one outlet. Since I didn't catch this immediately, I wrote the final check for the job. After noticing this issue, I attempted to contact the company to fix this problem but received no reply. Now I'm paying an electrician to come in to fix their mistake. This is a small thing but appears to be indicative of their approach to their installation projects. read more

UPDATE: The original installation took place April/May 2014 and the day after the installer left I spoke with Ed @ Stoneworks about my concerns. He told me to wait a month or so, that the grout would cure, but it didn't. After literally weekly calls, emails and visits, in December I filed a BBB complaint and published poor reviews on Yelp and Google. At the end of January 2015, Ed called us back - there was no explanation about what had been going on but he said he'd get the installer out to look at it the problem. I was skeptical but the installer did show up as promised. He was clearly irritated with me and it was awkward. Long story, not so short, he came back another day and it took him 4 hours to regrout and fix all the issues. I waited to update my review b/c I wanted to see if the issue returned, and I'm happy to say, it has not. I've previously purchased material from and had Stoneworks install a marble vanity and a kitchen backsplash. I had no issue with the workmanship on the these two projects. I understand installation problems occur and things can't be perfect. It was Ed's response to the problem that bothered me. Odds are, if you go with Stoneworks, and the installation goes well, there won't be any problems. But if you do have problems during/post installation, that's where it gets dicey with them - specifically Ed. Although they fixed the problem for me, I am still giving them a 1 star rating b/c of the way I was treated. read more

I wish I had read the other poor review before doing business with Ed. He is a crook. Ed tried to charge us nearly double ($9,000) for the exact same countertops that I ended up buying for $5,000 from a very reputable company. When I asked him about the discrepancy in the quotes I had gotten, he claimed that I was clearly making him compete with a wholesaler and that my architects plans were terrible; although, my contractor had had no problem with the plans for months and Ed, himself, had come to measure my kitchen so was not even giving a quote from the measurements in the plans. Terrible experience: I ordered an island and marble counter-tops for my kitchen. Prices are reasonable and Ed seamed friendly enough. Installation was delayed by a week because their compressor broke. Not too big of an issue because I know stuff happens. I also scheduled to have my old backsplash removed before the new counter-tops were to be installed. When the installers showed up they were mad because my sink plumbing was not connected and they had no clue about the backsplash needing to be removed and prepped. Not once in the process did Ed mention that plumbing needed to be disconnected and prepped. Because nobody ever showed up to remove my old backsplash the installers ripped apart the bottom section of my existing backsplash and left chunks of tile, drywall, and countertop behind my cabinets. Ed said he would make sure to schedule somebody to come and do the backsplash work.... two weeks later and this hasn't happened. I called twice last week and still haven't got a response. I'm left with a destroyed backsplash and unfinished kitchen. To add insult I noticed the edge of the island and countertops didn't seam right. We were supposed to have a coved edge on the island and eased on the countertops. I confirmed this against the receipt he gave me. They did Ogee edge on all of them!!! I undertand Ogee edge is actually more expensive but it's not our style or what we ordered. read more

Abbreviated Version: Don't use Stoneworks. The owner, Eddy, comes across as a super nice guy, but he's a bit of a snake. If everything goes well, you'll likely be okay. If *anything* goes wrong, you'll likely spend weeks, if not months, trying to get it addressed. Seriously, save yourself the headache, go someplace else. We tried to be smart consumers by discussing our concerns with Stoneworks (some bad reviews) prior to selecting them, but it didn't matter, we were fooled just like most of the other people in the other reviews. Don't be fooled, use somebody else. We wouldn't recommend them and will never use them again. Details: There is a large backstory with many issues, but the biggest complaint we had was in regards to Customer Service, most evident in this issue. We bought our granite, backsplash & sink through Stoneworks. In regards to the bullnose: there was none ordered for the edges of the backsplash. Being fair: We never asked about it as we didn't know what it was. Is that on my wife and I? I suppose, but you go to a store like Stoneworks to help guide you through the process as not everyone has remodeled a kitchen - and Eddy never once asked if we needed any. We ordered the bull nose tile after our contractor asked where it was, and this is where Eddy really failed in our opinion. He first told us it should be in the following week. That came and went with no Bullnose Tile. The estimated delivery became another week away, and again that came and went with no tile. I waited a 2 full weeks after that, not bugging him at all and called then, 4 weeks after the order and was finally told: "It just got delivered, come pick it up whenever". We were ecstatic, the final piece of our kitchen. 1 hour after that phone call I got an email from him (no call) basically saying "Just kidding, it's not in, I'll follow up when I have more information". I called 2 times over the next week, got his VM both times, no return call. I ended up going to another Tile store (Tile Plus More, in Natick - recommend them), I ordered the bullnose on a Friday, it was delivered to my home the following Tuesday. What took Eddy 4 weeks (And, still wasn't in at the time I finally cancelled (5 weeks) took this other company 4 days. Now, this didn't impact the functionality of the kitchen, but was a further delay and is ridiculous that 1) I had to deal with the run-around that Stoneworks gave us, and 2) I had to go to another company to actually fulfill the order. read more

We had very good experience with Stoneworks. I looked around at several places for quartz countertops and they had good competitive prices. Plus, our kitchen contractor had several delays and Stoneworks was really easy for rescheduling new dates for our template and install. read more

We ordered a piece of stone from Stoneworks and paid the balance up front. We were then advised that the stone was not available in the size required for the job and that we would receive a refund. However, in spite of several efforts to get out money back, Stoneworks personnel has been non-responsive and rude, including hanging up the phone in the middle of a conversation. Don't go here. The owner Ed, is a bad businessman, and just a bad person. I ordered my granite tax free weekend in August. My paperwork clearly states that it would be ready August 18th. Here it is October 18th, and I still don't have it. They are holding up my entire kitchen project, and even worse, the owner does not respond to email and has not returned my call. I just finished remodeling my kitchen and I had to share my experience with you. This was first remodel so I did expect some difficulties along the way.
